TO REDUCE THE RISK OF A RANGE TOP
GREASE FIRE:
A. Never leave surface units unattended at high settings.
Boilovers cause smoking and greasy spillovers that
may ignite. Heat oils slowly on low or medium settings.

INSTALL THE DUCTWORK

2. A straight, short duct run will allow the hood

4. Install a roof or wall cap. Connect round

wards hood location. Use duct tape to seal
the joints between ductwork sections.

Note: This range hood must be properly
grounded.The unit should be installed by
a qualified electrician in accordance with
all applicable national and local electrical
codes.
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance must be grounded. In the
event of an electrical short circuit, grounding
reduces the risk of electric shock by
providing an escape wire for the electric
current. This appliance is equipped with a
cord having a grounding wire with a
grounding plug. The plug must be plugged
into an outlet that is properly installed and
grounded.
WARNING - Improper grounding can result in a risk of electric shock.
Consult a qualified electrician if the grounding instructions are not completely
understood, or if doubt exists as to whether the appliance is properly grounded.
Do not use an extension cord. If the power supply cord is too short, have a qualified
electrician install an outlet near the appliance.
Set the electrical power supply within the space covered by the decorative flues.
Position the power socket at a maximum distance of 33-7/16” (85 cm) from where
the lead exits from the hood (see illustration alongside). Make sure this does not
interfere with the bracket fastening area or with the decorative flue (where the flue
touches the wall).
Fit the plug into the power socket.

duct collar on the hood to the ductwork

Non-ducted recirculation Configuration
1. Adjust the width of the flue mounting
bracket to equal the inside width of
decorative flue. Insert and tighten
mounting screws to hold bracket width.

secure flue mounting bracket to the
ceiling as shown.
3. Turn upper flue section upside down so
air vents are at the top. Slide upper flue
section into lower flue section.
4. Connect the non-ducted recirculation
plenum to the upper flue section with (4)
flat-head screws (supplied).

5. Install the reduction on the discharge collar.
6. Measure the distance from the top of the
reduction to the ceiling. Cut a length of 5"
round metal duct 5" shorter than this
dimension.

7. Fit duct section over the non-ducted
recirculation plenum. For best fit, make sure
duct seam is toward the front.

8. Set duct/flue assembly on hood with top
tilted away from wall. Reach around flue
to engage bottom of duct with discharge
collar on hood. Tilt flue up against wall.
Duct seam can be cut to length if
necessary.
9. Extend the upper flue to the ceiling and
secure with two mounting screws.

INSTALLATION
1. Purchase a charcoal filter (B03300488)
from your dealer.
2. Install the filter by pressing the 2 tabs on
the filter down into the special housing and
rotating upward.

Proper maintenance of the Range Hood will
assure proper performance of the unit.
Grease Filters
The grease filters should be cleaned fre-
quently. Use a warm detergent solution.
Grease filters are dishwasher safe.
Remove filter by pushing filter towards the
back of hood and rotating filter downward.

Charcoal Filter
The charcoal filter should be changed every
6 months. To remove the filter press inward
on the clamp and rotate the filter downward
until the 2 tabs can be removed from the
housing.

Hood Cleaning
Stainless steel is one of the easiest materials
to keep clean. Occasional care will help pre-
serve its fine appearance.
Cleaning tips:
• Hot water with soap or detergent is all that is usually needed.
• Follow all cleaning by rinsing with clear water. Wipe dry with a clean, soft cloth to
avoid water marks.
• For discolorations or deposits that persist, use a non-scratching household cleanser
or stainless steel polishing powder with a little water and a soft cloth.
• For stubborn cases, use a plastic scouring pad or soft bristle brush together with
cleanser and water. Rub lightly in direction of polishing lines or "grain" of the
stainless finish. Avoid using too much pressure which may mar the surface.
• DO NOT allow deposits to remain for long periods of time.
• DO NOT use ordinary steel wool or steel brushes. Small bits of steel may adhere
to the surface causing rust.
• DO NOT allow salt solutions, disinfectants, bleaches, or cleaning compounds to
remain in contact with stainless steel for extended periods. Many of these com-
pounds contain chemicals which may be harmful. Rinse with water after expo-
sure and wipe dry with a clean cloth.
Painted surfaces should be cleaned with warm water and mild detergent only.

The hood is operated using the slide controls
under the bottom of the hood.

The light switch turns the lamps on and off.
The blower switch :makes it possible to
select the motor operating speed. Position 0:
motor off.
The pilot lamp lights up whenever the blower
is on.
HALOGEN BULBS
This range hood requires two halogen bulbs
(Type T4, 12V, 20W).

To change bulbs:
1. Loosen the ring nut by turning it

INSTRUCTIONS POUR LA MISE A LA
TERRE
Cet appareil doit être relié à la terre. En cas
de court-circuit, la mise à la terre réduit le
risque de décharge électrique en
fournissant un câble permettant au courant
d’être dévié. Cet appareil est équipé d’un
cordon ayant un câble de mise à la terre
avec une fiche de mise à la terre. La fiche
doit être branchée dans une prise de
courant correctement installée et mise à la terre.
ATTENTION - Une mise à la terre incorrecte peut entraîner un risque de décharge
électrique.
Consulter un électricien spécialisé si les instructions de mise à la terre ne sont
pas tout à fait compréhensibles ou en cas de doute sur le fait de savoir si l’appareil
est correctement relié à la terre.
Ne pas utiliser de prolongation. Si le cordon d’alimentation est trop court, demander
à un électricien agréé d’installer une prise de courant près de l’appareil.
Régler l’alimentation électrique dans l’espace couvert par le conduit décoratif.
Placer la prise femelle à une distance maximum de 33-7/16” (85 cm) de l’endroit où
le plomb sort de la hotte (voir l’illustration ci-contre). S’assurer qu’il n’y ait pas
d’interférence avec la zone de fixation du support ou avec le conduit décoratif (à
l’endroit où la gaine touche le mur).
Mettre la fiche dans la prise femelle.

1. Régler l’étrier de support, de manière à

3. Faites tourner le conduit décoratif
supériuer vers le bas de sorte que la
évacuation de l’air soit vers le haut. Faites
glisser le conduit décoratif supériuer dans
la section du bas du conduit.

4. Reliez le déflecteur au conduit décoratif
supérieur au moyen de (4) vis à tête plate
(qui vous sont fournies).

5. Installer le réducteur sur le collier
d’évacuation.

6. Mesurer la distance du haut du réducteur
au plafond. Couper une longueur de tuyau
rond en métal de 5" (12,5cm) plus petit
que cette dimension.
7. Placer le jonction du tuyau au-dessus du
deflecteur. Pour une adaptation parfaite,
s’assurer que le jonction du tuyau est
orienté vers l’avant.
8. Placer l’ensemble conduit/tuyau sur la hotte avec la partie supérieure inclinée
loin du mur. Tendre le tuyau pour engager le bas du tuyau dans le collier
d’évacuation sur la hotte. Incliner le tuyau vers le haut contre le mur. Le jonction
du tuyau peut être coupé en longueur si nécessaire.
9. Faire arriver le conduit décoratif supérieur jusqu’au plafond et le fixer à l’aide de
2 vis d’assemblage.

1. Procurez-vous un filtre à charbon
(B03300488) chez votre fournisseur.
2. Installer le filtre en enfilant les 2 languettes
du filtre dans le logement prévu à cet effet
et en le faisant tourner vers le haut.

Un bon entretien de votre hotte garantira

Filtres anti-graisse
Les filtres anti-graisse doivent être nettoyés
fréquemment. Utilisez une solution contenant
un détergent tiède. Les filtres anti-graisse
peuvent être lavés au lave-vaisselle. Enlevez
les filtres en le poussant vers l’arrière de votre
hotte et en les faisant tourner vers le bas.

Filtre à charbon
Le filtre à charbon doit être remplacé tous les
6 mois. Pour remplacer le filtre pousser le
loquet de blocage vers l’intérieur et tourner
le filtre vers le bas de manière à retirer les 2
languettes de leur logement.
Nettoyage de votre hotte
LOQUET
L’acier inoxydable est une des matières les
plus faciles à nettoyer. Un entretien de temps
en temps permettra de le conserver en parfait
état. Conseils pour le nettoyage:
● Eau chaude et savon ou détergent est tout
ce qui est normalement nécessaire.
● Après chaque nettoyage, rincez bien à l’eau claire. Essuyez avec un chiffon
propre et doux afin d’éviter les taches d’eau.
● Si des décolorations ou des dépôts persistent, utilisez un nettoyant domestique
non abrasif ou de la poudre pour l’acier inoxydable et un peu d’eau et un chiffon
doux.
● Dans les cas difficiles, utilisez une éponge en plastique ou une brosse douce
avec du nettoyant et de l’eau. Frottez légèrement en suivant la direction du
polissage ou du “grain” de l’acier inoxydable. Evitez de frotter trop fort afin de ne
pas abîmer la surface.
● NE LAISSEZ PAS les taches trop longtemps.
● N’UTILISEZ PAS de laines d’acier ordinaires ou des brosses en acier. Des débris
d’acier pourraient adhérer à la surface et causer de la rouille.
● NE PERMETTEZ PAS que des solutions salées, des désinfectants, des
blanchissants ou des produits nettoyants restent en contact avec l’acier pendant
longtemps. Beaucoup de ces produits contiennent des produits chimiques qui
pourraient causer des dommages. Rincez à l’eau immédiatement s’ils entrent en
contact et essuyez avec un chiffon humide.
Les surfaces peintes doivent être nettoyées avec de l’eau tiède additionnée d’un
détergent doux seulement.

Coloque el enchufe a una distancia máxima de 33-7/16” (85 cm) desde el cable de
la campana (véase figura adjunta). Asegúrese de que no interfiera con el área de la
abrazadera de sujeción o con el tubo decorativo (donde el tubo decorativo toca con
la pared).
Conecte la clavija al enchufe.

SOPORTE DE
MONTAJE DEL TUBO
1. Regule el soporte de montaje del tubo

3. Dé la vuelta a la parte superior del tubo
de manera que las rejillas de salida del
aire estén en la parte superior. Haga
deslizar la parte superior del tubo hasta
alcanzar la parte inferior de éste.

4. Una el respiradero de aire con la parte
superior del tubo por medio de cuatro
tornillos con cabeza plana (adjuntos).

5. Instale el reductor en el collar de descarga.
6. Mida la distancia desde la parte superior
del reductor hasta el techo. Corte a una
distancia de 5" (12,5 cm) alrededor del
tubo de metal 5" más corto que su medida.
=
7. Instale el tubo en el orificio. Para una mejor
instalación, asegurarse de que la juntura
del tubo se encuentre en la parte frontal.
8. Instale el tubo en la campana con la parte
superior inclinada con respecto a la pared. Alargar el borde del tubo para sujetarlo
a la parte inferior del tubo mediante el collar de descarga en la campana. Inclinar
la parte superior del tubo decorativo contra la pared. La juntura del tubo se
puede cortar longitudinalmente si es necesario.
9. Extendienda la parte superior del
tubo hacia el techo y sujétela con
2 tornillos de montaje.

INSTALACION DEL FILTRO
(CONFIGURACION SIN TUBO)
1. Compre un filtro al carbón (B03300488)
a su proveedor habitual.
2. Instalen el filtro introduciendo las dos
lengüetas del filtro en el alojamiento a
tal efecto y haciendo que gire hacia
arriba.

MANTENIMIENTO
Un mantenimiento adecuado de la campana
asegura el funcionamiento correcto del
aparato.
Filtros antigrasa
Los filtros antigrasa deben limpiarse a
menudo. Use un detergente que no sea
fuerte. El filtro antigrasa se puede meter en
el lavavajillas. Extraiga el filtro tirando de ello
hacia atrás de la campana y girándolos hacia
abajo.

LENGÜETAS
Filtro al carbón
El filtro debe cambiarse cada seis meses.
Para sacar el filtro, empujen el retén hacia
dentro y giren hacia abajo el filtro hasta que
las dos lengüetas salgan de sus
alojamientos.
Limpieza de la campana
RETÉN
El acero inoxidable es uno de los meteriales
más fáciles de limpiar, pero sería
aconsejable un especial cuidado en su uso
para mantenerla en buen estado. La
campana se puede limpiar de las siguientes
maneras:
● Agua caliente con jabón o detergente es la mejor manera para limpiarla.
● Aclárela con agua corriente, séquela con un paño suave y limpio para evitar las
huellas que deja el agua.
● Para las manchas o restos de grasa que persistan, use un producto químico
doméstico que no raye ó un limpiador para acero inoxidable con poca agua y un
paño suave.
● Si las manchas persisten, use un estropajo y un cepillo de cerdas suaves con un
producto limpiador y agua. Frote suavemente en el sentido del pulido o de las
“vetas” del remate del inoxidable. No apriete demasiado porque podría dañar la
superficie.
● No deje que las manchas se acumulen durante mucho tiempo.
● No use utensilios o cepillos de acero. Pequeñas particulas de acero pueden
adherirse y oxidarse.
● No use soluciones salinas, desinfectantes, lejías, o productos de limpieza que
permanezcan en contacto con el acero inoxidable durante largos periodos de
tiempo. Muchos de estos productos contienen componentes químicos que podrían
resultar nocivos. Aclare con agua y seque con un paño limpio.
Las superficies lacadas deben limpiarse solamente con agua tibia y detergente no
muy fuerte.

mandos corrrederos situados en la parte
inferior de la misma.
PILOTO
El interruptor da luz enciende y apaga las
lámparas.
El interruptor del aspirador: regula la
velocidad de trabajo del motor. Posición 0:
motor apagado.
El piloto se enciende cuando el aspirador
está funcionando.
LAMPARAS HALOGENAS
Este tipo de campana necesita dos (2)
lámparas halógenas (Tipo T4, 12V, 20W).
ERA
ANTES DE PROCEDER A CUALQUIER
OPERACIÓN, ES NECESARIO DESCO-
NECTAR EL APARATO. Para cambiar las
lámparas:
1. Destornillar la abrazadera en sentido
antihorario.
2. Extraiga la lámpara oblicuamente. NO LA
GIRE. ATENCIÓN: LAS LÁMPARAS
PUEDEN ESTAR CALIENTES.
3. Sustituir con lámparas del mismo tipo (T4,
12V, 20W). No toque la lámpara de
repuesto con las manos desnudas.
