princciple.
Subwooofers eextendd the baasss respoonse off your ssystem
beyondd the liimmitatioon of moost speeakers.. They aarre used
with, nnot in tthhe placee of, yoour exiisting lleft anndd right
speakkers. AA subwooofer caan drammaticallly enhhance a
dynamiic ranggee on low ffrequeency off stereoo systeemms, or a
full flledgedd hhome theeater.
This acttive subbwooferr featuurres a higghly effficientt ported
enclossure, aa rrugged 112-inchh reinfoorced drriver annd a 500-
watt aamplifiier witthh a passiive low ffrequenncy croossover
networrk. A linne leveell inputt iis proviided foorr fast annd easy
connectiion to virrttually anyy system.

amp, ssurrouund souund decooder, ttelevission orr similaar deviice. Whheen usingg a singgle linne leveel outpput from

Subwooofer. AAY connnectoorr (not iincludded) shhould bee used tto feedd this ssinglee ooutputt to botth the lleft and
the riight liine inpputs.Wiith thiis typee of connnectiioon we reccommennd thatt the LLoow-Passs Filtter shoould be
switchhed off.

Power
The subbwoofeer is eqquipppeed withh both aa Poweerr swittcch and aan Auttoo On swiitch. IIn ordeer to fuunctioon, the
Powerr swittcch mustt be turrn on, iindicaated byy the greeen collor of tthe LEDD. The AAuuto On hhas twwoo Posittions:
ON The subwoofer is on at all time and ready to play program material. AUTO ON As long as no
audioo signnaal is reeceiveed, thee subwooofer iis in Staandby mmode too conseerve poowwer. Whhen ann aaudio ssignal
is sennsed, tthe suubbwooffeer willl swittcch itseelf intto the ffully OOn modee and bbeegin pllayinngg the prrogram
materiial. Whhen a peeriodd oof abouut 2 minnutess ggoes bbyy durinng whiicch no siignal iis senssed, thhe subwwoofer
will reeturn too Standbby mode.
If youu plan tto be aawway foorr an exttendeedd time,, or iff the subwooofer wwiill nott be useed, youu may wish to
turn ooff the PPower sswwitch.
Subwoofer Volume
The leevel conntrol aadjusttss the vollume off the suubwoooffer. Onnce sett, the llevel coontroll shouldd not reequire
furtheer adjuustmennt. Begiin withh the leevvel conntrol at tthe minnimum poositioonn. Slowwlly increease thhe leveel until
you can heaar thee ssubwooofer. AA subwooofer playinng too lloud caan givee your ssystem a mudddy soouund, so
be suree to ballance tthe suubbwoofeer careefullyy with yoou otheer speaakers.. Outpuutt levell is rellativee and can
be diffferentt from llocatioon to loocationn. Alwaays rettuurn to tthe normmal lissteninngg locatiion to eevaluaate any
setting cchanges.
Low pass
The crrossovver freequencyy contrrol deteerminees the hiighestt frequueency at wwhich tthe subbwoofeer reprroduces
sounds. Itt can bbee adjussted frrom 26 HHz to 140Hz.
