3. Follow all instructions in this manual carefully. Do not use attach-

PRECAUTIONS ON USING THE SHAVER
> Do not keep the shaver in a humid place, a place where the shaver
is exposed to splashes of water, or in high temperatures.
> Before shaving, wipe off oiliness of your face. Otherwise, the shav-
ings will stick to the outer foil as the inner blade rubs against it. If
you find the outer foil soiled, wipe it clean with tissue paper or the
like before using the shaver.
> To clean the body case of the shaver, wipe it with a cloth soaked
with a diluted water solution of a neutral detergent. Do not use thin-
ner or benzene as it will damage the plastic portions of the body.
> Do not recharge the shaver or use it with an AC power supply when
the room temperature is below 0° C or over 40° C. Also, never
recharge it under direct sunlight or near a heating element such as
heater or incandescent light.
> Excessive application of shaver oil will also soil the outer foil. In that
case, wipe the foil clean with tissue paper or the like before using
the shaver. When cleaning the shaver, take care not to apply an
excess amount of shaver oil on the inner blade and outer foil.
> Do not recharge the shaver or use it with an AC power supply in a

RECHARGING YOUR SHAVER
*When recharging your shaver, do not use any other AC adaptor other
than the one included with this package.
* Before connecting the power cord plug from the AC adaptor into the
bottom socket of the shaver, make sure that the socket is completely
dry, to prevent any possible malfunction.
First time charging / Recharging after prolonged storage:
Before using your new shaver for the first time or if the shaver has been
in storage for any extended period of time, be sure to recharge the
shaver batteries to their capacity for a full 8 hours before use. Next, use
this full charge until the shaver batteries are completely exhausted. After
this, you can fully recharge your shaver battery in approximately 1 hour.
3. Connect the AC adaptor plug into the AC outlet.
* Your shaver will be fully charged in approximately 1 hour, and the
stored power will last approximately
one week if the shaver is used for 3
minutes daily.
* As the reserve power increases
while the shaver is being recharged,
the power reserve indicator LED
will flash, and then one-by-one, the
LEDs will light from the bottom up, indicating that there is a power
reserve stored in the shaver.
Regular Recharging
1. Slide the “Slide-and-Lock” power switch to its off position and put
the cap on.

WITH THE AC POWER SUPPLY
While the shaver is recharging, a small continuous noise may be heard
or the shaver body or the AC adaptor may build up and emit some
heat. This is not a malfunction.
Checking to see that the power switch is off, insert the power cord of
the AC adaptor securely into the socket at the bottom of the shaver,
and then, insert the outlet plug into the outlet. Then, slide the power
switch on.
After recharging
> After the shaver is recharged for approximately 1 hour, all the power
reserve indicator LEDs and the recharge indicator LED will remain lit
up, indicating that the shaver is fully charged.
> With the shaver connected to the AC adapter, should the shaver not
operate by sliding the power switch on, the rechargeable battery is
completely depleted. In this case, slide the power switch off, allow
the shaver to charge for 1 minute, and then slide the power switch
back on again.
> After recharging, be sure to pull out the power cord plug of the AC
adaptor from the outlet.
> After each use, make sure to slide the power switch off, and
then unplug the AC adapter from the outlet and from the shavers
recharging socket.
* When unplugging the AC adaptor, do not pull the power cord,
as this may cause a malfunction. Be sure to hold the plug when pulling
it out.
> If your environment is humid, such as a bathroom, do not use the
shaver with its AC power supply.

> Do not use soap or shaving foam around the AC power supply
when in use.
BATTERY LIFE
If you recharge your shaver’s battery once a week, the life expectance
of your rechargeable battery is approximate 4 years. Recharging it
more frequently will shorten its lifespan, but battery life varies depend-
ing on usage and storage conditions. When you notice that you are
getting only 2 to 3 shaves per 1-hour recharge, it means that the
battery life is nearing its end. When you reach this time, contact the
retailer from whom you purchased this shaver. If the shaver is stored
and unused for prolonged periods, 6 months or more, the battery’s
capacity will deteriorate due to self-discharge. It is recommended that
the shaver be recharged at least

> When shaving, be sure not to apply too much pressure between the
outer foil and skin on your face. Applying too much pressure can ir-
ritate your skin, as it may dull or damage the foil and wear the outer
foil out at a faster rate.

1. Remove the shaver’s cap, and slide down the power switch on.
Sliding down the power switch again will turn off the shaver. This is the
Lock-and-Slide feature.
> When shaving delicate and harder to reach parts such as the chin or
neck, pull your skin tighter with your hand, and stroke upwards against
the grain of your beard. When shaving your neck, it is often beneficial
to lift your face upwards.
2. Bring the outer foil of the shaver to your face and gently apply enough
pressure that your feel your beard being cut. Stretch the skin of your face
and move the shaver upwards against the grain of your beard.
3. To use the trimming blade, slide it upwards. The trimming blade vi-
brates equally with the inner blade.

careful not to touch the outer foil.
* To remove the inner blade, pull it straight upwards.
* Do not touch the sharp edges of the blade portion of the inner blade.
It is recommended that inner blade be cleaned with the brush at least
once every three (3) washings.
* Do not press hard against the inner blade. Doing so may deform
or damage it, which typically produces a poor shave and an unusual
noise.

4. After cleaning, attach the outer foil unit securely to outer foil frame.
Make sure you do not touch the outer foil.
1. Before cleaning your shaver, be sure to slide the power switch off,
and press both the outer foil frame release buttons on the side at the
same time to remove the outer foil frame.
5. Then, attach the inner blade to the vibrator. Set the outer foil frame
securely to the body, and check that it is well secured on the body.
2. Push the two outer foil unit release knobs inside the outer foil frame
from both sides with fingers, and remove the outer foil unit.

> Turn on the power switch, and run the battery down until the in-
ner blade stops moving. If the shaver is disassembled before the
recharged electricity is depleted, it may cause a shock, catch fire
and cause burns.

> Follow the procedure below to disassemble the shaver with a
screwdriver.

1. Remove the outer foil frame, outer foil frame and inner blade.
2. Loosen and remove the 4 screws on the top and bottom of the
body with a Phillips screwdriver. (See the illustration “A”.)
3. Remove the side and rear panels. (See the illustration “A”.)
4. Loosen and remove the 6 screws with a Phillips screwdriver, and
remove the rear case. (See the illustration “B”.)

5. Cut the lead wires, and take out the Ni-Mh battery from the inner
case, while taking care not to short-circuit the (+) and (–) terminals.

> Si de la lotion avant rasage ou de l’huile de nettoyage du rasoir
reste collée sur le boîtier du rasoir, éliminez-la totalement. Sinon, les
parties en plastique du rasoir pourraient être endommagées.
> Avant le rasage, nettoyez bien les parties grasses de la peau. Sinon,
les poils resteront collés à la grille externe lorsque la lame intérieure
la frotte. Si la grille externe est sale, nettoyez la avec un mouchoir en
papier ou quelque chose du même type avant d’utiliser le rasoir.

> Une utilisation excessive d’huile de nettoyage salira également la
grille externe. Dans ce cas, essuyez la grille externe avec un mouch-
oir en papier ou quelque chose du même type avant d’utiliser le
rasoir. Lors du nettoyage du rasoir, n’appliquez pas une quantité trop
importante d’huile sur la lame interne et sur la grille externe.

Recharger le rasoir dans les
cas suivants
Lors de la première utilisation du ra-
cadre de la grille externe

la batterie/pile rechargeable. Puis, utilisez l’énergie accumulée sans
recharger le rasoir jusqu’à son arrêt complet. Après cela, une charge
d’une heure environ rechargera complètement le rasoir.

stockée permet approximativement une utilisation d’une semaine si le
rasoir est utilisé trois minutes par jour.

Après la charge
> Pendant le rasage: Les témoins s’allument puis s’éteignent l’un
après l’autre à plusieurs reprises.
> Après une recharge approximative d’une heure du rasoir, tous les
témoins indiquant le niveau de puissance et le témoin indiquant la
charge resteront allumés, pour indiquer que le rasoir est entièrement
chargé.

> Lorsque qu’il faut recharger le rasoir: Clignote.
> Après la recharge, assurez-vous de retirer la fiche de l’adaptateur
CA de la prise de courant.
> Pendant la charge: Clignote.
> Après la charge complète: Reste allumé.
* Lorsque vous débranchez l’adaptateur CA, ne tirez pas sur le cordon
car cela pourrait provoquer un mauvais fonctionnement. Assurez-vous
de tenir la fiche pour la retirer.
> Pendant le rasage: Clignote lors d’un rasage avec cordon et reste
éteint lors d’un rasage sans cordon.
REMARQUES: Avant de charger le rasoir, vérifiez si la fiche et la prise
de courant sont intacts afin d’éviter toute anomalie.
Pendant que le rasoir est en charge, on peut entendre un petit bruit
en continu et le boîtier ou l’adaptateur CA peuvent devenir légèrement
chauds. Il ne s’agit pas d’une anomalie.

COMMENT UTILISER LE RASOIR
AVEC UN ADAPTATEUR CA
> Dans un lieu humide tel qu’une salle de bain,
n’utilisez pas le rasoir avec une alimentation CA.
Check that the power switch is set at Vérifiez que l’interrupteur soit
bien sur arrêt («OFF»), insérez la fiche de l’adaptateur soigneuse-
ment dans la prise située sur la base du rasoir, puis brancher la
fiche de l’adaptateur dans la prise de courant. Ensuite, faites glisser
l’interrupteur sur marche («ON»).
> Lorsque vous utilisez le rasoir avec une alimentation
CA, n’utilisez pas de savon ou de mousse à raser.
Note:La puissance stockée dans la batterie/pile re-
chargeable diminue même lorsque le rasoir est utilisé avec une alimenta-
tion CA. Rechargez le rasoir une fois toutes les trois (3) semaines.
> Si le rasoir ne fonctionne pas après avoir placé l’interrupteur sur
«ON» immédiatement après avoir branché les fiches, la batterie/pile
rechargeable est alors complètement épuisée. Dans ce cas, placez
l’interrupteur sur «OF », ne touchez pas le rasoir pendant une
minute afin de le recharger, puis poussez l’interrupteur sur «ON» de
nouveau.
DURÉE DE VIE DE LA BATTERIE/PILE
La durée de vie de la batterie/pile rechargeable du rasoir est d’environ
4 ans si elle est rechargée une fois par semaine. Cependant, sa durée
de vie peut être plus courte si elle est rechargée de manière plus
fréquente, et varie également en fonction des conditions d’utilisation.

COMMENT L’UTILISER

4. Attachez soigneusement le cadre
de la grille externe au boîtier du
rasoir en faisant attention de ne pas
toucher la grille externe.
ENTRETIEN ET MAINTENANCE
Avant de nettoyer le rasoir, assurez-vous que l’adaptateur CA soit bien
détaché du rasoir.
Lavage sous l’eau
*Nettoyez la lame interne avec la
brosse au moins une fois tous les
trois (3) lavages.
1. Glissez l’interrupteur sur «OFF» et pressez les boutons d’éjection du
cadre de la grille externe en même temps afin de retirer le cadre de la
grille externe.

2. Glissez l’interrupteur sur «ON» et lavez les
lames avec de l’eau froide ou tiède. Après le
lavage, glissez l’interrupteur sur «OFF» et es-
suyez les lames avec une serviette ou quelque
chose du même type.

l’interrupteur sur «OFF» et de presser en même temps les deux bou-
tons d’éjection du cadre de la grille externe pour le retirer.
2. Poussez des deux côtés, avec les doigts, les deux boutons de
libération du bloc de la grille externe à l’intérieur du cadre de la grille
externe et retirez le bloc de la grille externe.
3. Placez le rasoir dans un lieu aéré afin de le
sécher parfaitement.

3. Nettoyez l’intérieur de la grille
externe, à l’intérieur du bloc de la
grille externe, la lame interne et
le boîtier du rasoir avec la brosse
accessoire.
4. Après le nettoyage, attachez le bloc de la grille externe bien au
cadre de la grille externe en prenant soin de ne pas toucher la grille
externe.
5. Tout d’abord, attachez la lame interne au vibreur. Puis, posez le
cadre de la grille externe soigneusement sur le boîtier du rasoir, en
vérifiant qu’il est bien placé sur le boîtier de l’appareil.
> Pour retirer la lame interne, sou-
levez-la tout droit vers le haut.
> Si la grille externe pour le mode FIN est relevée, poussez les deux
extrémités doucement afin de la remettre en place, puis, installez le
cadre de la grille externe.
> Ne touchez pas la partie coup-
ante de la lame interne car elle
possède des bords tranchants.

NOTE: Après le nettoyage du rasoir, appliquez de l’huile de nettoyage
(vendue séparément) sur la surface de la grille externe tous les trois
jours. En particulier, lorsque le rasoir n’est pas utilisé pendant un long
moment, assurez-vous de nettoyer la grille externe, la lame interne et
la lame tondeuse, et appliquez de l’huile de nettoyage sur la surface
de la grille externe.
RECYCLAGE DE LA BATTERIE/PILE Ni-Mh
(nickel-cadmium)
Ne démontez jamais le rasoir pour retirer la batterie/pile Ni-Mh sauf si
vous voulez jeter le rasoir.
La batterie/pile Ni-Mh qui alimente le rasoir est rechargeable. Par
conséquent, lorsque vous jetez le rasoir, retirez la batterie/pile Ni-Mh
du rasoir pour la recycler.
Remarque concernant le remplacement de la grille externe/
lame interne
Après avoir remplacé la grille externe ou la lame interne par une
nouvelle, référez-vous aux étapes 1 à 5 de la partie “Nettoyage avec la
brosse” pour le fixer correctement au boîtier du rasoir.
Comment retirer la batterie/pile Ni-Mh
> Allumez l’interrupteur et faites fonctionner le rasoir jusqu’à ce que
la lame interne s’arrête de bouger. Si le rasoir est démonté avant
que la charge électrique ne soit épuisée, il pourrait prendre feu ou
provoquer des brûlures.
> Pour les pièces de rechange, référez-vous à «PARTIES ACCES-
SOIRES (VENDUES SÉPAREMENT)»
> Suivez la procédure ci-dessous pour démonter le rasoir avec un
tournevis.

Procedimiento para recargar
1. Deslizar el interruptor a la posición de apagado (OFF) y colocar la

CÓMO USAR LA AFEITADORA CON EL
CONVERTIDOR DE CORRIENTE
Vea que el interruptor esté en posición de apagado (OFF), inserte bien
el enchufe del convertidor de corriente alterna en el receptáculo de
la parte inferior de la afeitadora, y luego, enchufe el convertidor a la
pared. Entonces puede deslizar el interruptor a la posición de prender
(ON).
> Cuando use la afeitadora con el convertidor de
corriente, no use jabón o espuma de afeitar.
Observación: La energía acumulada en la batería
recargable disminuye aún mientras se usa con el
convertidor de corriente alterna. Recargue la batería
una vez cada tres (3) semanas.
> Si la afeitadora no funciona al poner el interruptor en “ON” inme-
diatamente después de haber insertado los enchufes, quiere decir
que la batería está totalmente descargada. En ese caso, ponga el
interruptor en “OFF”, deje la afeitadora por un minuto para que se

VIDA ÚTIL DE LA BATERÍA
La vida útil de la batería recargable de la afeitadora es aproximada-
mente 4 años, si se la recarga una vez por semana. Si embargo, su
duración puede ser menor si se la recarga con mayor frecuencia, y
también depende de cómo se la usa.

Si una hora de recarga sólo proporciona 2 ó 3 afeitadas, la vida útil
de la batería está por terminar. En ese caso, póngase en contacto
con la tienda donde compró la afeitadora. Si no se usa la afeitadora
por más de 6 meses, las características de la batería se deterioran al
descargarse por sí sola. Por lo tanto, se recomienda que recargue la
batería por lo menos una vez cada 6 meses, aunque no esté utilizando
la afeitadora.
> Mientras se afeita, cuidar de no presionar con demasiada fuerza
la malla contra la piel (presión de referencia: más de 800 g). Con
tanta presión la malla exterior se desgastará más rápidamente y se
embotará o dañará.
> Para afeitarse zonas sensibles como el mentón, estire la piel con la
mano y aféitese hacia arriba. Para afeitarse la garganta, levante la

PARA RECICLAR LA BATERÍA Ni-Mh
Nunca desarme la afeitadora para sacar la batería Ni-Mh, excepto
cuando deseche la afeitadora.
Observaciones: Después de limpiar la afeitadora, aplicar aceite de
afeitadoras (se vende separadamente) a la superficie exterior de la
malla exterior cada 3 días. Especialmente cuando no se ha usado la
afeitadora por mucho tiempo, asegúrese de limpiar la malla exterior, la
cuchilla interior y la cuchilla de recorte, y aplique aceite de afeitadoras
a la superficie exterior de la malla.
La batería Ni-Mh de su afeitadora es reciclable. Por lo tanto, cuando
