The VM2141AU is an 8-out Audio Output Card
designed for use in a V-Matrix™ enclosure can
handle a wide array of signal formats and
connector types. When installed in a V-Matrix™
Basic Enclosure, these Audio Output cards enable
the connection of eight audio sources. For inputs,
the VM2142AU can be used with the VM2141AU 8-
in Audio Input Card. See the VM2141AU for more

The 8-input video cards provide built-in ground loop
isolation (GLI on Board™) through the use of
differential inputs. This is an extremely important
feature because it protects against hum bars and
other interference caused by ground loops, which
notoriously wreak havoc on large-scale matrix
systems. Both the input and output video cards
provide a bandwidth of 350 MHz @ –3dB, allowing
them to pass extremely high-resolution computer
video signals without signal degradation.
All input and output cards are “hot-swappable” with
finger adjustable lock-down screws and secure,
positive engagement card-edge connections.

would like to offer suggestions for the following:
Step 1. Slide the VM2142AU and the VM2141AU

into place. Secure the cards to the V-
Matrix™ by tightening the retainer screws
located on the top and bottom of each
cover plate.
·
Make sure that power is connected to the
enclosure and also check to see if the
VM2142AU is pushed in all the way.
·
If there is no sound, check the source and
make sure that it is working at an appropriate
volume level and all source connections are
correct.
Step 2. Connect audio cables from the audio
source to the input connector of the
VM2141AU.

equipment through an audio cable.
OPERATION
7
Make sure that the destination amplifier is
powered. Set the volume of the destination
amplifier to a reasonable level.
The VM2142AU will operate successfully as long
as the card is installed properly and other technical
specifications are followed.
Make sure that the source signal level is high
enough so that the destination amplifier does
not have to provide excessive amplification and
thereby distort the signal.
