Power Sources — This unit should be operated only from the
type of power source indicated on the marking label. If you are
not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your
appliance dealer or local power company. To operate unit on
battery power, or other sources, refer to the operating instructions.
Grounding or Polarization — This unit is provided with a
polarized alternating-current line plug (a plug having one blade
wider than the other). This plug will fit into the power outlet only
one way. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the
plug fully into the outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug should
still fail to fit, contact your electrician to replace your obsolete
outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.
Power-Cord Protection — Power-supply cords should be routed
so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items
placed upon or against them, paying particular attention to cords
at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit
from the product.

BACKUP FUNCTION

FONCTION D’ALIMENTATION
If the AC power supply is interrupted, the clock display goes off
and the alarm setting is cancelled. To back up the clock and
alarm setting, install a 6F22 battery in the battery compartment
on the bottom of the unit.
The backup function lasts about 80 days. Set the clock again if

Reset the unit by pressing RESET on the bottom with a thin rod
with the AC power cord connected to a wall outlet.
When the unit is reset, operation stops and power is turned off.
All the data you stored are lost, including the clock and alarm
settings and the stations you preset.

While sliding the latch, pull out the battery holder from the bottom
of the remote control. Place the supplied battery on the battery
holder with correct polarity and put the holder back into position.

1 Connect the AC power cord to a wall outlet.

To turn off the alarm
Press SNOOZE/DISPLAY for more than 3 seconds or shortly.
When SNOOZE/DISPLAY is pressed shortly, the alarm will come
on again after about 5 minutes.
If you press POWER 6 STANDBY/ON (POWER) during the
snooze mode, the power is turned off and the alarm is cancelled.

Para cancelar el ajuste de la alarma 1, presione una vez ALARM
1. Cuando está destellando el indicador de alarma, mantenga
presionado ALARM 1 durante más de 3 segundos.
Para cancelar el ajuste de la alarma 2, utilice el botón ALARM 2
de la misma forma.
Se apaga el indicador de alarma (1 ó 2), pero no se borra el
ajuste de tiempo de la alarma.

Pendant le clignotement de l’indicateur d'alarme, maintenez ALARM

Remarques
To cancel the alarm 1 setting, press ALARM 1 once. While the
alarm indicator is flashing, keep ALARM 1 pressed for more than
3 seconds.
To cancel the alarm 2 setting, use the ALARM 2 button in the

The alarm indicator (1 or 2) disappears, but the alarm time setting
will not be cleared.

• The radio and CD alarm automatically turns off after about 1
hour. The buzzer alarm turns off after about 5 minutes.

Sleep Timer
You can use the sleep timer to turn off the radio or to stop disc
playback automatically after the specified time (up to 90 minutes).
Operate during radio reception or disc playback.

Vous pouvez utiliser la minuterie d’arrêt différé pour couper la
radio ou arrêter la lecture d’un disque automatiquement après le
temps spécifié (90 minutes maximum).

1 Keep SLEEP pressed for more than 2 seconds.
SLEEP flashes and “90” appears in the display.
2 Press SLEEP repeatedly to select the desired sleep time.
Each time SLEEP is pressed, the time changes as follows:
→ 90 → 80 → 70 → 60 → 50 → 40 → 30 → 20 → 10 → 2 → OFF
1 Maintenez SLEEP pressé plus de 2 secondes.
