Th is is an error m essage th at m ay appear wh en Sleep
Man ager is creatin g th e h ibern ation file. Th ere are several
differen t reason s th at m ay cau se th is error.
On e reason is th at th e size of th e free disk space on you r
h ard disk is less th an th e requ ired size. For exam ple, if th e
on board m em ory is 32MB an d th e video m em ory is 2MB,
th e total free disk space requ ired will be arou n d 34MB. If
th e total free disk space is less th an th is, th e u ser h as to
free u p space on h is h ard disk.

An oth er possible reason is th at th e h ard disk h as en ou gh
free space, bu t th is free space exists as sm all fragm en ts.
Th e free disk space th at Sleep Man ager requ ires n eeds to be
con tigu ou s. To solve th is problem , u se tools su ch as Disk
Defragm en ter (Win dows) to com pact th ese free disk
spaces. Th en ru n Sleep Man ager again to create th e file.
On e oth er factor th at cau ses th e error is wh en disk
com pression u tilities are u sed. Sleep Man ager can work
with m ost com pression software. However, Sleep Man ager
can on ly create th e space on a h ost drive. A h ost drive
stores origin al file in form ation an d can n ot be com pressed.
Th e free space on th e h ost drive is u su ally very sm all, so th e
com pression software n eeds to be ru n again to en large th e
size of th e h ost (u n com pressed) drive for Sleep Man ager.

Minim ize
If you wan t to u se or take back th e reserved space, click on
th e Rem ove bu tton . Th is will disable th e h ibern ation
featu re. In stead, th e com pu ter will on ly be able to en ter
stan dby m ode.

bu tton . If th e En able in dicator on taskbar box is ch ecked,
Sleep Man ager will switch to th e backgrou n d by locatin g
