Combination Ballast and Lamp System Limited Warranty
Limited Warranty
Advance is pleased to offer this value-added warranty (“Warranty”), which provides an additional 90 days protection to
both the lamps and ballasts when installed as a system combining Advance Ballasts with lamps manufactured by GE
Lighting, Osram-Sylvania, Philips Lighting or Venture Lamp, subject to the following:
Terms and Conditions
1. Advance warrants the lamps to be free from defects in material and workmanship, and warrants its ballasts as provided
in Advance’s currently published ballast warranty, hereby made part of this Warranty.
2. Lamps must meet applicable ANSI standards and be otherwise covered under the lamp manufacturer’s published
lamp-ballast system warranty.
3. Lamps must be operated on ballasts indicated, within electrical values noted on ballast label, and with all lamp and
lighting equipment instructions and be operated within the normal specified operating range of environmental conditions
for the systems. Ballasts and lamps must be installed and operated in accordance with latest National Electric Code,
UL, and ANSI specifications. Ballasts or lamps operated in any system which has been subjected to abnormal stresses
as, but not limited to, excess temperatures or under or over voltage conditions, are excluded from coverage under this
Warranty.
4. The installation must be registered with Advance within thirty (30) days from date of completion. Advance’s PLUS 90
Protection® Warranty Registration Form must be used, completed per instructions and installation acknowledged by
Advance.
5. Refer to Advance’s currently published ballast warranty for the replacement of ballasts. Advance will replace in-warranty
failures by furnishing lamps in kind.
Limitations
1. Subject to all terms and conditions herein, Advance limits this Warranty to the warranty period as offered by the lamp
manufacturer’s published standard Lamp-Ballast System Warranty, plus an additional 90 days protection.
2. Advance expressly excludes and assumes no warranty responsibility, at any time, for catastrophic lamp failures, which
are generally covered by the lamp manufacturers.
3. Replacement of Advance ballasts with ballasts of other manufacturers will void this Warranty to the extent of said
replacement.
4. Advance will arrange for a service provider and coordinate ballast replacement (labor) at no cost to the user.
5. There will be no labor allowance for lamp replacement, unless specifically offered in the lamp manufacturer’s published
warranty.
6. Advance reserves the right to examine all failed ballasts and/or lamps and reserves the right to be the sole judge as to
whether any ballasts and/or lamps are defective and covered under this warranty.
7. Customer will, upon the request of Advance, assign lamp warranties to Advance and/or cooperate with Advance in any
reasonable manner in pursuing lamp warranty claims.
8. This Warranty shall be the sole remedy of the Customer and the sole liability of Advance to Customer. NO IMPLIED
WARRANTY OR MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS MADE OR IS TO BE
IMPLIED. Advance will not under any circumstances whether as a result of breach of contract, breach of warranty, tort,
strict liability or otherwise be liable for consequential, incidental, special or exemplary damages including, but not limited
to, loss of profits or revenues, loss of use of ballasts or any other goods or associated equipment or damages to any
associated equipment, cost of capital, cost of substitute products, facilities or services, down time costs, or claims of
claimant’s customers.
9. Refer to Advance’s Lamp Ballasts Limited Warranty for other terms and conditions and limitations not otherwise super-
seded in the foregoing ADVANCE PLUS 90 PROTECTION WARRANTY.
