Safety Considerations
Please read and follow all safety instrucꢀons provided below and on the monitor before connecꢀng the monitor to a power
source. Failure to comply with safety instrucꢀons may result in fire, electrical shock, or personal injury and may damage or
impair protecꢀon provided by the equipment. Please save all safety instrucꢀons.

This monitor is very heavy and should be moved and installed by at least two individuals. Do not aꢂempt to move or install the
monitor yourself, otherwise injury and/or damage may occur.
When moving the monitor, always hold the monitor firmly using the handles and side or boꢂom bezels. Do not hold the top
bezel.

When moving the monitor carton, do not ꢀlt or invert the carton. Always keep it in an upright orientaꢀon.
Disconnect all accessories and cables before moving the monitor.

Wash hands aſter handling the cables supplied with this monitor.
The monitor remote control, mouse and keyboard use baꢂeries. Make sure the baꢂeries’ polarity (+/-) is aligned correctly. Dis-
pose of used baꢂeries in accordance with local disposal laws.

Only use properly rated wall and stand mounꢀng hardware that meet this product’s specificaꢀons and follow the manufacturer
installaꢀon instrucꢀons. The warranty does not cover any damage caused by use of improperly rated mounꢀng hardware or from
improper installaꢀon.

Refer all service to qualified service personnel. Do not remove the cover or back. Servicing your own monitor can be dangerous
to you and will void the warranty.
Only use replacement parts specified by InFocus. Unauthorized subsꢀtuꢀons may result in fire, electrical shock or injury and may
void the warranty.
When mounꢀng the monitor to a wall, metric 8 (12mm) screws must be used. In addiꢀon, the mounꢀng interface should comply
with the UL1678 standard in North America. The mounꢀng means should be strong enough to bear the weight of the monitor
(approximately 114.2 lbs/51.8 kg without the stand).

Follow these instrucꢀons to help ensure image quality over the life of the monitor. Failure to follow these instrucꢀons may affect
the warranty.
• Lithium Baꢂery (in PC Box) Cauꢀon: There is a risk of explosion if the baꢂery is replaced by an incorrect
type. The baꢂery should only be replaced with an idenꢀcal or equivalent type of baꢂery as recommended
by the manufacturer. Dispose of used baꢂeries in accordance with local disposal laws.

Connecting to Other Devices
A full range of digital and analog video inputs and audio source devices can be connected to the connecꢀon panels on the back and
side of the monitor. Available jacks include: HDMI® In (2), VGA In (1), PC Control (1), Microphone In (1), Audio Out 3.5mm (1), Audio
In 3.5mm (1), Audio Out RCA (2 – R/L), RJ45 (2), USB-B (1) and USB-A (6).

Connect one end of the AC power cord to the AC In jack on the back of the monitor.
Connect the other end of the AC power cord to an AC outlet.
Press the power switch. (The LED on the front of the monitor turns on.)

Always unplug the AC power cord from the power outlet when you are not using your monitor for an extended period of ꢀme.
Turning the Monitor On/Off

Verify that the power cord is connected to a power outlet and that the power switch is ON.
Press the Power buꢂon on the remote or the right side of the monitor. (The LED on the front of the monitor turns off.)
NOTES:
If the monitor becomes locked and does not respond to normal power down procedures, the monitor can be powered down by
pressing and holding the PC box Power buꢂon (located on the back of the monitor) for 7-8 seconds.
By default, the monitor will ꢀme out at 10 minutes and go into system standby aſter 20 minutes of inacꢀvity. Power seꢁngs for the
monitor can be changed in Windows Control Panel> Hardware and Sound > Power Opꢀons.

Setting up the Wireless Mouse and Keyboard
NOTE: The wireless mouse and keyboard is not included as a standard accessory for some countries. For iniꢀal setup and/or configu-
raꢀon, it may be easier to use a mouse and keyboard. Any standard wired or wireless mouse or keyboard can be connected through
the monitor's USB ports.

Turn the mouse over and remove the baꢂery cover.
Remove the USB dongle from its holder in the baꢂery compartment of
the mouse.

Plug it into a free USB-A port on the Bezel Connector Panel of the
monitor. You may be asked to go online to find the necessary drivers. If
you are warned that the drivers have not been tested for compaꢀbility,
tap Conꢀnue installaꢀon to finish.

Insert two (2) AAA baꢂeries (not included) into the mouse by aligning
the + and – end of the baꢂeries as indicated and sliding them in place.
Replace the cover and switch the mouse ON using the slide switch next
to the baꢂery bay.

Turn the keyboard over and open the baꢂery cover.
Insert two (2) AAA baꢂeries (not included) into the keyboard, by align-
ing the + and – ends of the baꢂeries and sliding them in place.

Press the CONNECT buꢂon and hold it for one second to allow the keyboard to bind with the dongle.

Using the Remote
The remote uses two (2) AAA baꢂeries (not included). Install the baꢂeries by removing the cover from the remote’s back, aligning
the + and – ends of the baꢂeries, sliding them in place and replacing the cover.
To operate, point the remote at the monitor sensor at the boꢂom right-hand corner of the monitor. The range of opꢀmum operaꢀon
is about 26’ (8m) and within a horizontal and verꢀcal angle of 30 degrees.

Using the Keypad
The keypad, located on the leſt-hand side of the monitor, has the following buꢂons:
Power buꢀon: Switches the power on or puts the monitor into Standby.
OK/SOURCE buꢀon: Turns the Source menu on allowing the user to change sources. Saves chang-
es/selecꢀons if the OSD menu is on.

OSD (On-Screen Display) Menu System
The OSD provides the user the ability to control the monitor display. To access the OSD, press the Menu buꢂon on the remote or the
keypad located on the leſt-hand side of the monitor.

Use the up and down arrows on the remote or keypad to scroll through the menu opꢀons and press OK to enter the highlighted
menu. Use the up and down arrows and OK buꢂon to select the item you would like to adjust. Leſt and right arrow buꢂons are used
to make adjustments.
When your adjustments are complete, press the Back buꢂon to go to a different menu or press the Menu buꢂon to exit the OSD
menu enꢀrely.

Wide Menu
The monitor can display images in five different modes: Wide, Zoom, Panoramic, Normal, and Stretch. Each mode displays the picture
differently. Use the leſt and right arrows to highlight the desired display mode and press OK.

Normal: preserves the content’s original aspect raꢀo. Since the 4:3 aspect raꢀo is not large enough to fill the monitor’s screen, black
bars are added to the leſt and right of the display image.
Wide: stretches a 4:3 aspect raꢀo picture to the edges of the screen. Since the picture is being stretched, the display image may
appear distorted. If the program is already formaꢂed for widescreen viewing (1.85:1 or 2.35:1), then the image will be leꢂerboxed
(black bars will appear on the top and boꢂom of the displayed image).
Zoom: expands images with black bars to fit the screen.
Panoramic: expands the display image to fill the screen. Images may appear wider than intended. If you are watching widescreen
(1.85:1 or 2.35:1) content, the image will be leꢂerboxed (black bars will appear on the top and boꢂom of the displayed image). This
opꢀon is only available when the monitor is displaying a 480i/480p source.
Stretch: expands the display image to fill the screen. Images may appear wider than intended. If you are watching widescreen (1.85:1
or 2.35:1) content, the image will be leꢂerboxed (black bars will appear on the top and boꢂom of the displayed image). This opꢀon is
only available when the monitor is displaying a 720p/1080i/1080p source.

CC (Closed Captioning) Menu
If you are watching a program that is being broadcast with closed capꢀons, you can use this menu to display and change the look of
the closed capꢀoning. Use the up and down arrows to highlight the opꢀon you wish to change, then use the leſt and right arrow but-
tons to make your selecꢀons, and press OK.

less headphones) is used near the monitor. Move the infrared communicaꢀon equip-
ment away from the monitor to eliminate the noise.

Limited Warranty
InFocus Limited Warranty For InFocus Branded Hardware Products Only
LIMITED WARRANTY. InFocus’s warranty obligaꢀons for the hardware products are limited to the terms set forth herein. InFocus war-
rants the InFocus-branded hardware products against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period outlined in
the Limited Warranty Periods secꢀon below from the date of retail purchase by the original end-user purchaser (“Warranty Period”).
The Warranty Period starts on the date of purchase. Your dated sales or delivery receipt, showing the date of purchase of the product,
is your proof of the purchase date. You may be required to provide proof of purchase and proof that the product was purchased new as
a condiꢀon of receiving warranty service. If a hardware defect arises and a valid claim is received within the Warranty Period, at its op-
ꢀon and to the extent permiꢂed by law, InFocus will either (1) repair the hardware defect at no charge, using new parts or refurbished
parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability, (2) exchange the product with a product that is new or refurbished
that is equivalent to new in performance and reliability and is at least funcꢀonally equivalent to the original product, or (3) refund
the purchase price of the product. InFocus may request that you replace defecꢀve parts with customer-installable new or refurbished
parts that InFocus provides in fulfillment of its warranty obligaꢀon (“Customer Self Repair”). A replacement product or part, including
a Customer Self Repair part that has been installed in accordance with instrucꢀons provided by InFocus, assumes the remaining war-
ranty of the original product or ninety (90) days from the date of replacement or repair, whichever provides longer coverage. When a
product or part is exchanged, any replacement item becomes your property and the replaced item becomes InFocus’s property. Parts
provided by InFocus in fulfillment of its warranty obligaꢀon must be used in products for which warranty service is claimed. When a
refund is given, the product for which the refund is provided must be returned to InFocus and becomes InFocus’s property. This is your
exclusive remedy for defecꢀve products.

by InFocus, its worldwide subsidiaries, authorized resellers or country distributors, that can be idenꢀfied by the “InFocus” trademark,
trade name, or logo affixed to it, and to required firmware. The Limited Warranty does not apply to any non-InFocus hardware products
or peripherals external to the InFocus-branded hardware products (including but not limited to external storage subsystems, displays,

ware. Manufacturers, suppliers, or publishers of products, soſtware or peripherals, other than InFocus, may provide their own warran-

InFocus does not warrant that the operaꢀon of the products will be uninterrupted or error-free. InFocus is not responsible for damage

INFOCUS IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE TO OR LOSS OF ANY PROGRAMS, DATA, OR REMOVABLE STORAGE MEDIA. INFOCUS IS

Products external to the system processor (CPU) box, such as external storage subsystems, printers and other peripherals, are
covered by the applicable warranty for those products or opꢀons.
An effecꢀve repair does not necessarily require the replacement of a defecꢀve part. For example, cleaning the heads of a floppy
drive or updaꢀng revision levels of ROM BIOS on a PCA board are acꢀviꢀes that in many instances deliver an effecꢀve repair.
BIOS/Firmware upgrades are not covered under the Limited Warranty. Firmware that is an integral part of the opꢀon hardware
board is not automaꢀcally upgraded when new versions of firmware are released.
It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that their soſtware is compaꢀble with the latest BIOS/firmware revision.
This Limited Warranty does not apply: (a) to consumable or expendable parts, such as baꢂeries, or protecꢀve coaꢀngs designed
to diminish over ꢀme unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; (b) to cartons, carrying cases, ship-
ping cases, external cabinets, accessories used in connecꢀon with the product; (c) to cosmeꢀc damage, including but not limited to
scratches, dents, and broken plasꢀc on ports; (d) to damage caused by use with non-InFocus products; (e) to damage caused by ac-
cident, abuse, misuse, improper venꢀlaꢀon, smoke exposure, contaminaꢀon, improper or inadequate maintenance, cleaning or cali-
braꢀon, liquid contact, unusual physical or electrical stress and/or power surges, virus infecꢀon, fire, earthquake, disaster, lightning
or other external causes; (f) to damage caused by operaꢀng the product outside the permiꢂed or intended uses or usage parameters
described by InFocus (including burned monitor screens and incorrect input voltage); (g) to damage caused by service (including
upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone other than a representaꢀve of InFocus or an InFocus Authorized Service Provider
(“ASP”) or your own installaꢀon of customer-installable parts as instructed by InFocus; (h) to a product or part that has been modified
to alter funcꢀonality or capability without the wriꢂen permission of InFocus (including use of an unauthorized mount); (i) to defects
caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the product; (j) to failure to follow maintenance procedures
as outlined in the product user documentaꢀon including where a schedule is specified for regular cleaning of certain parts (based on
usage and environment); (k) to loss or damage in transit; or (l) if the product is not used under normal operaꢀng condiꢀons which
are defined as use not in excess of 16 hours conꢀnuously per day with a minimum 8 hour period of conꢀnuous rest in the powered
off state; or (m) if any InFocus serial number has been removed or defaced. In addiꢀon, LCD burn-in as a result of excessive display
of staꢀc images on the product is not covered under the terms of this Limited Warranty.
Important: Do not open the hardware products unless otherwise directed by InFocus for the purposes of a Customer Self Repair
(CSR). Opening the hardware products may cause damage that is not covered by this Limited Warranty. Only InFocus or an ASP
should perform service on the hardware products.
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS WARRANTY AND THE REMEDIES SET FORTH ABOVE ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL
OTHER WARRANTIES, REMEDIES AND CONDITIONS, WHETHER ORAL, WRITTEN, STATUTORY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. AS PERMITTED

LIMITATION ON BRINGING ACTION: NO ACTION, REGARDLESS OF FORM, ARISING OUT OF THE AGREEMENT TO PURCHASE THE

MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS THAT VARY BY COUNTRY, STATE OR PROVINCE. INFOCUS, THE WARRANTOR UNDER THIS LIMITED
WARRANTY, IS IDENTIFIED AT THE END OF THIS DOCUMENT.
EXTENDED WARRANTIES. InFocus extended product warranꢀes are available for an addiꢀonal charge. For further informaꢀon on
InFocus extended product warranꢀes, please contact InFocus or your product reseller.
OBTAINING WARRANTY SERVICE. Please access and review the online help resources located at www.infocus.com/support before
seeking warranty service. If the product is sꢀll not funcꢀoning properly aſter making use of these resources, please contact InFocus
Technical Support or, if applicable, an ASP using the informaꢀon provided below. When contacꢀng InFocus via telephone, other charges
may apply depending on your locaꢀon. When calling, InFocus Technical Support or an ASP will help determine whether your product
requires service and, if it does, will inform you how InFocus will provide it. You must assist in diagnosing issues with your product and
follow InFocus’s warranty processes. InFocus may restrict service to the country where InFocus or its Authorized Distributors originally
sold the hardware product. InFocus will provide warranty service either (i) at an ASP locaꢀon, where service is performed at the loca-
ꢀon, or the ASP may send the product to an InFocus repair service locaꢀon for service, (ii) by sending you prepaid way bills (and if you
no longer have the original packaging, InFocus may send you packaging material at your cost) to enable you to ship the product to
an InFocus repair service locaꢀon, or (iii) by sending you customer-installable new or refurbished replacement parts to enable you to
conduct Customer Self Repair, or (iv) by exchanging the product for a new or refurbished replacement.
Customer Self Repair
InFocus products are designed with many Customer Self Repair (CSR) parts to minimize repair ꢀme and allow for greater flexibility in
performing defecꢀve parts replacement. If during the diagnosis period, InFocus idenꢀfies that the repair can be accomplished by the
use of a CSR part, InFocus will ship that part directly to you for replacement. There are two categories of CSR parts:

Parts for which customer self repair is mandatory. If you request InFocus to replace these parts, you will be charged for the travel
and labor costs of this service.
•
Parts for which customer self repair is opꢀonal. These parts are also designed for customer self repair. If, however, you require
that InFocus replace them for you, this may be done at no addiꢀonal charge under the type of warranty service designated for
your product.
Based on availability and where geography permits, InFocus will aꢂempt to ship CSR parts out the next business day. Customer re-
ceipt will vary based upon the actual part, customer locaꢀon and shipping method. Next day, same-day or four-hour delivery may be
offered at an addiꢀonal charge where geography permits. If assistance is required, you can call the InFocus Technical Support Center
and a technician will help you over the phone. InFocus specifies in the materials shipped with a replacement CSR part whether a

defecꢀve part must be returned to InFocus. In cases where it is required to return the defecꢀve part to InFocus, you must ship the
defecꢀve part back to InFocus within a defined period of ꢀme, normally five (5) business days, and clearly display the Return Material
Authorizaꢀon (RMA#) on the outside of the shipping carton or a similar package affording an equal degree of protecꢀon. The defec-
ꢀve part must be returned with the associated documentaꢀon in the provided shipping material. Failure to return the defecꢀve part
may result in InFocus charging you for the replacement. With a Customer Self Repair, InFocus will pay all shipping and part return
costs and determine the courier/carrier to be used.
InFocus may uꢀlize a doorstep swap process, which involves an InFocus delivery person delivering the replacement product or CSR
part to the Customer and picking up the defecꢀve product or part at the ꢀme of delivery for return to InFocus. Upon receipt of the
replacement product or part, the original product or part becomes the property of InFocus and you agree to follow instrucꢀons,
including arranging the return of original product or part to InFocus in a ꢀmely manner. When providing a product exchange or
Customer Self Repair (CSR) part requiring the return of the original product or part, InFocus may require a credit card authorizaꢀon
as security for the retail price of the replacement product or part and applicable shipping costs. When returning product to InFocus,
a Return Material Authorizaꢀon Number (RMA #) is required and must be clearly displayed on the outside of the shipping carton or a
similar package affording an equal degree of protecꢀon. Service opꢀons, parts availability and response ꢀmes may vary according to
the country in which service is requested. Service opꢀons are subject to change at any ꢀme. You may be responsible for shipping and
handling charges if the product cannot be serviced in the country in which service is requested. If you seek service in a country that
is not the country of original purchase, you will comply with all applicable import and export laws and regulaꢀons and be responsible
for all custom duꢀes, V.A.T. and other associated taxes and charges. Where internaꢀonal service is available, InFocus may repair or
exchange defecꢀve products and parts with comparable products and parts that comply with local standards. In accordance with
applicable law, InFocus may require that you furnish proof of purchase details and/or comply with registraꢀon requirements before
receiving warranty service. Resources with more details on this and other maꢂers on obtaining warranty service are described below.

BACKUP. If your product is capable of storing soſtware programs, data and other informaꢀon, you should protect its contents against
possible operaꢀonal failures. Before you deliver your product for warranty service it is your responsibility to keep a separate backup
copy of the contents, remove all personal informaꢀon and data that you want to protect and disable any security passwords. THE
CONTENTS OF YOUR PRODUCT WILL BE DELETED AND THE STORAGE MEDIA REFORMATTED IN THE COURSE OF WARRANTY SERVICE.
Your product or a replacement product will be returned to you as your product was configured when originally purchased, subject
to applicable updates. InFocus may install system soſtware updates as part of warranty service that will prevent the hardware from
reverꢀng to an earlier version of the system soſtware. Third party applicaꢀons installed on the hardware may not be compaꢀble or
work with the hardware as a result of the system soſtware update. You will be responsible for reinstalling all other soſtware pro-
grams, data and passwords. Recovery and reinstallaꢀon of soſtware programs and user data are not covered under this Limited War-
ranty.
