IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS  
Read all of the instructions before using this appliance. When using this appliance, always exercise  
basic safety precautions, including the following:  
1) Save these instructions- The safety and operation instructions should be retained for future  
reference.  
2) All warnings on the appliance and in the operating instructions should be followed.  
3) Cleaning- Unplug TV from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol  
cleaners.  
Use only a damp cloth for cleaning.  
Exceptions: Some products are designed for uninterrupted service, eg. Cable TV converters,  
unplugging such accessories may result in loss of authorization codes. In such cases, please follow  
instructions for unplugging such devices as provided by the accessories manufacturer.  
4)Attachments-Do not use attachments not recommended by the TV manufacturer as they may cause  
hazards.  
5) Water and moisture-Do not place this TV near water, for example, near a bathtub, wash bowl,  
kitchen sink, or laundry tub, in a wet basement, or near a swimming pool.  
6)Accessories - Do not place this TV on an unstable cart, stand, tripod, bracket or table. The TV may  
fall causing serious injury to someone, and serious damage to the appliance. Use only with a cart,  
stand, tripod, bracket, or table recommended by the manufacturer`s, or sold with the TV. Any  
mounting of the appliance should follow the manufacturer`s instructions and should use a  
mounting accessory recommended by the manufacturer. An appliance and cart combination should  
be moved with care. Quick stops, excessive force, and uneven surface may cause the appliance and  
Cart combination to overturn.  
7) Ventilation - Slots and openings in the cabinet and the back or bottom are provided for ventilation  
and to ensure overheating. These openings must not be locked in an built in installation such a  
bookcase or rack unless proper ventilation is provided or the manufacturer instructions have been  
adhered to.  
8)Power sources - This TV should be operated only from the type of power sources indicated on the  
electrical nameplate. If you are not sure of the type of the power supply to your home, consult your  
appliance dealer or local power company. For TV`s intended to operate from battery power or other  
source, refer to the operation instructions.  
9)Grounding or polarization - This TV is equipped with a polarized alternating current line plug (a  
plug having one blade wider than the other is). This plug will fit into the power outlet only one way.  
This is safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, try reversing the plug. If  
the plug should still fail to fit, contact your electrician to replace your outlet. Don`t defeat the safety  
purpose of the polarized plug.  
10)Power cord protection - Power supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be  
walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them, paying particular attention to cords or  
Plugs, convenience receptacle, and the point where they exit from the appliance.  
11) Out antenna grounding - If an outside  
antenna or cable system is grounded so as to  
provide some protection against voltage surges  
and built up static charges. Article 810 of the  
National Electrical Code, ANSI/NEPA NO.70,  
provided information with respect to proper  
grounding of the mast and supporting structure,  
grounding of the lead in wire to antenna  
discharge unit, size of grounding conductors,  
location of antenna discharge unit, connection  
to grounding electrodes, and requirement for  
the grounding electrode. (Fig. A)

12)Lighting precaution - For added protection for this TV receiver duringa lighting stormor when it  
is left unattendedfor long period of time, unplugit from thewall outlet anddisconnect the  
antenna or cablesystem. This willprevent damage tothe TV dueto lighting and power line surges.  
13)Object and liquid entry - Neverpush objects ofany kind intothis TV throughopenings as they  
May touch dangerousvoltage point or short out partsthat could resultin a fireor electric shock.  
Avoid spilling liquidof any kindon the TV.  
14)Servicing - Do not attempt to service the TVby yourself, as opening or removing covers may  
expose you todangerous voltage orother hazards. Refer all servicingto qualified service  
personnel.  
15)Damage Requiring Service - Unplugthis TV fromthe wall outletand refer servicingto qualified  
service personnel underthe following conditions:  
a. When thepower supply cordor plug isdamaged or frayed.  
b. If liquidhas been spilled, or objects havebeen fallen intothe TV.  
c. If theTV has beenexposed to rainor water.  
d. If theTV does notoperate normally byfollowing the operation instructions. Adjust onlythose  
controls that arecovered by theoperation instructions, asimproper adjustment ofother control  
may result indamage and willoften require extensivework by aqualified technician torestore the  
TV to itsnormal operation.  
e. If theTV has beendropped or damaged in any way.  
f. When the TV exhibitsa distinct changein performance; thisindicates a needfor service.  
16) Replacement parts - Whenreplacement parts arequired, be surethe service technicianuses  
replacement parts specifiedby the manufacturerthat the samecharacteristic as theoriginal part.

17) Safety check- Upon completion of any serviceof repairs tothis TV, ask theservice technician to

registers, stoves, orother products (Includingamplifiers) that produceheat.  
19) Modifications - Any changes ormodifications not expresslyapproved by theFederal  
Comunications.  
20)Clean only with a dry cloth.  
21)Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer'sinstructions.  
22)Do not install near any hearsources such asradiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus  
(including amplifiers) thatproduce heat.  
23)Do not defeat the safety purposesof the polarizedor grounding typeplug. A polarized plug has  
two blades withone wider than the other. A grounding type plug hastwo blades anda third  
grounding prong. The wide bladeor the third prong is providedfor your safety. When the provided  
plug does not fit into youroutlet, consult anelectrician for replacementof the obsolete outlet.  
24)Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularlyat plugs, convenience  
receptacles, and thepoint where theyexit from theapparatus.  
25)Only use theattachments/accessories specified bythe manufacturer.  
26)Refer all servicing to qualifiedservice personnel. Servicingis required whenthe apparatus has  
been damaged inany way, such aspower supply cordor plug isdamaged, liquid hasbeen spilled  
or objects havefallen into theapparatus, the apparatushas been exposedto rain or moisture, does  
not operate normally, or has been dropped.

Brightness: By increasingthe level, itwill add more light to dark parts of thepicture and by  
decreasing the level,itwill add more dark to light parts of thepicture.  
Color: By increasingthe level. It will adjust thelow and the high level of the picture.  
Sharpness: By increasingthe level, itwill show cleanerand clearer imagesand by decreasing  
the level, itwill make picturesmoother.  
Hue: You can adjustthe tint ofthe picture bygoing into picture set up menu. By decreasing the  
level, it willgive red tintto skin color and by increasingthe color it will give greentint to  
skin color.  
Color Temp : Bypressing the VOL(+/-) buttons to select the threesetting A)Neutral, B)Warm,  
C)Cool.

Ch. Switch: Thisfeature lets youstore your favoritechannel. Once youstore the

to the set channel. This featureis used withthe Exchange feature. Press

Captioning helps thehearing impaired withthe broadcast program, as well ashelping  
children learn howto read. A built in decoderdisplays the audioportion of aprogram  
as text onthe screen whenthis option isselected.  
OFF: When OFF is displayedon TV meansC.Caption is turnedoff.  
CC1: When CC1displayson TV meansC.Caption is turnedon.  
CC2 to CC4:For other modes of videorelated broadcast information.  
T1: For program guide andother information displayedby broadcasters.

Note: The Auto Search function willscan the channelson the selectedantenna  
input. If theTV is connectedto cable, pleaseselect Cable underAntenna.  
Calendar:  
Your TV has beendesigned with acalendar. By pressing MENUbutton ,and then  
pressing VOL-/+ button it willbring you toCalendar. You will see thefollowing  
display on TVscreen.

PARENT LOCK OFF means the lock function is turned off . If the PARENT LOCK  
is in "OFF" mode then V-CHIP function will not be active to accept the V-CHIP  
signal.  
PARENT LOCK ON means the lock function is turned on. If the lock is in the "ON"  
mode then V-CHIP function is activated to accept the V-CHIP signal.  
Password  
The "Default Password" preset by the manufacturer is "0000" . If you want to change  
the preset password to your own password, just choose any four digits that can be  
easily remembered and set. Once you set password for a particular channel, that  
channel will be blocked. This channel can only be accessed with the password.  
LOCK Menu  
AV LOCK:When it is set ON,you can not use the AV.  
PROGRAM LOCK:When it is set ON,the current channel is locked,you can not see  
the program of this channel.

The "V-Chip Technology" allow you to use U.S. And Canada Movies andTV  
PROGRAMS Guide ratingsto block certain types of TVprograms and movies.  
Tounderstand clearly aboutTV programs ratingcodes, read the following list:  
U.S. TV Program Ratings  
NR: Not Rated-this means thatprograms are not rated or rating does not apply.  
TV-Y:For all children-this type of ratedprograms are designedfor a veryyoung audience,  
including children fromages 2-6.  
TV-Y7:Directed for olderchildren - thistype of ratedprograms may includecomedic violence  
of mild physical, or may frightenchildren under theage of 7.  
TV-G:General Audience-this typeof rated programscontains little or no violence, no strong  
language, and littleor no sexualdialogue and situations.  
TV-PG:ParentalGuidance Suggested-this typeof rated programsmay contain limitedviolence,
