Quick Start
1. Insert the legs of the metal stand into the holes on the bottom of the base,
push until they snap into place.
2. Connect the telephone line cord into the TEL LINE jack on the
back of the base and the other end into a modular jack.
3. Connect the DC connector into
the jack on the back of the base
and the AC power adaptor into
an electrical outlet. Once power
is activated, frame will display
sample slideshow.
4. Connect the handset battery.
5. Insert a compatible memory card into the slot on the side of frame.
6. Press the menu/ok button to begin programming.

Introduction
CAUTION: When using telephone equipment, there are basic
safety instructions that should always be followed. Refer to the
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS provided with this product
and save them for future reference.
IMPORTANT: Because cordless phones operate on electricity, you
should have at least one phone in your home that isn’t cordless, in
case the power in your home goes out.

Telephone Jack Requirements
To use this phone, you need an RJ11C type modular telephone
jack, which might look like the one pictured here, installed in
your home. If you don’t have a modular jack, call your local
phone company to find out how to get one installed.

Digital Security System
Your cordless phone uses a digital security system to protect against false ringing,
unauthorized access, and charges to your phone line.
INSTALLATION NOTE: Some cordless telephones operate at frequencies that may
cause or receive interference with nearby TVs, microwave ovens, and VCRs. To
minimize or prevent such interference, the base of the cordless telephone should
not be placed near or on top of a TV, microwave ovens, or VCR. If such interference
continues, move the cordless telephone farther away from these appliances.
Certain other communications devices may also use the 1.9 GHz frequency
for communication, and, if not properly set, these devices may interfere
with each other and/or your new telephone. If you are concerned with
interference, please refer to the owner’s manual for these devices on how
to properly set channels to avoid interference. Typical devices that may
use the 1.9 GHz frequency for communication include wireless audio/video
senders, wireless computer networks, multi-handset cordless telephone
systems, and some long-range cordless telephone systems.

Installing the Phone
Installing the Handset Battery
NOTE: You must connect the handset battery before use.
CAUTION: To reduce the risk of fire or personal injury, use
only the Thomson Inc. approved Nickel-metal Hydride (Ni-MH)
battery model 5-2734, that is compatible with this unit.
1. Locate the battery which is packaged inside a plastic bag and is separate from
the handset.
ꢀ. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the handset.
ꢁ. Plug the battery pack cord into the jack inside the compartment.
NOTE: To ensure proper battery installation, the connector is keyed
and can be inserted only one way.
4. Insert the battery pack.
5. Close the battery compartment by placing the handset back cover slightly higher
than the handset, then slide the cover down into position.

Installing the Base/Photo Frame
1. Insert the legs of the metal stand into the holes on the bottom of the base, push
until they snap into place.
ꢀ. Choose an area near an electrical outlet and a telephone wall jack (RJ11C), and
place your cordless telephone on a level surface, such as a desktop or tabletop, or
you may mount it on the wall.
ꢁ. Connect one end of the telephone line cord into the TEL LINE jack on the back of
the base and the other end into a modular jack.
4. Connect the AC power adaptor into the electrical outlet and the DC connector into
the jack on the back of the base.
CAUTION: To reduce risk of personal injury, fire, or damage
use only the 5-2833 power adaptor listed in the user’s guide.
This power adaptor is intended to be correctly orientated in a
vertical or floor mount position.
5. Place the handset in the base cradle. The charge indicator illuminates verifying
the battery is charging.
Allow the phone to charge for 14 hours prior to first use. If you don’t properly
charge the phone, battery performance is compromised.

Changing the Photo Frame
Detaching the Photo Frame;
Push on the tabs gently until they
pop loose.

and gently snap onto the base.
Wall Mounting
NOTE: Remove the wire stand, if attached, by pressing on the tabs
and sliding each leg out individually.
1. Connect the AC power adaptor into the electrical outlet and the DC connector into
the jack on the back of the base.
ꢀ. Connect one end of the telephone line cord into the jack on the back of the base,
feed the line cord through the groove, then connect the the other end into the
modular telephone jack.
ꢁ. Slip the mounting holes (on the back of the base) over the wall plate posts and
firmly slide the unit down into place.

Programming the Photo Frame
Specifications:
The Photo Frame is compatible with SD and XD memory cards, or Sony memory sticks
(Sony MS compatible ONLY with an SD adaptor), JPEG Image file formats and has an
Internal Memory capacity of ꢁꢀMB (approx. 100 photos at maximum of ꢀM/photo).
Frame Setup
A menu structure allows access to all of the built-in features. You may program
the following items in the main menu: Add Photos to Internal Memory, Picture-
Caller ID Setup, Delete Photos from Internal Memory, Frame Preferences and
Reset All Settings.
NOTE: During programming, all handsets must be OFF (not in talk
mode).
NOTE: Press the exit button repeatedly to return to an upper
level menu or to return to the photo screen. After 60 seconds of
inactivity, the frame will automatically exit programming mode
and return to the photo screen without saving any changes.
NOTE: The handset cannot access nor navigate the Frame Setup
menu.
NOTE: If photo display "freezes" during programming, wait for
several minutes to allow for reset. If reset does not happen after
two minutes, disconnect power to reboot.
Adding Photos to Internal Memory
This option allows you to view thumbnails of photos and folders, and navigate the file
structure of photos that are on an inserted memory card. You can also add photos
from the memory card to the phone’s memory. (refer to your camera instructions on
how to properly format and transfer photos.)
NOTE: The photo frame is shipped with 4 default photos that
will activate the slide show. After the first photo is added from a
memory card the default photos are deactivated and only the new
photo(s) stored to internal memory can be accessed.
1. Insert a loaded memory card into the slot on the side of the base, behind the frame.
ꢀ. Press the menu/ok button to go to the main menu.
ꢁ. Use the 5or 6button to scroll to Add Photos to Internal Memory.
4. Press the menu/ok button to confirm, the contents of the root directory are displayed.

NOTE: If no memory card is detected, the screen displays No
memory card is available. Check memory card installation, scroll to
Retry or Cancel, and press the menu/ok button again.
5. Press the menu/ok button.
You may now select an entire folder or individual photos to add to the internal
memory.
To select an entire folder:
1. Use the navigational buttons to position the green box around the desired folder.
ꢀ. Press the menu/ok button. The screen displays What would you like to do?,
along with the following options;
Open this folder - displays contents of folder for viewing
(you may also make individual photo selections from here)
Add this folder to internal memory - adds entire contents to internal memory
Cancel - returns to the root directory
ꢁ. Use the navigational buttons to scroll to desired option
4. Press the menu/ok button.
Open this folder - after viewing thumbnails, press the exit button to return to
main menu
OR
select individual photos (reference section; To select a photo)
Add this folder to internal memory - press the exit button to return to main
menu
Cancel - press the exit button to return to main menu
To select a photo:
1. Use the navigational buttons to scroll to position the green box around the
desired photo.
ꢀ. Press the menu/ok button. The screen displays Reading card, do not remove and
a check appears in the lower corner of the photo thumbnail. Repeat as necessary
to select desired photos.
ꢁ. Press the exit button twice to return to photo screen.
NOTE: To cancel folder or photo upload, press the exit button.
However, the photos already copied to the internal memory before
pressing exit, will remain.

NOTE: If internal memory is full, the screen displays Internal
Memory Full. File Copy Error. Press the exit button to return to main
menu. You will need to delete some pictures or folders in order to
load more pictures.
Picture-Caller ID Setup
You can set up a link so that a caller’s photo appears when you receive a call from
them. The links can be edited or deleted.
1. Make sure your phone is OFF (not in talk mode).
ꢀ. Press the menu/ok button to go to the main menu.
ꢁ. Use the 5or 6button to scroll to Picture-Caller ID Setup.
4. Press the menu/ok button to confirm and select from the following items:
Add new Picture-Caller ID Link, Edit existing Picture-Caller ID Link,
and Delete existing Picture-Caller ID Link.
Add New Picture Caller ID Link (PCIDL)
From the Picture-Caller ID Setup menu:
1. Use the 5or 6button to scroll to Add new Picture-Caller ID Link.
ꢀ. Press the menu/ok button to confirm and select from the following items:
Use CID Records or Enter Caller’s Info.
Use Caller ID Records
From the Add new Picture-Caller ID Link menu:
1. Use the 5or 6button to scroll to Use CID Records.
ꢀ. Press the menu/ok button to select.
ꢁ. Use the 5or 6button to scroll to the CID you wish to add.
NOTE: The Use CID Records screen DOES NOT display associated
PCIDL's. Review existing PCIDL's before adding possible duplicates.
4. Press the menu/ok button to select.
5. Use the navigational buttons to position the green box around the desired field.
6. Press the menu/ok button to enter.
to input Name:
• Press the 4button for letter A
• Press and hold the 5or 6button to scroll through the uppercase alphabet
(A-Z), lowercase alphabet (a-z), numbers (0-9), and special characters
(<space> . , ? ! + - : ’ ” # * @ \ / _ ( ) = § ).

• Press the 4button to move the flashing cursor to the right.
• Press the 3button to delete a digit.
• Press the menu/ok button to save.
to input Linked Photo:
• Use the navigational buttons to select the desired photo or folder (selecting
a folder will enable all photos in folder to cycle for the Caller ID instead of just
one photo)
• Press the menu/ok button to select. The screen displays Are you sure? No
Yes. Select Yes to save or No to return to photo selection,
to edit Telephone Number:
• Press the 3button to delete digits.
• Use the 5or 6button to re-enter number.
7. Use the navigational buttons to highlight Save & Exit.
8. Press the menu/ok button to save and return to Use CID Records menu.
NOTE: The Use CID Records screen DOES NOT display associated
PCIDL's. Review existing PCIDL's before adding possible duplicates.
9. Press the exit button repeatedly to return to the photo screen.
Note: If internal memory is too full to store any more of photos to
CID links, then when user selects Picture-Caller ID Setup, an alert
panel appears: Phone memory is full. Delete some pictures or
folders to free up some space. Would you like to do that now? Yes
No. Selecting No exits to the Frame Setup Menu with Picture-Caller
ID Setup highlighted; Selecting Yes goes to the Delete Photos from
Interal Memory screen.
Enter Caller's Information
From the Add new Picture-Caller ID Link menu:
1. Use the 5or 6button to scroll to Enter Caller's Info.
ꢀ. Press the menu/ok button to select.
ꢁ. Repeat Steps 5-9 in the Use CID Records Section to enter information.

Edit Existing Picture Caller ID Link (PCIDL)
If you’ve already set up a PCIDL, you can edit the name, number, or photo link.
From the Picture-Caller ID Setup menu:
1. Use the 5or 6button to scroll to Edit existing Picture-Caller ID Link.
ꢀ. Press the menu/ok button to confirm.
ꢁ. Use the 5or 6button to scroll to the PCIDL you wish to edit.
4. Press the menu/ok button to select. Make any edits necessary.
5. Use the navigational buttons to scroll to Save & Exit.
6. Press the menu/ok button to save changes.
7. Press the exit button repeatedly to return to the photo screen.
Delete Existing Picture Caller ID Link (PCIDL)
This option allows you to erase a PCIDL that you no longer need.
From the Picture-Caller ID Setup menu:
1. Use the 5or 6button to scroll to Delete existing Picture-Caller ID Link.
ꢀ. Press the menu/ok button to confirm.
ꢁ. Use the 5or 6button to scroll to the PCIDL you wish to delete.
4. Press the menu/ok button to select. The screen displays Are you sure? No Yes.
5. Use the 5or 6button to select No or Yes.
6. Press the exit button repeatedly to return to photo screen.
NOTE: Deleting a PCIDL does NOT delete any photos or folders
that are linked to the photo or folder. The photos and folders are
preserved in internal memory.
Delete Photos from Internal Memory
This option allows you to remove photos from the photo frame's internal memory.
1. Make sure your phone is OFF (not in talk mode).
ꢀ. Press the menu/ok button to go to the main menu.
ꢁ. Use the 5or 6button to scroll to Delete Photos from Internal Memory.
4. Press the menu/ok button to confirm, thumbnail view displayed.
5. Press the navigational buttons to select a photo or folder to delete, use the
menu/ok button to open folders.
6. Press the menu/ok button to confirm. The screen displays Are you sure? PCID
will also be deleted. No Yes.

5. Use the 5or 6button to select No or Yes.
NOTE: When a picture or folder is deleted, it will unlink all PCIDL's
associated with the photo or folder, it does NOT delete the
associated name and number.
After deleting a picture or folder, the picture or folder that was
before the deleted photo or folder is now highlighted in the
thumbnail view as a convenience so that you can continue deleting
pictures or folders.
Note: If Delete Photos from Internal Memory is selected and if no
PCIDLs have been put into internal memory with Add Photos to
Internal Memory, then the screen displays this alert: You have not
placed any photos in phone memory. for 3 seconds, after which the
Frame Setup menu is displayed and Delete Photos from Internal
Memory is highlighted.
Note: Delete Photos from Internal Memory is only for deleting a
photo or folder from the phone’s internal memory, it cannot be
used to delete a photo or folder from a memory card.
Frame Preferences
1. Make sure your phone is OFF (not in talk mode).
ꢀ. Press the menu/ok button to go to the main menu.
ꢁ. Use the 5or 6button to scroll to Frame Preferences.
4. Press the menu/ok button to confirm and select from the following settings:
Frame Display Mode, Slide Show Setup, Frame On/Off Time, Power Saver,
Brightness and Language.
Frame Display Mode
Choose to display a photo slide show and/or clock in the picture frame
From the Frame Preferences menu:
1. Use the 5or 6button to scroll to Frame Display Mode.
ꢀ. Press the menu/ok button to confirm.
ꢁ. Use the 5or 6button to scroll to desired option. The default setting is Slide
Show w/Clock.
4. Press the menu/ok button to save. The screen displays Saved.
5. Press the exit button repeatedly to return to the photo screen.

Slide Show Setup
Adjust how the photos in the slide show are presented.
From the Frame Preferences menu:
1. Use the 5or 6button to scroll to Slide Show Setup.
ꢀ. Press the menu/ok button to confirm and select from the following settings;
Source, Speed, and Shuffle.
ꢁ. Use the 5or 6button to scroll to desired setting.
4. Press the menu/ok button to confirm.
Source - choose whether a slide show displays from internal memory, a memory
card, or both.
• Use the 5or 6button to scroll to desired option.
The default setting is Both.
• Press the menu/ok button to save. The screen displays Saved.
Speed - controls how fast the photos change in the slide show.
• Use the 5or 6button to scroll to desired option.
The default setting is 5 seconds.
• Press the menu/ok button to save. The screen displays Saved.
Shuffle - choose whether photo in a slide show are randomly displayed or not.
Select On to display photos randomly. Select Off to display photos in
chronological installation order from oldest to newest.
• Use the 5or 6button to scroll to desired option.
The default seting is On.
• Press the menu/ok button to save. The screen displays Saved.
5. Press the exit button repeatedly to return to the photo screen.
Power Saver
Select if and when the frame goes to power saver mode. When Power Saver is
activated, the backlighting dims.
From the Frame Preferences menu:
1. Use the 5or 6button to scroll to Power Saver.
ꢀ. Press the menu/ok button to confirm.
ꢁ. Use the 5or 6button to scroll to desired option. The default setting is Off.
4. Press the menu/ok button to save. The screen displays Saved.
5. Press the exit button repeatedly to return to the photo screen.

Frame On/Off Time
Set a schedule for the frame activation.
From the Frame Preferences menu:
1. Use the 5or 6button to scroll to Frame On/Off Time.
ꢀ. Press the menu/ok button to confirm.

Brightness
Choose a brightness level and a contrast level for the picture frame.
From the Frame Preferences menu:
1. Use the 5or 6button to scroll to Brightness.

Brightness and Contrast settings.
ꢁ. Use the 5or 6button to highlight Brightness.
4. Use the 3or 4button to decrease/ increase the brightness level. The default
brightness level setting is 50%

6. Use the 3or 4button to to decrease/ increase the contrast level. The default
contrast level setting is 50%.
7. Press the menu/ok button to save your selections. The screen displays Saved.
8. Press the exit button repeatedly to return to the photo screen.
Language
Select the display language for the base from English, French or Spanish. The
handset language is set separately on the handset.
From the Frame Preferences menu:
1. Use the 5or 6button to scroll to Language.

Programming the Telephone
A menu structure to give you access to all of the built-in features. You may program
the following items in main menu: Intercom, Setup HS, Setup BS, Date/Time, and
Registration.
NOTE: If the handset is not registered, or is out of range, Setup BS
and Date/Time are not programmable, and Unavailable displays as
you try to enter these two menus.
NOTE: During programming, you may press the mute/clear button
at any time to exit the sub-menu and return to the main menu, or
press flash/exit to exit programming and return to standby screen.
NOTE: If no key is pressed for 60 seconds, the handset will
automatically exit programming and return to standby screen.
NOTE: The handset cannot access nor navigate the Frame Setup
menu.
Handset Setup
1. Make sure your phone is OFF (not in talk mode).
ꢀ. Press the menu button to go to the main menu.
ꢁ. Press cid/vol (3or4) button to scroll to Setup HS.
4. Press the menu button to confirm and you may program the following items: Ring
Volume, Tones, Auto Talk, Handset Name and Language.
NOTE: If using a Model 27911 accessory handset, there will be
additional menu items which DO NOT apply to the 27956. These
items are used when the 27911 is paired with a model which
includes an answering system.

Language
From the Setup HS Menu:
1. Use the cid/vol (3or4) button to scroll to the Language
sub-menu.
ꢀ. Press the menu button to enter the menu.
ꢁ. Use the cid/vol (3or4) button to select English, Français or Espanol. The
default setting is English.
4. Press the menu button to save your selection.
Ring Volume
There are 4 volume levels for your selection. They are Volume 1 to ꢁ and Ringer off
respectively.
From the Setup HS Menu:
1. Use the cid/vol (3or4) button to scroll to the Ring Volume sub-menu.
ꢀ. Press the menu button to enter the menu. Use the cid/vol (3or4) button to scroll
to your selection. The default setting is VOL 3.
ꢁ. Press the menu button to save your selection and the new volume setting shows
in the display.
NOTE: Ringer can be disabled by pressing the mute/clear/ringer on/off
button in standby mode, please refer to “Ringer On/Off”.
Tones
From the Setup HS Menu:
1. Use the cid/vol (3or4) button to scroll to the Tones sub-menu.
ꢀ. Press the menu button to confirm and you may program the following items: Low
Battery, No Coverage and Key Tone.
ꢁ. Use the cid/vol (3or4) button to scroll to the item you want to program and
press the menu button to enter.
Low Battery - You may set the warning beep to “On” when your handset battery
is low, so as to alert you to charge the battery. Use the cid/vol (3or4) button to
scroll to On or Off, then press the menu button to save the setting. The default
setting is On.
No Coverage - You may set the warning beep to “On” or “Off” when the handset
is out of range. Use the cid/vol (3or4) button to scroll to On or Off, then press
the menu button to save the setting. The default setting is On.

NOTE: When the handset is in the idle (off) mode and is out of range
from the base unit the display shows Searching. If the talk/call back
button is pressed, the screen briefly displays Unavailable then
returns to Searching.
Key Tone - You may set the key tone to “On” or “Off” to sound a tone when you
press any button. Use the cid/vol (3or4) button to scroll to On or Off, then press
the menu button to save the setting. The default setting is On.
Auto Talk
This option allows you to pick up the handset from base to answer an incoming call
without pressing the talk/call back button.
From the Setup HS Menu:
1. Use the cid/vol (3or4) button to scroll to the Auto Talk sub-menu.
ꢀ. Press the menu button to enter the menu. Use the cid/vol (3or4) button to scroll
to your selection. The default setting is Off.
ꢁ. Press the menu button to save your selection.
Handset Name
From the Setup HS Menu:
1. Use the cid/vol (3or4) button to scroll to the Handset name sub-menu.
ꢀ. Press the menu button to enter the menu. The default setting is Handset.
ꢁ. Use the touch-tone pad to enter a name (up to 1ꢁ characters). More than one
letter is stored in each of the number keys. For example, to enter Bill Smith, press
the ꢀ key twice for the letter B. Press the 4 key ꢁ times for the letter I. Press the
5 key ꢁ times for the letter L. Press the 5 key ꢁ times for the second letter L, and
press the 1 key to insert a space between the first and last name. Press the 7 key
4 times for the letter S; press the 6 key once for the letter M; press the 4 key ꢁ
times for the letter I; press the 8 key for the letter T; press the 4 key twice for the
letter H.
NOTE: If you make a mistake, use the cid/vol (3or4) button to
move the cursor forward or backward, then use the mute/clear
button to backspace and delete one character at a time.
NOTE: * key is a function key to toggle between the upper case and
low case of characters during text edit.
4. Press the menu button to save your name. You will hear a confirmation tone and
the screen displays Saved.

Base Setup
1. Make sure your phone is OFF (not in talk mode).
ꢀ. Press the menu button to go to the main menu.
ꢁ. Use the cid/vol (3or4) button to scroll to Setup BS.
4. Press the menu button to confirm and you may program the following items: Area
Code, and Dial mode.
Area Code
The telephone uses the pre-programmed area code to determine the number format
to display when a valid Caller ID record is received. The pre-programmed area code is
also used for the Dialback feature.
From the Setup BS Menu:
1. Use the cid/vol (3or4) button to scroll to the Area code sub-menu.
ꢀ. Press menu button to enter the menu. The screen displays Enter area code.
ꢁ. Use the touch-tone pad to enter your ꢁ-digit area code.
4. Press the menu button to save the setting.
NOTE: If you want to overwrite the area code, you must delete the
existing one first.
Dial Mode
From the Setup BS Menu:
1. Use the cid/vol (3or4) button to scroll to the Dial mode sub-menu.
ꢀ. Press the menu button to enter the menu and use the cid/vol (3or4) button to
select Tone or Pulse.
ꢁ. Press the menu button to save your selection.
Date/Time
NOTE: Time set on handset will be transferred to the base unit
automatically.
1. Make sure your phone is OFF (not in talk mode).
ꢀ. Press the menu button to go to the main menu and use the cid/vol (3or4)
button to scroll to Date/Time.
ꢁ. Press the menu button to enter the menu. The screen displays Year 2008.
4. Use the touch-tone pad to enter the last two digits of the current year (range: 00
to 99).

5. Press the menu button to save the year setting and proceed to date setting.
6. The screen displays Date 01/01. Use the touch-tone pad to enter two digits for
current month and day respectively.
7. Press the menu button to save the month/date setting and proceed to time
setting.
8. The screen displays Time 12:01p. Use the touch-tone pad to enter four digits for
current time and use the cid/vol (3or4)button to toggle between “p” (pm) and
“a” (am).
9. Press the menu button to save the setting. The screen displays Saved.
NOTE: If you subscribe to Caller ID service, the current date/time is
set automatically when you receive your first CID record and will
override manually set date/time.
Registration
NOTE: The following procedures can ONLY be done with 27956 or
27911 Accessory Handsets.
A cordless handset will not operate until it is registered to the base. During the
registration process, keep the handset near the base. Up to 4 cordless handsets can
be registered to one base.
NOTE: If a handset is not registered the screen displays Not
Register and if the TALK button on the handset is pressed, the
screen displays Unavailable.
1. Make sure your phone is OFF (not in talk mode).
ꢀ. On the handset; press the menu button to go to the main menu and use the
cid/vol (3or4) button to scroll to Registration.
ꢁ. Press the menu button to confirm and use the cid/vol (3or4) button to scroll to
Register.
4. Press the menu button, the screen displays Press and hold page key for 5s.
5. Press and hold the page button on base for 5 seconds , the base screen displays
Registration Mode.
6. If the registration is successful, the handset screen displays Successful and emits
a confirmation tone.
7. If the registration fails (i.e. timeout), the handset screen displays No base and
emits an error tone.

De-Registration
Deregistration cancels registration. During the deregistration process, keep the
handset near the base.
WARNING: It is not recommended that a handset be deregistered
unless absolutely necessary because once a handset is
deregistered, that handset’s telephone features cannot be used
until the handset is re-registered.
1. Make sure your phone is OFF (not in talk mode).
ꢀ. Press the menu button to go to the main menu and use the cid/vol (3or4)
button to scroll to Registration.
ꢁ. Press the menu button to confirm.
4. Use the cid/vol (3or4) button to scroll to the Remove handset.
5. Press the menu button to enter the menu. The screen displays Remove handset? .
6. Press the menu button again to confirm de-registration.
NOTE: If a handset is de-registered, the screen displays Not
Register in Standby and Unavailable if the TALK button is pressed.
Telephone Operation
Charge Indicator on Base
The charge indicator on the base illuminates when a handset is in the base charging.
Making a Call
1. Press the talk/call back button. Dial the desired number.
- OR -
Dial the number first, then press the talk/call back button.
ꢀ. When finished, press the talk/call back button or put the handset back into the
cradle to hang up.
NOTE: If you want to delete the pre-dial number you entered, press
the mute/clear button until all of the digits are erased.

Answering Calls
1. When the phone rings, press the talk/call back button.
ꢀ. When finished, press the talk/call back button or put the handset back into the
cradle to hang up.
NOTE: If you have turned the Auto Talk function on, you can pick
up the handset from the base to answer the incoming call directly,
without pressing any buttons.
NOTE: Adjust the handset volume by pressing the cid/vol (3or4)
button during a call.
Inserting a Pause in the Dialing Sequence
Press the #pause button twice to insert a delay in dialing sequence when a pause is
needed to wait for a dial tone (for example, after you dial 9 for an outside line, or to
wait for a computer access tone.) The screen displays a pause as a P, and each pause
counts as one digit in the dialing sequence.
Redial
To quickly redial a number you dialed:
1. Make sure the phone is OFF (not in talk mode).
ꢀ. Press the talk/call back button.
ꢁ. Press the redial button first, then use the cid/vol (3or4) button to select the
desired redial number.
NOTE: You may choose from 10 last dialed numbers.
4. Press the menu button. The number dials automatically.

5. Press the menu button to enter edit mode.
6. Use the cid/vol (3or4) button to move the cursor forward or backward. Use the
touch-tone pad to add digits or press the mute/clear button to backspace and
delete one digit at a time.
7. After editing, press the talk/call back button to dial the modified redial number.
Storing a Redial Record in Phone Book
1. Make sure the phone is OFF (not in talk mode).
ꢀ. Press the redial button first, then use the cid/vol (3or4) button to scroll to the
desired redial number.
ꢁ. Press the menu button.
4. Use the cid/vol (3or4) button to scroll to Save number.
5. Press the menu button to enter edit mode.
6. The screen displays Enter name. Input a name. Please refer to section “Handset
Name” for name editing method.
NOTE: A name must be input otherwise the record cannot be stored.
7. Press the menu button to save. The screen displays Saved. Repeat steps ꢀ
through 7 to save other records.
Deleting a Redial Record
1. Make sure the phone is OFF (not in talk mode).
ꢀ. Press the redial button first, then use the cid/vol (3or4) button to select the
desired redial number.
ꢁ. Press the menu button.
4. Use the cid/vol (3or4) button to scroll to Delete?.
5. Press the menu button to delete the record. The screen displays Confirm?.
6. Press the menu button again to confirm the deletion. The screen displays Deleted.
NOTE: Press the flash/exit button to return to the standby mode
without deleting any redial records.

Call Timer
After you press the talk/call back button on the handset, the built-in call timer shows on the
display and counts the length of time of the call in hours, minutes and seconds.
Auto Standby
If you place the handset in the cradle while the handset is off the hook (during a call),
the call is automatically disconnected.
Ringer On/Off
1. Make sure the phone is OFF (not in talk mode).
ꢀ. Press the mute/clear/ringer on/off button to switch the ringer on or off.
NOTE: If you turn the ringer OFF, the screen displays RINGER OFF.
Flash
If you subscribe to the combined Call Waiting Caller ID service from your local
telephone company, you will receive Caller ID information (if available) on Call Waiting
calls. During a phone call, you will hear a beep to indicate another call is waiting on
the line and the handset screen displays the Caller ID information for the waiting call.
•
To connect to the waiting call, press the flash/exit button on the handset, and
your original call is put on hold.
•
To switch between the two calls, press the flash/exit button.
TIP: Do not press the talk/call back button on the handset to
activate a custom calling service, such as call waiting, or the call
will disconnect.

Mute
To have a private, off-line conversation, use the mute feature. The party on the
telephone line cannot hear you, but you can hear them.
1. Press the mute/clear button. The handset screen displays MUTE.
ꢀ. Press the mute/clear button to cancel and return to your phone conversation.
Page
The page feature helps you locate a misplaced handset.
1. Press the page button on the base. The base screen displays Paging and the
handset beeps, then the handset screen displays Page from base.
ꢀ. To cancel the page, press the page button on the base, or press any key on the
handset. Otherwise the paging will last for ꢀ minutes.
Receiver Volume Control
When the handset is ON (in talk mode) you may adjust the receiver volume by
pressing the cid/vol (3or4) button. There are five volume levels to choose from. VOL
1 is minimum and VOL 5 is maximum.
Intercom Operation
The intercom feature allows you to have a conversation with another registered
handset without tying up the telephone line, allowing you to still receive incoming
calls.
NOTE: The Intercom Operation is applicable ONLY with an
accessory handset.
Handset to Handset Intercom Call
1. Make sure the originating phone is OFF (not in talk mode).
ꢀ. Press the menu button and use the cid/vol (3or4) button to scroll to Intercom.
ꢁ. Press the menu button to enter the menu. The screen displays INT - Number?.
4. Use the touch-tone pad to input the number of the handset you want to page.
(For example: press 1 to page handset 1.)
5. The receiving handset is paged and emits a tone.
NOTE: To cancel the page, press the talk/call back button on the
originating handset.

6. Wait for the person at the receiving handset to press the talk/call back button.
NOTE: If the receiving handset does not answer within two minutes,
the intercom call is automatically canceled and the originating
handset screen displays NO ANSWER.
7. When finished, press the talk/call back on either handset to deactivate the
intercom.
Three-way Conferencing
You may have a three-way conversation using two handsets and an outside caller.
NOTE: The Three-way Conference is applicable ONLY with an
accessory handset.
1. When the phone rings, press the talk/call back button on both handsets.
ꢀ. The screens display Conference. All three parties will hear a conference alert tone.
ꢁ. When finished, press the talk/call back button (or put the handsets back into the
cradle) to hang up.
NOTE: If the phone system is expanded to additional handsets, only
2 handsets will be allowed in a telephone line conference. When
the third handset tries to join the conference, Unavailable will be
shown with error beeps. When a handset is in use (in talk mode),
the other handset(s) screen displays Line in use.
Caller ID (CID)
IMPORTANT: In order to use this unit’s Caller ID features, you must
subscribe to either the standard Name/Number Caller ID Service or
Call Waiting Caller ID Service. To know who is calling while you are
on the phone, you must subscribe to Call Waiting Caller ID Service.
This unit receives and displays information transmitted by your local phone company.
This information can include the phone number, date, and time; or the name, phone
number, date, and time. The incoming date/time information will override the
telephone Date/Time setting.

Call Waiting Caller ID
Provided you subscribe to Call Waiting Caller ID service from your phone company; if
you receive an incoming call and you are using the GE multi handset system, a beep
indicates the presence of a Call Waiting call on the line. The Call Waiting Caller ID
information will be displayed and stored in the history of all handsets in the system.
•
When you hear the call waiting beep in the handset receiver, press the flash/exit
button to put the current call on hold and answer the incoming call. Press flash/
exit again to return to the original call.
Note: While on a PCID linked call, if another PCID linked call is
received, the original picture displays at the top right corner and
the incoming caller is displayed on rest of the screen.
Receiving CID Records
When you receive a call, the Caller ID information is transmitted between the first and
second ring. The Caller ID information appears on the display while the phone rings,
giving you a chance to monitor the information and decide whether or not to answer
the call.
Storing CID Records (In CID Memory)
If you are not at home or cannot answer, your telephone’s Caller ID memory stores
the data for the ꢁ0 most recent calls (up to ꢀ0 digits and 15 characters for each
record) you received so you can see who called while you were unavailable. The
screen displays New calls, as a reminder that there are unanswered calls. When the
ꢁ1st call is received, the oldest Caller ID record (1st call) is automatically deleted.
You may review the stored information at any time. If calls were received since your
last review the screen displays NEW. Calls that have not been previously reviewed but
were received from the same number more than are indicated as RPT in the display.
Reviewing CID Records
As calls are received and stored, the display is updated to let you know how many
calls have been received. To scroll CID records:
1. Make sure the phone is OFF (not in talk mode).
ꢀ. Press the cid/vol (4) button to review the oldest call and scroll toward the most
recent calls.
ꢁ. Press the cid/vol (3) button to review the newest call and scroll toward the older
calls.

NOTE: When you reach the end of records, the screen displays
--End of list--.
NOTE: If no calls have been received, the screen displays Empty for
2 seconds at the time the cid/vol (3or4) button is pressed.
Dialing a CID Number

ꢁ. Press the talk/call back button. The number dials automatically.
Formatting a CID Number Before Dialing
NOTE: Depending on (a) how the incoming caller’s phone number is
formatted when it is received, and (b) whether or not you previously
pre-programmed your local area code into the set up menu, you
may need to adjust the format of the incoming caller’s stored
phone number before making the call, press the format button to
adjust the number, and try again.
1. Make sure the phone is OFF (not in talk mode).

ꢁ. Press menu button.
4. Use the cid/vol (3or4) button to scroll to Save number.
5. Press menu button to enter edit mode. You may now change the name, if desired.

NOTE: If the CID record does not include a name. The screen
displays Enter name.
6. Press the menu button to save.
NOTE: If the screen displays Memory full and the unit emits 3 beeps,
you should delete one or more unnecessary records and repeat
above steps to continue the call record storage.
NOTE: Press the flash/exit button to keep the previous setting
(making no changes) and return to the standby mode.
NOTE: If the selected CID record contains any information that is
non-numeric, the unit will not allow this record to transfer to the
internal user memory.

Each handset can store up to fifty ꢀ4-digit numbers with up to 15-character names in
memory for quick dialing. The records are stored by alphabetic ascending order.
Adding Phone Book Entries
1. Make sure the phone is OFF (not in talk mode).
ꢀ. Press the phone book button.
ꢁ. Press the menu button and use the cid/vol (3or4) button to scroll Add new.
4. Press the menu button. The screen displays Enter number.
5. Use the touch-tone pad to input a telephone number.
TIP: Press the #pause button twice to insert a pause in a number if
necessary.
6. Press the menu button. The screen displays Enter name. Please refer to section
“Handset Name” for name editing method.
7. Press the menu button to save.
NOTE: If the screen displays Memory full, you should delete one or
more unnecessary records and repeat above steps to continue the
call record storage.

ꢁ. Press menu button to enter edit mode. You may now change the number, if
desired.

Deleting a Phone Book Record
1. When reviewing the phone book records list, use the cid/vol (3or4) button or
the number keys to scroll to the desired record.

Dialing a Phone Book Record
Dial a phone book record while in talk mode:
1. Make sure the phone is ON (in talk mode) by pressing the talk/call back button.

ꢁ. Use the cid/vol (3or4) button or the number keys to scroll to the desired record.
4. Press the menu button to dial the number.

Dial a phone book record while reviewing it:
1. Make sure the phone is OFF (not in talk mode).

4. Press the talk/call back button. The number dials automatically.
If you want to edit the number before dialing:
1. Press the menu button when reviewing phone book records.

enter edit mode.
ꢁ. When finished editing, press talk/call back to dial the number.
Chain Dialing from Phone Book
Use this feature to make calls which require a sequence of numbers, such as a calling
card number used for a frequently called long distance number.
You can store each part of the dialing sequence (such as Long Distance Access
Number, Authorization Code, and a frequently called long distance number) in the
phone book and simply repeat step ꢀ through 4 in “Dial a phone book record while in
talk mode” to dial them one by one.

Changing the Battery
CAUTION: To reduce the risk of fire or personal injury, use
only the Thomson Inc. approved Nickel-metal Hydride (Ni-MH)
battery model 5-2734, that is compatible with this unit.
1. Make sure the telephone is OFF (not in TALK mode) before you replace battery.
ꢀ. Remove the battery compartment door; push and hold the release button on the
handset and slide the back up and off.
Push
ꢁ. Disconnect the battery plug from the jack inside the battery compartment and
remove the battery pack from the handset.
4. Insert the new battery pack and connect the cord to the jack inside the battery
compartment.
5. Put the battery compartment door back on.
6. Place handset in the base or handset charge cradle to charge. Allow the handset
battery to properly charge (for 14 hours) prior to first use or when you
install a new battery pack. If you do not properly charge the phone, battery
performance will be compromised.
Battery Safety Precautions
•
Do not burn, disassemble, mutilate, or puncture. Like other batteries of this type,
toxic materials could be released which can cause injury.
•
To reduce the risk of fire or personal injury, use only the Nickel-metal
Hydride battery listed in the User’s Guide.

Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
Remove batteries if storing over ꢁ0 days.
NOTE: The RBRC seal on the battery used in your Thomson Inc. product

Check or repeat installation steps:
Make sure the base power cord is connected to a working electrical outlet.
Make sure the telephone line cord is connected to the base and the wall jack.

Connect another phone to the same jack. If it doesn’t work, the problem might
be your wiring or local service.
•

The handset may be out of range of the base. Move closer to the base.
Make sure the battery is properly charged (for 14 hours).
Dial tone is ok, but can’t dial out
•
Make sure the type of phone service you are subscribed to is TONE or PULSE,
and that the unit is SET TO MATCH the dialing mode.
Handset does not ring
•

Make sure the handset ringer is set to on.
The handset may be out of range of the base. Move closer to the base.
You may have too many extension phones on your line. Try unplugging some
extensions.

Check for a dial tone. If no dial tone is heard, see “No dial tone”.

Inicio Rápido
1. Inserte los brazos del soporte de metal en los orificios en la parte inferior de la
base, empuje hasta que se inserten en su sitio.
2. Conecte un extremo de la línea telefónica dentro del enchufe marcado
TEL LINE en la parte posterior de la base y el otro extremo dentro de

Sistema Digital de Seguridad
Su teléfono inalámbrico usa un sistema de seguridad digital para evitar el timbrado falso,
el uso no autorizado y cargos a su línea telefónica.
NOTA SOBRE LA INSTALACIÓN: Algunos teléfonos inalámbricos operan
a frecuencias que pueden causar o recibir interferencia con aparatos
de televisión, hornos de microondas, hornos, o videocaseteras que
se encuentren cerca de este aparato. Para minimizar o evitar dicha
interferencia, la base del teléfono inalámbrico no debe ser colocada
cerca o encima de la televisión, de un horno de microondas, o de la
videocasetera. Si dicha interferencia continúa, mueva el teléfono lejos
del aparato eléctrico causante de la interferencia.
Algunos otros accesorios para la comunicación pueden utilizar
frecuencias de 1.9 GHz DECT para comunicarse, y si no están

Instalar el Teléfono
Instalar la Batería del Auricular
NOTA: Usted debe conectar la batería del auricular antes de utilizar el
aparato.
PRECAUCION: Para reducir el riesgo de fuego o lastimaduras
personales, use solamente la batería de Níquel- Hidruro Metálico
(Ni-MH) modelo 5-2734 aprobado por Thomson Inc. eso es
compatible con esta unidad.
1. Localice la batería que está empacada dentro de una bolsa de plástico separada del
auricular.
ꢀ. Localice el compartimento de la batería en la parte posterior del auricular.
3. Conecte el cable de la batería en el conector dentro del compartimento.
NOTA: Para asegurar la instalación apropiada de la batería, el conector
está diseñado de forma que puede ser insertado solamente de una
manera.

5. Cierre el compartimiento de la batería colocando la cubierta posterior del auricular
ligeramente más arriba que el auricular y luego deslizando la cubierta hacia abajo en

Estación para la Base/Marco de Fotos
1. Inserte los brazos del soporte de metal en los orificios en la parte inferior de la base,
empuje hasta que se inserten en su sitio.
ꢀ. Escoja un área cerca de un enchufe eléctrico y un enchufe modular telefónico (RJ11C),
y coloque su teléfono inalámbrico sobre una superficie plana y nivelada como una
mesa o un escritorio, o usted puede montarlo sobre la pared.
3. Conecte un extremo de la línea telefónica dentro del enchufe marcado TEL LINE en la
parte posterior de la base y el otro extremo dentro de un enchufe modular de pared.
4. Conecte el adaptador de la corriente eléctrica AC dentro del enchufe eléctrico y el
conector DC dentro del enchufe en la parte posterior de la base.
PRECAUCION: Para reducir el riesgo de lesión personal, fuego, o
daño use solamente el adaptador de corriente 5-2833 listado en
la guia del usuario. Este adaptador de corriente es diseñado para
estar orientado correctamente en una posición de montaje vertical
o en el piso.
5. Coloque el auricular sobre la base. El indicador charge se ilumina para verificar que el
aparato está cargando.
Deje que el teléfono se cargue durante 14 horas antes de utilizarlo por primera
vez. Si usted no carga adecuadamente el teléfono, el funcionamiento de la batería
podría deteriorarse.

Cambio del Marco de Fotos
Para quitar el Marco de Fotos;
Empuje suavemente las lengüetas hasta
que salgan.
Para colocar el Marco de Fotos;
Alinee el marco (tome como referencia
las marcas en la parte posterior del
marco para la colocación correcta) e
inserte con suavidad en la base.
Montar la Base sobre la Pared
NOTA: Retire el soporte de cable, si está conectado, presionando en las
lengüetas deslizando cada brazo hacia afuera individualmente.
1. Conecte el adaptador de la corriente eléctrica AC dentro del enchufe eléctrico y el
conector DC dentro del enchufe en la parte posterior de la base.
ꢀ. Conecte un extremo de la línea telefónica dentro del enchufe marcado TEL LINE en la
parte posterior de la base y el otro extremo dentro de un enchufe modular de pared.
3. Deslice los orificios de montaje (en la parte posterior de la base) sobre los postes de la
placa de la pared y deslice firmemente la unidad hacia abajo en su sitio.

Programación del Marco de Fotos
Especificaciones:
El Marco de Fotos es compatible con las tarjetas de memoria SD y XD, o las tarjetas de
memoria Sony (Sony MS compatible SOLO con un adaptador), formatos de archivo de
imagen JPEG y tiene capacidad de Memoria Interna de 3ꢀ MB (aprox. 100 fotos a un
máximo de ꢀMB/foto).
Configuración del Marco
Una estructura de menú permite accesar todas las características incorporadas.
Usted puede programar los elementos siguientes en el menú principal: Añadir Fotos
a la Memoria Interna, Config identificador de llamada-imagen, Eliminar fotos de la
memoria interna, preferencias del marco y Restaurar todas las configuraciones.
NOTA: Durante la programación, todos los auriculares deben estar
apagados (no en modo hablar).
NOTA: Ppresione el botón exit repetidamente para regresar a un menú
de nivel superior o para regresar a la pantalla de fotos. Después de 60
segundos de inactividad, el marco saldrá automáticamente del modo
programación y regresará a la pantalla de fotos sin guardar cambios.
NOTA: El auricular no puede accesar ni navegar el menú de
Configuración de Marco.
NOTA: si la pantalla de fotos se “congela” durante la programación,
espere unos cuantos minutos para permitir que se reinicie. Si no
sucede el reinicio después de dos minutos, desconecte la corriente
para reiniciar.
Añadir Fotos a la Memoria Interna
Esta opción le permite ver miniaturas de fotos y carpetas, y navegar la estructura
de archivo de fotos que estén en la tarjeta de memoria insertada. Usted puede
también añadir fotos de la tarjeta de memoria a la memoria del teléfono. (Consulte las
instrucciones de su cámara sobre cómo formatear y transferir fotos adecuadamente).
NOTA: TEl marco de fotos es embarcado con cuatro fotos
predeterminadas que activarán la presentación de diapositivas.
Después de añadir la primera foto desde una tarjeta de memoria las
fotos predeterminadas son desactivadas y solamente foto(s) nueva(s)
almacenada(s) en la memoria interna se pueden accesar.
1. Inserte una tarjeta de memoria cargada en la ranura al lado de la base, detrás del
marco.

ꢀ. Presione el bóton menu/ok para ir al menú principal.
3. Use el bóton 5 ó 6 para desplazarse a Añadir fotos a la memoria interna.
4. Presione el bóton menu/ok para confirmar, los contenidos del directorio raíz se
visualizan.
NOTA: Si ninguna tarjeta de memoria es detectada, la pantalla
muestra No hay tarjeta de memoria disponible. Verifique la instalación
de la tarjeta de memoria; desplácese a Volver a intentar ó Cancelar, y
presion el bóton menu/ok otra vez.
5. Presione el bóton menu/ok.
Usted puede ahora seleccionar toda una carpeta o fotos individuales para añadir a la
memoria interna.
Para seleccionar toda una carpeta:
1. Use los botones de navegación para colocar la casilla verde alrededor de la carpeta
deseada.
ꢀ. Presione el bóton menu/ok. La pantalla muestra Qué le gustaría hacer?, junto con
las opciones siguientes:
Abrir esta carpeta ‑ Visualiza contenidos de carpeta para verlos (usted puede
también hacer selecciones de fotos individuales desde aquí)
Añadir esta carpeta a memoria interna ‑ añade todo el contenido a la memoria
interna
Cancelar ‑ regresa al directorio raíz
3. Use los botones de navegación para desplazarse a la opción deseada.
4. Presione el bóton menu/ok.
Abrir esta carpeta ‑ después de ver miniaturas, presione el botón salir para regresar
al menú principal

Para seleccionar una foto:

marca de verificación aparece en la esquina inferior de la miniatura de la foto. Repita
según sea necesario para seleccionar las fotos deseadas.
3. Presione el bóton exit dos veces para regresar a la pantalla de fotos.
NOTA: Para cancelar la carga de foto o carpeta, presione el botón exit.
Sin embargo, las fotos ya copiadas a la memoria interna antes de
presionar exit, permanecerán.
NOTA: Si la memoria interna está llena, la pantalla muestra Mem
interna llena. Error copia archivo. Presione el bóton exit para para
regresar al menú principal. Usted necesitará eliminar algunas
imágenes o carpetas para cargar más imágenes.
Configuración Imagen-Identificador de
Llamada
Usted puede establecer un vínculo de manera que una foto de una persona que llame
aparezca cuando usted reciba una llamada de dicha persona. Los vínculos pueden ser
editados o eliminados.
1. Asegúrese de que su teléfono esté en OFF (no en modo hablar).
ꢀ. Presione el botón menu/ok para ir al menú principal .
3. Use el bóton 5 ó 6 para desplazarse a Config identificador de llamada-imagen.
4. Presione el botón menu/ok para confirmar y seleccione de los elementos siguientes:
Añadir nuev enlace identif llam imagen, Editar enlace actual identif llam imagen, y
Elim enlace actual identif llam imagenk.

No Sí. Seleccione Sí para aguardar ó No para regresar a la selección de foto,
para editar el Número de Teléfono:
• Presione el botón 3 para eliminar un dígito.
• Use el botón 5 ó 6 para volver a ingresar el número.
7. Use los botones de navegación para resaltar Guardar y Salir.
8. Presione el botón menu/ok para guardar y regresar al menú Use Registros CID.
NOTA: La pantalla Use Registros CID NO muestra PCIDLs asociados.
Revise los PCIDs existentes antes de añadir posibles duplicados.
9. Presione el botón exit repetidamente para regresar a la pantalla de fotos.
NOTA: Si la memoria interna está demasiado llena para almacenar
más fotos para vínculos CID, entonces cuando el usuario seleccione
Config identificador de llamada-imagen, un panel de alerta aparece:
La memoria interna es llena Suprima algunos cuadros o carpetas
para liberar para arriba un cierto espacio. ¿Usted tiene gusto ahora
de hacer eso? Sí No. Al seleccionar No, sale al Menú Configuración
del Marco con Config identificador de llamada-imagen resaltado;
Seleccionar Sí, lo lleva a la pantalla Eliminar fotos de la memoria
interna.

Ingrese la Información del que Llama
Del Menú de Añadir nuev enlace identif llam imagen:
1. Use el bóton 5 ó 6 para desplazarse a Ingrese del que llama.
ꢀ. Presione el botón menu/ok para seleccionar.
3. Repita los pasos 5‑9 en la sección Use registros CID para ingresar la información.
Edición de Vínculo Imagen Identificador de Llamada
Existente (PCIDL)
Si usted ya ha configurado un PCIDL, usted puede evitar en nombre, número
o vínculo de foto.
Del Menú de Config identificador de llamada-imagen:
1. Use el bóton 5 ó 6 para desplazarse a Editar enlace actual identif llam imagen.
ꢀ. Presione el botón menu/ok para confimar.
3. Use el botón 5 ó 6 para desplazarse al PCIDL que usted desea editar.
4. Presione el botón menu/ok para seleccionar. Efectúe las ediciones necesarias.
5. Use los botones de navegación para desplazarse a Guardar y Salir.
6. Presione el botón menu/ok para guardar los cambios.
7. Presione el botón exit repetidamente para regresar a la pantalla de fotos.
Para Eliminar Vínculo Imagen Identificador de
Llamada Existente (PCIDL)
Esta opción le permite borrar un PCIDL que ya no necesita.
Del Menú de Config identificador de llamada-imagen:
1. Use el bóton 5 ó 6 para desplazarse a Elim enlace actual identif llam imagen.
ꢀ. Presione el botón menu/ok para confimar.
3. Use el bóton 5 ó 6 para desplazarse al PCIDL que usted desea eliminar.
4. Presione el botón menu/ok para seleccionar.
La pantalla muestra ¿Está seguro? No Sí.
5. Use el bóton 5 ó 6 para seleccionar No ó Sí.
6. Presione el botón exit repetidamente para regresar a la pantalla de fotos.
NOTA: Eliminar un PCIDL No elimina fotos o carpetas que estén
vinculados con la foto o carpeta. Las fotos y carpetas se preservan en
la memoria interna.

Eliminar Fotos de la Memoria Interna
Esta opción le permite remover fotos de la memoria interna del marco.
1. Asegúrese de que su teléfono esté en OFF (no en modo hablar).
ꢀ. Presione el botón menu para ir al menú principal.
3. Use el botón 5 ó 6 para desplazarse al Eliminar fotos de la memoria interna.
4. Presione el botón menu/ok para confimar, la vista de la miniatura se muestra.
5. Presione el botón navigational para seleccionar una foto o carpeta para eliminar, use
el botón menu/ok para abrir carpetas.
6. Presione el botón menu/ok para confimar. La pantalla muestra ¿Está seguro? PCID
será detectado también. No Sí.
5. Use el bóton 5 ó 6 para seleccionar No ó Sí.
NOTA: Cuando la imagen o carpeta sea eliminada, todos los PCIDLs
asociados con la foto o carpetas serán desvinculados, esto No elimina
el nombre asociado y el número.
Después de eliminar una carpeta o imagen, la carpeta o imagen que
estaba antes de la foto o carpeta eliminada es ahora resaltada en
la vista de miniatura como una manera conveniente para que usted
pueda continuar eliminando imágenes o carpetas.
NOTA: Si Eliminar fotos de la memoria interna es seleccionado y ningún
PCIDL ha sido colocado en la memoria interna, con Añadir fotos a

NOTA: Eliminar fotos de la memoria interna es sólo para eliminar una
foto o carpeta de la memoria interna del teléfono y no puede ser usado
para eliminar una foto o carpeta de una tarjeta de memoria.
Preferencias del Marco
1. Asegúrese de que su teléfono esté en OFF (no en modo hablar).

Config presentación de diapositivas
Usted puede ajustar como las fotos en la presentación de diapositivas son presentadas.

Origen ‑elige si una presentación de diapositivas se muestra desde memoria interna,
una tarjeta de memoria o ambas.

• Presione el botón menu/ok para guardar. La pantalla muestras Guardado.
Velocidad ‑controla qué tan rápido las fotos cambian en la presentación de
diapositivas.
• Use el botón 5 ó 6 para desplazarse a la opción deseada.
5 segundos es la selección de fábrica.
• Presione el botón menu/ok para guardar. La pantalla muestras Guardado.
Orden aleatorio ‑elige si una foto en una presentación de diapositivas es visualizada
en forma aleatoria o no. Seleccione On para visualizar las fotos en forma
aleatoria. Seleccione Off para visualizar fotos en el orden de instalación
cronológico desde la más antigua a la más nueva.
• Use el botón 5 ó 6 para desplazarse a la opción deseada.
On es la selección de fábrica.
• Presione el botón menu/ok para guardar. La pantalla muestras Guardado.
5. Presione el botón exit repetidamente para regresar a la pantalla de fotos.

Ahorro de Energía
Seleccione si y cuando el marco pase al modo ahorro. Cuando Ahorro de Energía es
activado, la luz de fondo se atenúa.

1. Use el botón 5 ó 6 para desplazarse al Ahorro de energíar.
ꢀ. Presione el botón menu/ok para confimar.

Tiempo On/Off Marco
Establece un programa para la activación del marco.
Del Menú de Preferencias del Marco:
1. Use el botón 5 ó 6 para desplazarse al Tiempo On/Off Marco.
ꢀ. Presione el botón menu/ok para confimar.
3. Use el botón 5 ó 6 para establecer el tiempo deseado, use el botón 3 ó 4para
mover el cursor. Activar marco: 5:00 AM y Desactivar marco: 11:00 PM es las
seleccións de fábrica.
4. Presione el botón menu/ok para guardar. La pantalla muestras Guardado.
5. Presione el botón exit repetidamente para regresar a la pantalla de fotos.
Brillo
Elija un nivel de brillo y un nivel de contraste para el marco de imágenes.
Del Menú de Preferencias del Marco:
1. Use el botón 5 ó 6 para desplazarse al Brillo.
ꢀ. Presione el botón menu/ok para entrar. La pantalla muestra las barras de
deslizamiento para las configuraciones dE Brillo y Contraste.
3. Use el botón 5 ó 6 para resaltar Brillo.
4. Use el botón3 ó 4 para disminuir/incrementar el nivel de brillo. El nivel de brillo
predeterminado establecido es del 50%.
5. Use el botón 5 ó 6 para resaltar Contraste.
6. Use el botón 3 ó 4 para disminuir/incrementar el nivel de contraste. El nivel de
contraste predeterminado establecido es del 50%.
7. Presione el botón menu/ok para guardar. La pantalla muestras Guardado.
8. Presione el botón exit repetidamente para regresar a la pantalla de fotos.

Idioma
Seleccione el idioma de visualización para la base de Inglés, Francés o Español. El idioma
del auricular se establece en forma separada en el auricular.

Restaurar Todas las Configuraciones
Restaura todas las preferencias del marco a las configuraciones predeterminadas de
fábrica.
1. Asegúrese de que su teléfono esté en OFF (no en modo hablar).
ꢀ. Presione el botón menu/ok para ir al menú principal.
3. Use el botón 5 ó 6 para desplazarse al Restaurar todas las configuraciones.
4. Presione el botón menu/ok para entrar. La pantalla muestra ¿Está seguro? No Sí.
5. Use el botón 5 ó 6 para seleccionar No ó Sí.
6. Presione el botón menu/ok para guardar. La pantalla muestras Guardado.

Programación del Teléfono
El sistema usa una estructura de menú para darle acceso a todas las opciones
integradas. Usted puede programar los siguientes elementos en el menú principal:
Intercom, Establecer HS, Establecer BS, Fecha/Hora, y Registro.
NOTA: Si el auricular no está registrado, o está fuera de alcance,
Establecer BS y Fecha/Hora no son programables, y No disponible se
visualiza mientras usted trata de ingresar a estos dos menús.
NOTA: Durante la programación, Ud. puede presionar el botón mute/
clear en cualquier momento para salir del submenú y regresar al
menú, o presione flash/exit para salir de la programación y regresar a
la pantalla de espera.
NOTA: Si ninguna tecla es presionada en 60s, el auricular saldrá automá-
ticamente de la programación y regresará a la pantalla de espera.
NOTA: El auricular no puede accesar ni navegar el menú Configuración
del Marco.

cuando el 27911 funciona junto con un modelo que incluya un sistema
de contestadora.
Idioma
Del Menú del Establecer HS:
1. Presione el botón cid/vol (3o4) para moverse al submenú Idioma (Language).
ꢀ. Presione el botón menu para entrar al menú.
3. Utilice los botones cid/vol (3o4) para seleccionar English, Français o Espanol.
English es la selección de fábrica.
4. Presione el botón menu para guardar su selección.
Volumen Timbre
Escoja entre los cuatro niveles de volumen. Estos son Volumen 1 a 3 y el Timbre apagado
respectivamente.
Del Menú del Establecer HS:
1. Presione el botón cid/vol (3o4) para moverse al submenú Volumen timbre.
ꢀ. Presione el botón menu para entrar al menú y use el botón cid/vol (3o4) para
moverse a su selección. VOL 3 es la selección de fábrica.
3. Presione el botón menu para guardar su selección y la nueva selección de volumen se
muestra en la pantalla.
NOTA: El timbre puede ser desactivado presionando el botón mute/clear/
ringer on/off en modo en espera, por favor consulte “Timbre Encendido/
Apagado”.
Tonos
Del Menú del Establecer HS:
1. Presione el botón cid/vol (3o4) para moverse al submenú Tonos.
ꢀ. Presione el botón menu para entrar al menú y Ud. puede programar los siguientes
elementos: Batería baja, No cobertura y Tono de tecla.

presione el botón menu para entrar.
Batería baja - usted puede configurar el bip de advertencia en “On” cuando la batería
de su auricular esté baja, de manera que le alerte para cargar la batería. Utilice los
botones cid/vol (3o4) para seleccionar On o Off, luego presione el botón menu para
guardar la configuración. On es la selección de fábrica.
No cobertura - You usted puede configurar el bip de alerta en “On” u “Off” cuando el
auricular esté fuera de alcance. Utilice los botones cid/vol (3o4) para seleccionar On
o Off, luego presione el botón menu para guardar la configuración. On es la selección
de fábrica.
NOTA: Cuando el auricular esté en el modo inactivo (apagado) y esté
fuera de rango de la unidad base, la pantalla mostrará Buscando. Si el
botón talk/call back es presionado, la pantalla muestra brevemente No
disponible y luego regresa a Buscando.
Tono de Tecla - usted puede configurar el tono de tecla en “On” u “Off” cuando
presione los botones. Utilice los botones cid/vol (3o4) para seleccionar On o Off,
luego presione el botón menu para guardar la configuración. On es la selección de

Llamada Automática
Esta opción le permite levantar el auricular de la base para responder una llamada
entrante sin presionar el botón talk/call back.

Nombre del Auricular
Del Menú del Establecer HS:
1. Presione el botón cid/vol (3o4) para moverse al submenú Nombre auric.
ꢀ. Presione el botón menu para entrar al menú. Auricular es la selección de fábrica.
3. Use el teclado numérico para ingresar un nombre (hasta 13 caracteres). Más de una
letra es almacenada en cada una de las teclas numéricas. Por ejemplo, para escribir
Bill Smith, presione la tecla ꢀ dos veces para la letra B. Presione la tecla 4 3 veces para
la letra I. Presione la tecla 5 3 veces para la letra L. Presione la tecla 5 3 veces para
la segunda letra L, y presione la tecla 1 para insertar un espacio entre el nombre y el
apellido. Presione la tecla 7 cuatro veces para la letra S; presione la tecla 6 una vez

para la letra M; presione la tecla 4 3 veces para la letra I; presione la tecla 8 para la

NOTA: Si usted comete un error, presione el botón cid/vol (3o4) para
mover el cursor hacia adelante o hacia atrás, entonces presione el
botón mute/clear para retroceder y borrar un carácter a la vez.
NOTA: La tecla * es una tecla de función para alternar entre la
mayúscula y la minúscula de los caracteres durante la edición de texto.
4. Presione el botón menu para guardar su nombre. Usted escuchará un tono de
confirmación y la pantalla muestra Guardado.
Programación el Base

Claves de Área Regionales
El teléfono usa el código de área preprogramado para determinar el formato de número
a visualizar cuando se recibe un registro de Identificador de Llamada válido. El código de
área preprogramado es también usado para la característica de Regreso de Llamada.
Del Menú del Establecer BS:
1. Presione el botón cid/vol (3o4) para moverse al submenú Código de área.
ꢀ. Presione el botón menu para entrar al menú. Código área se muestra en la pantalla.
3. Use el teclado numérico para ingresar su código de área de 3 dígitos.
4. Presione el botón menu para guardar la configuración.
NOTA: Si usted quiere sobrescribir el código de área, primero debe
eliminar el existente.
Modo de Marcación
Del Menú del Establecer BS:
1. Presione el botón cid/vol (3o4) para moverse al submenú Modo marcar.
ꢀ. Utilice los botones cid/vol (3o4) para seleccionar Tono o Pulso.
3. Presione el botón menu para guardar su selección.

Fecha / Hora
NOTA: El ajuste de la hora en el auricular será transferido a la unidad
base automáticamente.

desplazarse a Fecha /Tiempo.
3. Presione el botón menu para entrar al menú. Año 2006 se muestra en la pantalla.
4. Use el teclado numérico de tonos para ingresar los últimos dos dígitos del año actual
(rango: 00 a 99).
5. Presione el botón menu para guardar la selección de año y proceda a la selección de
fecha.
6. Fecha 01/01 se muestra en la pantalla. Use el teclado numérico de tonos para
ingresar los últimos dos dígitos para el mes y el día actuales respectivamente.
7. Presione el botón del menu para guardar la selección de mes/fecha y proceda con la
selección de la hora.
8. Tiempo 12:01p se muestra en la pantalla. Use el teclado numérico de tonos para
ingresar los últimos cuatro dígitos para la hora actual y use el botón cid/vol (3o4)
para alternar entre “p” (pm) y “a” (am).
9. Presione el botón menu para guardar la configuración. Guardado se muestra en la
pantalla.
NOTA: Si usted se suscribe a un servicio de Identificador de Llamada,
la fecha/hora actual es establecida automáticamente cuando usted
reciba su primer registro CID y modificará la fecha/hora establecida
manualmente.
Registración
NOTA: Los procedimientos siguientes pueden ser efectuados
SOLAMENTE con los auriculares accesorios 27956 ó 27911.
Un auricular inalámbrico no operará hasta que esté registrado con la base. Durante
el proceso de registro, mantenga el auricular cerca de la base. Hasta 4 auriculares
inalámbricos pueden ser registrados con una base.
NOTA: Si un auricular no está registrado; No registrar parpadea en la
pantalla y si el botón TALK en el auricular es presionado, visualizará No
disponible.

5. Presione y sostenga el botón page en la base por 5 segundos, el base muestra Modo
Registro.
6. Si el registro es exitoso, el auricular muestra Exitoso y emite un tono de confirmación.
7. Si el registro falla (por ejemplo, exceso de tiempo), el auricular muestra No base y
emite un tono de error.
Des-Registrar
Esta función cancela el registrar. Durante el proceso des‑registrar, mantenga el auricular
cerca de la base.
ADVERTENCIA: No es recomendable que se cancele el registro de un
auricular a menos que sea absolutamente necesario porque una vez
que la cancelación ha sido llevada a cabo, las funciones del teléfono no
pueden usarse hasta que el auricular vuelva a ser registrado.
1. Asegúrese de que su teléfono esté en OFF (no en modo hablar).

NOTA: Si a un auricular se le retira el registro, este mostrará No
Registro en Espera (Standby) y mostrará No disponible si el botón TALK

Operación Básica del Teléfono
Charge Indicador en la Base
El indicador permanecerá iluminado cuando un auricular esté en la base cargando.
Para Hacer una Llamada
1. Presione el botón talk/call back. MMarque el número al que usted quiera llamar.

Marque el número primero y después presione el botón talk/call back.
ꢀ. Cuando haya terminado, presione el botón talk/call back ó coloque el auricular sobre
la base para colgar.
NOTA: Si usted quiere eliminar el número de premarcación que usted
ingresó, presione el botón mute/clear hasta que todos los dígitos sean
borrados.
Para Contestar una Llamada
1. Cuando el teléfono timbra, presione el botón talk/call back.
ꢀ. Cuando haya terminado, presione el botón talk/call back ó coloque el auricular sobre
la base para colgar.
NOTA: Si usted ha activado la función Auto Respuesta, usted puede
levantar el auricular de la base para responder la llamada entrante
directamente, sin presionar botón alguno.
NOTA: Ajuste el volumen del auricular utilizando los botones cid/vol
(3o4) durante una llamada.
Para Introducir una Pausa en la Secuencia de
Marcado
Presione el botón #pause dos veces para introducir un retraso en la secuencia de
marcado de un número telefónico almacenado (por ejemplo, después de que usted marca
9 para obtener línea externa, o para esperar e tono de acceso en una computadora). La
pausa se representa en la pantalla con una P. Cada pausa cuenta como 1 dígito en la
secuencia de marcado.
Para Volver a Marcar
Para remarcar rápidamente un número que usted marcó:
1. Asegúrese de que su teléfono esté en OFF (no en modo hablar).
ꢀ. Presione el botón talk/call back.

3. Presione primero el botón redial, luego use el botón cid/vol (3o4) para seleccionar
el número que se desea volver a marcar.

para retroceder y eliminar un dígito a la vez.
7. Después de editar, presione talk/call back para marcar el número de remarcación
modificado.
Almacenando un Registro de Remarcación en
el Directorio Telefónico
1. Asegúrese de que su teléfono esté en OFF (no en modo hablar).
ꢀ. Presione primero el botón redial, luego use el botón cid/vol (3o4) para seleccionar
el número que se desea volver a marcar.
3. Presione el botón menu.
4. Presione cid/vol (3o4) para desplazarse a Guardar número.
5. Presione el botón menu para entrar al modo de edición.
6. Entrar Nombre se muestra en la pantalla. Ingrese un hombre. Por favor refiérase a la
sección “Nombre del Auricular” para el método de edición de nombre.

Para Eliminar un Registro de Remarcación

NOTA: Presione el botón flash/exit para regresar al modo de espera sin
eliminar registros de remarcación.
Para Eliminar Todos los Registros de
Remarcación
1. Asegúrese que el teléfono esté desactivado OFF (no en el modo hablar).
ꢀ. Use el botón cid/vol (3o4) para mostrar algún registro de remarcación.
3. Presione el botón menu.
4. Presione cid/vol (3o4) para desplazarse a Suprimir todo?.
5. Presione el botón menu. Confirmar? se muestra en la pantalla.
6. Presione el botón menu otra vez para confirmar la eliminación. Todo suprimido se
muestra en la pantalla.
NOTA: Presione el botón flash/exit para regresar al modo de espera sin
eliminar registros de remarcación.
Temporizador de Llamadas
Después de que usted oprime el botón talk/call back en el auricular, el temporizador
integrado aparece en la pantalla y cuenta la duración de la llamada en horas, minutos, y
segundos.

Auto Alerta
Si usted coloca el auricular sobre la base, mientras el auricular está descolgado, (durante
una llamada), el auricular automáticamente desconecta la llamada.
Timbre Encendido/Apagado
1. Asegúrese de que su teléfono esté en OFF (no en modo hablar).
ꢀ. Presione el botón mute/clear/Ringer on/off para encender o apagar el timbre.
NOTA: Si usted apaga el timbre, TIMBRE OFF se muestra en la pantalla.
Servicios
Si usted se suscribe a los servicios combinados de Llamada en Espera e Identificador
de Llamada a través de su compañía telefónica, usted recibirá la información del
identificador de Llamadas (si ésta es disponible) en Llamadas en Espera. Durante una
llamada telefónica, usted escuchará un tono para indicarle que otra llamada está
esperando en la línea mientras que la información del Identificador de Llamadas para la
llamada en espera aparece en la pantalla del auricular.
•
Para conectar con la llamada en espera, presione el botón flash/exit en el auricular y
su llamada original se pone en espera.
•
Para pasar de una a otra llamada, presione el botón flash/exit.
SUGERENCIA: No presione el botón talk/call back en el teléfono
inalámbrico para activar un servicio de llamadas personalizado,
tal como llamada en espera, o desconexión al recibir llamada de un
número determinado.
Enmudecedor
Para tener una conversación fuera de la línea, utilice la función enmudecedora. La
persona del otro lado de la línea no le puede escuchar, pero usted puede escuchar a esa
persona.
1. Presione el botón mute/clear. La indicación MUTE aparece en la pantalla.
ꢀ. Presione el botón mute/clear para cancelar y volver a su conversación telefónica.
Localizador
Esta función le ayuda a localizar un auricular extraviado.
1. Presione el botón page en la base. La pantalla en la base muestra Buscando, el
auricular emite un bip y Buscar dsde base se muestra en la pantalla del auricular
ꢀ. Para cancelar la búsqueda, presione el botón page en la base, o presione alguna tecla
en el auricular. De otra forma la búsqueda durará minutos.

Cuando el teléfono está activado (ON) (en modalidad para hablar) usted puede ajustar

Identificador de Llamadas (Caller ID/CID)
IMPORTANTE: Para utilizar las características de la identificación de

Estándar de Identificador de Llamadas de Nombre/ Número, o al
Servicio de Identificador de Llamada en Espera (Caller ID with Call

usted no estuvo disponible. Y Nueva llamada se muestra en la pantalla, como un
recordatorio de que hay llamadas no respondidas. Cuando la llamada número 41 es

Cómo Cambiar la Batería
PRECAUCION: Para reducir el riesgo de fuego o lastimaduras
