analog NTSC TV tuner
Quick Start Guide
Welcome to EyeTV!
Run a coaxial cable from your antenna to the
ANT.IN port on the EyeTV 200.
Thank you for purchasing EyeTV 200. This guide
is designed to get you up and running with
EyeTV. You will be watching and recording
high-quality television shortly.
2. EyeTV 200 can be directly connected to a
cable line, to receive basic (unscrambled/
non-encrypted analog) cable:
Run a coaxial cable from your cable TV port to
the ANT.IN port on the EyeTV 200.
Open and Unpack Box
Your EyeTV 200 box should contain the
following items:
EyeTV 200 hardware
EyeTV software and PDF product manual
on CD-ROM
FireWire cable
Remote control
2 AAA batteries
3. EyeTV 200 can be connected to a cable box
or satellite receiver in two ways:
If your cable box/satellite receiver has audio
and video output connectors, attach a stereo
audio cable (usually colored red & white) from
your equipment's audio outputs to the audio
inputs on the EyeTV 200 (labeled L AUDIO R).
Connect a yellow composite video cable
between the cable box/satellite receiver's
video output and the video input on the EyeTV
200. For improved picture quality, use an
S-Video cable instead of the composite cable.
If your cable box/satellite receiver has a RF
output, connect a coaxial cable from the cable
box/satellite receiver's output to the ANT.IN
port on the EyeTV 200. EyeTV will pick up the
signal, usually on channel 3 or 4.
Attach EyeTV 200 to a Video Source
Your EyeTV 200 can be attached to many
different video sources. Choose from one of the

NOTE: Both of these methods require that
you change channels using your cable
box/satellite receiver remote control. The
EyeTV 200 does not directly communicate
with cable boxes or satellite receivers.
The EyeTV 200 receives power over the FireWire or content from another video source via the
cable. A DC-12V power adapter is optional.
Do not daisy-chain other bus-powered FireWire
devices to the EyeTV 200.
