Once you set the alarm time, follow

Using the Sleep Timer  
Playing the Radio  
You can set the radio to play for up to  
1 hour and 59 minutes, then automati-  
cally turn off.  
1. Set AM/FM to AM or FM.  
2. Set ON/OFF/AUTO/ALARM to ON  
to turn on the radio.  
1. Set ON/OFF/AUTO/ALARM to OFF.  
3. Rotate the tuning control to select  
your desired station.  
2. To set the sleep timer to the maxi-  
mum 1 hour and 59 minutes,  
press SLEEP and HOUR at the  
same time.  
4. Adjust VOLUME to a comfortable  
listening level.  
Notes:  
To set the sleep timer to less than  
the maximum, while pressing and  
holding SLEEP, press HOUR to set  
a time longer than 1 hour then  
press and hold MINUTE to set the  
desired sleep time.  
• The AM antenna is built-in. Rotate  
the clock radio for the best AM  
reception.  
• The power cord serves as an FM  
antenna. For the best FM recep-  
tion, stretch the power cord to its  
full length.  
Using the Night Light  
To turn on the night light, push LIGHT  
to the left.  
To turn off the night light, push LIGHT  
to the right.

Replacing the Night Light

Your Radio Shack Chronomatic-308  
AM/FM LED Clock Radio with Auto-  
matic Timer and Night Light is an ex-  
ample of superior design and  
craftsmanship. The following sugges-  
tions will help you care for it so you can  
enjoy it for years.  
If the night light bulb burns out, replace  
it with a 6.3-Volt, Type-44 bulb. We  
recommend Radio Shack Cat. No.  
272-1108.  
Caution: If the night light has been on  
several minutes, let the bulb and bulb  
socket cool before you touch them.  
• Keep the clock radio dry. If it gets  
wet, wipe it dry.  
• Use and store the clock radio only  
in normal temperature environ-  
ments.  
Follow these steps to replace the light  
bulb.  
1. Gently pull up the night light lens  
cover to remove it.  
• Handle the clock radio gently and  
carefully.  
• Keep the clock radio away from  
dust and dirt, which can cause  
premature wear of parts.  
• Wipe the clock radio with a damp  
cloth occasionally to keep it look-  
ing new.  
2. Unscrew the bulb.  
• Use only a fresh battery of the rec-  
ommended size and type. Always  
remove an old or weak battery.  
Modifying or tampering with the clock  
radio’s internal components can cause  
a malfunction and might invalidate its  
warranty and void your FCC authoriza-  
tion to operate it. If your clock radio is  
not performing as it should, take it to  
your local Radio Shack store for assis-  
tance.  
3. Insert a new bulb into the bulb  
socket and screw it into place.
