During CD playback, press CD MODE  
repeatedly to select one of the following  
mode with corresponding icon shows on the

1. Lift CD OPEN to open the CD  
compartment door.  
2. Insert a disc and close the door.

When AC power is interrupted (disconnected)  
for a short period of time, both time and  
alarm settings will change (unless batteries  
are installed). After AC power is restored  
(reconnected), the Digital Display will blink to  
indicate that power was interrupted and you  
should readjust the time and alarm settings.

increments will follow by a faster rate

Battery Back-Up Operation  
The power failure protection circuit will  
not operate unless battery is installed.  
-VOLUME+ - adjusts volume.  
AUX IN - AUX input jack.  
- repeats current track,  
- repeats the whole disc,  
- plays tracks randomly,  
- repeats the whole disc and plays  
randomly.

Selecting Radio Mode

A built-in ferrite rod antenna eliminates the  
need for an outside antenna for AM  
reception. Rotating the unit slightly may  
improve reception of distant AM stations.  
Top View  
Press ON to switch on radio.  
BAND - selects between AM and FM bands.  
TUNING - selects radio frequencies.  
CD OPEN - lift to open the CD compartment  
door.  
Switching Band  
substantially reduced. Memory holding  
time for a fresh alkaline battery is  
approximately 8 hours (if radio or  
alarm are not operated) which should  
take care of short, nuisance-type AC  
power failures. To preserve battery  
life, the unit should remain plugged  
into an AC outlet. As the battery gets  
older, its voltage drops and memory  
may be lost. Be sure to replace the  
battery periodically. Battery should be  
removed if the unit will be stored for  
more than one month. Leaky battery  
can badly damage the clock radio.  
Install battery as follow:  
STOP - stops CD playback.

Listening to Auxiliary Source  
1. Connect your auxiliary source (e.g. mp3  
player) to the AUX input jack on the left  
side of the unit.  
2. Start playback from your auxiliary source.  
3. Press ON to switch to listen to auxiliary  
source. The AUX indicator on the front  
will turn on. Press again to switch back to  
listen to the radio.  
Tuning the Radio  
Turn the TUNING knob on the right of the  
unit to adjust radio frequency.

Built-In AFC  
SNOOZE - enters snooze mode where the  
alarm will quiet but sound again once the  
snooze period is over.  
ON - turns radio on and selects AUX input  
mode.  
The Built In Automatic Frequency Control  
(AFC) works only on FM. It helps reducing  
drift on FM reception and keeping the  
radio locked in on the FM station to which  
it is tuned.  
When tuning in FM stations, you may  
notice that the station you are tuning can  
be well-tuned on two or three nearby  
points on the dial. Always tune carefully  
at the loudest and clearest point.

refurbished unit. The exchange unit is under  
warranty for the remainder of the original  
product’s warranty period.  
• Proof of purchase in the form of a bill of sale or  
receipted invoice which is evidence that the  
product is within the warranty period must be  
presented to obtain warranty service. For rental  
firms, proof of first rental is also required.  
How to make a warranty claim:  
• Properly pack your unit. Include any cables, etc.,  
which were originally provided with the product.  
We recommend using the original carton and  
packing materials.

Checking Wake Time  
Switching Off Wake Function  
Press WK-1 or WK-2 repeatedly at the front  
of the unit until no wake mode icon shows on  
the display.  
This unit allows two wake times to be set.  
1. Press SET repeatedly on the top of the  
unit until you see WAKE 1 or WAKE 2  
flashes on the display.  
Press SET repeatedly until you see WAKE 1 or  
WAKE 2 on the display, the currently set  
wake time will show as well.  
This operation allows extra sleep time  
after the wake function is on. The alarm  
will be off by pressing SNOOZE, NAP,  
SLEEP, REV or FWD until the snooze  
period is over. Snooze function can be  
used repeatedly up to 30 minutes (default:  
9 minutes). After this, the wake function  
will turn off until the next day.

wake alarm or radio will be switched off  
temporarily. The alarm, radio or CD will be on  
again when the snooze period is over. (see

Tip: The unit equips with GRAD-  
U-WAKE feature, the alarm tone  
volume will increase gradually to  
its maximum in about 30 to 45  
seconds.  
In sleep mode, you can set the duration  
(up to 2 hours) before the radio or CD  
turn off automatically.
