Sprint 411 gives you access to a variety of services and

information through yourphone, including residential,

business, and government listings; movie listings or

showtimes; driving directions, restaurant reservations,

and majorlocal event information.You can get up to

three pieces of information percall, and the operatorcan

automatically connect yourcall at no additional charge.

There is a per-call charge to use Sprint 411, and you will

and selects the highlighted choice when navigating

through a menu.While in Standby Mode, pressing

this key will take you to the Main Menu.

charging and turns green when charging is

returns you to the previous menu.This key also

allows you to return to the previous screen in a

SprintVision session.

14. Battery Strength Indicator represents the amount of

remaining battery charge currently available in your

phone.When all bars are displayed in the battery

icon, the phone’s battery is fully charged.When no

bars are displayed, the phone’s battery is nearly

completely discharged.

18. END/POWER Key lets you turn the phone on oroff,

end a call, orreturn to Standby Mode. While in the

main menu, it returns the phone to standby mode

and cancels yourinput.When you receive an

incoming call, press to decline the call and mute the

2. Insert the battery into the opening, making sure the

connectors align. Gently press down to secure the

Some features which are standard on the Nationwide

Sprint Network, such as call waiting, data services,

and direct international dialing, may be unavailable.

When you’re roaming on digital networks, yourcall

quality and security will be similarto the quality you

receive when making calls on the Nationwide Sprint

Network. However, you may not be able to access

certain features, such as data services, depending on

the available network.

Though callers can leave voicemail messages while

you are roaming, you may not receive notification until

you return to the Nationwide Sprint Network. (See

“Checking forVoicemail MessagesWhile Roaming”

on page 108.)

Ifyou’reonacallwhenyouleavetheNationwide

Navigating theWeb

Yourphone displays the current status of yourdata

connection through indicators at the top of the screen.

The following symbols are used:

Navigating through menus and websites during a data

session is easy once you’ve learned a few basics. Here

are some tips forgetting around:

Yourphone is on and is connected to the Sprint

3G data network.When the arrows are white/gray,

yourphone is transferring data (forexample, when

you are opening aWeb page)and you cannot

receive calls.When the arrows are white, your

phone is connected to the network but is not

currently transferring data (forexample, when you

are viewing aWeb page that is completely open),

and you can receive calls.

Softkeys

During a data session, the bottom line of yourphone’s

display contains one ormore softkeys.These keys are

shortcut controls fornavigating around theWeb, and

they correspond to the softkeys directly below the

phone’s display screen.
