Warnings and Precautions

Dock for iPod Using the included inserts, comfortably dock an iPod, iPod with color
display, iPod with video, iPod mini, or iPod nano (2G). This dock will charge an iPod and
allow it to be played through the unit’s speakers.

Stop/BAND Press the STOP button to stop a CD or iPod from playing. Press the BAND
button to switch between AM and FM radio modes.
POWER Press the Power button to turn the unit on and off. After the alarm sounds, press
the POWER button to turn the alarm off until the next day.
DIM Press the DIM (dimmer) button to adjust the brightness of the LCD between high,
medium, and low.

BASS Press the BASS button to boost the bass output on the unit.
FUNC. Press the FUNC. (function) button to switch between Radio, iPod, and AUX
modes.

VOLUME Turn the VOLUME dial clockwise to increase the volume and counter-clock-
wise to decrease the volume.
SNOOZE/SLEEP With the Power on, press the SLEEP button to set the sleep timer
between 10 and 90 minutes. When the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE button to delay the
alarm for an additional 9 minutes.

Battery Compartment (2 - ‘AAA’ batteries, not included) The Battery Compartment
serves as a back-up for the clock. The batteries alone will not allow the Radio, iPod, or
AUX functions to be used.
10 FM Antenna The FM Wire Antenna provides flexibility and range when adjusting the FM
reception. An AM Antenna is built into the player.
11 SKIP/SEARCH/HOUR Press the SKIP/SEARCH button to skip to the previous track of
an iPod. Press and hold the SKIP/SEARCH button to search backwards through an indi-
vidual track of an iPod. Press the HOUR button to change the hour when setting the clock
or alarms.
12 PLAY/PAUSE/CLOCK SET/DISPLAY Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to play or pause
a track on an iPod. With the unit off, press and hold the CLOCK SET button to activate
the clock set mode. In Radio mode, press the DISPLAY button to toggle between the radio
frequency view and the clock view.
13 SKIP/SEARCH/MINUTE Press the SKIP/SEARCH button to skip to the next track of an
iPod. Press and hold the SKIP/SEARCH button to search forwards through an individual
track of an iPod. Press the MINUTE button to change the minute when setting the clock or
alarms.
14 AL1 With the unit off, press and hold the AL1 button to enter the alarm 1 set mode.
15 AL2 With the unit off, press and hold the AL1 button to enter the alarm 2 set mode.

Peripherals
16 TUNING Turn the TUNING dial clockwise to increase the radio frequency and counter-
clockwise to decrease the radio frequency.
17 LCD Display Use the LCD display to view the time, alarm time, function, and radio fre-
quency.
18 LINE IN Use the LINE IN to connect an external audio source to the unit. This requires a
1/8” miniphono plug (not included).
19 AC Cord Plug the attached AC Cord into a standard outlet to power the unit.
20 RESET Press the RESET button to reset the unit to it’s default factory settings.
Operations
Docking an iPod
1. Locate the numbered Bracket that fits the iPod that will be docked.
Each included Bracket has a number on it, indicating which iPod model that
bracket is compatible with. See the separate bracket chart page to identify which
bracket is needed.
2. Snap the Bracket into place over the iPod connector in the Docking Station.
All Brackets will only fit one way onto the Dock.
When inserting an iPod nano (first or second generation), slide the Dock
connection on the unit so that it matches the opening on the iPod nano (first or
second generation).
3. Connect the iPod to the iPod connector inside the Docking Station.
Once an iPod is connected to the Docking Station, the unit will charge the docked
iPod.
Playing an iPod
1. Dock an iPod onto the unit.
2. Press the Power Button to turn the unit on.
3. Press the Function Button to switch the unit to iPod mode.
4. Press the Play/Pause Button to play and pause the docked iPod.

Operations
Setting the Clock
a. Press and hold the CLK SET button. The TIME symbol will begin flashing on the LCD
display.
b. While holding the CLK SET button press the HOUR and MINUTE buttons to adjust the
hour and minute.
c. When the correct time is set, release the CLK SET button to set the designated time.
• To switch the clock to 12 or 24 hour time, press and hold the FUNCTION button in Power
off mode. When the display flashes “12Hr”, press the FUNCTION button again to switch to
“24Hr”.
Setting the Alarm
a. Press and hold the AL1 or AL2 button. The ALARM symbol will begin flashing on the LCD
display.
b. While holding the AL1 or AL2 button press the HOUR and MINUTE buttons to adjust the
hour and minute.
c. When the correct time is set, release the AL1 or AL2 button to set the designated alarm time.
d. Press the AL1 or AL2 button to change the alarm source between iPod, Radio, and Buzzer.
• After the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE button to delay the alarm for an additional 9
minutes, or press the Power button to turn the alarm off.
Tuning the Radio
a. With the unit powered on, press the function button until the unit is in Radio mode.
• The word “RADIO” will appear on the LCD Display when the unit is in Radio mode.
b. Press the STOP/BAND button to switch between AM and FM radio.
c. Use the TUNING dial to change the radio frequency.
• Adjust the FM Wire Antenna to improve FM reception. The AM antenna is built into the
player, so to improve AM reception adjust the position the unit.
Connecting other Digital Audio Devices
a. Connect an audio device to the LINE IN input.
b. Press the FUNCTION button to set the unit to AUX mode, as indicated by the LCD Display.
c. The audio device will now play through the speakers of the unit.
