Your Blu-ray Player is designed and manufactured to operate within defined  
design limits. Misuse may result in electric shock or fire. To prevent your Blu-ray  
Player from being damaged, the following instructions should be observed for  
the installation, use, and maintenance of your Blu-ray Player. Read the following  
safety instructions before operating your Blu-ray Player. Keep these instructions  
in a safe place for future reference.  
Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when  
unused for long periods of time.  
Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing  
is required when the apparatus has been damaged in  
any way, such as when the power-supply cord or plug is  
damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen  
into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to  
rain or moisture, does not operate normally or has been  
dropped.  
To reduce the risk of electric shock or component  
damage, switch off the power before connecting other  
components to your Blu-ray Player.

Unplug the power cord before cleaning your Blu-ray  
Player.  
When moving your Blu-ray Player from an area of  
low temperature to an area of high temperature,  
condensation may form in the housing. Wait before  
turning on your Blu-ray Player to avoid causing fire,  
electric shock, or component damage.  
Follow all instructions.  
Do not use this apparatus near water.  
Clean only with a dry cloth.  
Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in  
accordance with the manufacturers instructions.  
A distance of at least three feet should be maintained  
between your Blu-ray Player and any heat source, such  
as a radiator, heater, oven, amplifier etc. Do not install  
your Blu-ray Player close to smoke. Operating your Blu-ray  
Player close to smoke or moisture may cause fire or  
electric shock.  
Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators,  
heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including  
amplifiers) that produce heat.  
Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or  
grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades  
and a third grounding prong.The wide blade or the third  
prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plug  
does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for  
replacement of the obsolete outlet.  
Slots and openings in the back and bottom of the  
cabinet are provided for ventilation.To ensure reliable  
operation of your Blu-ray Player and to protect it from  
overheating, be sure these openings are not blocked or  
covered. Do not place your Blu-ray Player in a bookcase  
or cabinet unless proper ventilation is provided.  
Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched,  
particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the  
point where they exit from the apparatus.  
Never push any object into the slots and openings on  
your Blu-ray Player cabinet. Do not place any objects on  
the top of your Blu-ray Player. Doing so could short circuit  
parts causing a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquids  
on your Blu-ray Player.  
Only use attachments/accessories specified by the  
manufacturer.  
Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket,  
or table specified by the manufacturer,or sold  
with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use

any smoke or odor becomes apparent, unplug the power  
cord and contact your dealer immediately. Do not try to  
repair your Blu-ray Player yourself.  
When connected to a power outlet, power is always  
flowing into your Blu-ray Player.To totally disconnect  
power, unplug the power cord.  
Avoid using dropped or damaged appliances. If your  
Blu-ray Player is dropped and the housing is damaged,  
the internal components may function abnormally.  
Unplug the power cord immediately and contact your  
dealer for repair. Continued use of your Blu-ray Player  
may cause fire or electric shock.  
The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol within an  
equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the  
presence of un-isolated, dangerous voltage within the  
inside of your Blu-ray Player that may be of sufficient  
magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to  
persons.  
Do not install your Blu-ray Player in an area with heavy  
dust or high humidity. Operating your Blu-ray Player in  
environments with heavy dust or high humidity may  
cause fire or electric shock.  
Do not overload power strips and extension cords.  
Overloading can result in fire or electric shock.  
Follow instructions for moving your Blu-ray Player.  
Ensure that the power cord and any other cables are  
unplugged before moving your Blu-ray Player.  
The wall socket should be installed near your Blu-ray  
Player and easily accessible.  
Only power of the marked voltage can be used for  
your Blu-ray Player. Any other voltage than the specified  
voltage may cause fire or electric shock.  
When unplugging your Blu-ray Player, hold the AC/DC  
power adapter, not the cord. Pulling on the power cord  
may damage the wires inside the cord and cause fire or  
electric shock. When your Blu-ray Player will not be used  
for an extended period of time, unplug the power cord.  
Do not touch the power cord during lightning.To avoid  
electric shock, avoid handling the power cord during  
electrical storms.  
To reduce risk of electric shock, do not touch the  
connector with wet hands.  
Unplug your Blu-ray Player during a lightning storm or  
when it will not be used for long period of time.This will  
protect your Blu-ray Player from damage due to power  
surges.  
Insert batteries in accordance with instructions. Incorrect  
polarities may cause the batteries to leak which can  
damage the remote control or injure the operator. Do not  
expose batteries to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire  
or the like.  
Do not attempt to repair or service your Blu-ray Player  
yourself. Opening or removing the back cover may  
expose you to high voltages, electric shock, and other  
hazards. If repair is required, contact your dealer and

You may experience discomfort while watching 3D  
content. You may feel symptoms of eye strain, vision  
fatigue, color or depth distortion, motion sickness,  
nausea, dizziness, disorientation, or other discomforts. If  
you experience any of these symptoms, stop watching  
and take a break for at least thirty minutes before  
resuming. If the symptoms are severe or continue even  
after you have stopped watching 3D content, consult  
a physician.  
This apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or  
splashing and no objects fill with liquids, such as vases,  
shall be placed on the apparatus.  
The mains plug or appliance coupler is used as the  
disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain  
readily operable.  
Take care to monitor children’s watching of 3D content.  
Children (including teenagers) may be more at risk of  
experiencing discomfort while watching 3D content  
and less likely to report symptoms. Monitor childrens  
3D content viewing and watch for signs of discomfort.

electric shock, do not perform any servicing other than  
that contained in the operating instructions unless you  
are qualified to do so.  
Some viewers may be susceptible to epileptic seizures  
or strokes when viewing 3D images, even if those  
conditions have not been previously diagnosed. If you  
or anyone in your family has a history of seizures or  
strokes, or if you have any other reason to think you or  
someone under your supervision may be susceptible to  
epileptic seizures or strokes, consult a physician before  
watching 3D content.

Before installing your new Blu-Ray Player, take a moment to  
inspect the package contents. Use the images below to ensure  
nothing is missing or damaged.  
Your Blu-ray player will easily connect to your TV. Before you  
begin the installation, ensure your TV has an available HDMI port.

To connect the player to the TV:

1. Ensure both the TV and the player are off.  
Your player must be connected to a power source in order to  
work. Connect the power cord to an electrical outlet as shown  
below:  
2. Connect the player and the TV using an HDMI cable. Ensure  
each end of the cable is securely connected.  
3. Turn the TV on.  
4. Turn the player on by pressing the Power button on the  
remote, or by touching the Power control on the front of the  
player.  
5. When you are ready to use the player, set the TVs input to  
the proper HDMI input. (Devices differ; see your TVs user  
manual for details on how to change the input source)

4. Turn your home audio system on.  
Your player has a RCA stereo audio port and a digital optical  
audio port. If your home audio system is equipped with a digital  
optical port, you can connect it to your player so you can enjoy  
theater-style surround sound.  
5. When you are ready to use the player, set your home audio  
systems input to stereo or optical. (Devices differ; see your  
audio systems user manual for details on how to change  
the input)  
Remember:You still need to connect the player to  
your television to view video. See Connecting the  
If the player is correctly connected, you will hear audio from your  
home audio system speakers when a disc is played.  
To connect the player to your home audio system:  
For best quality sound, connect your player to your  
home audio system using an HDMI cable. See the  
next page for instructions.

a RCA stereo cable or optical cable. See the Home Audio  
Connection Chart below.  
3. Turn the player on by pressing the Power button on the

audIo system wIth hdmI  
Your player can output high-definition digital audio via the HDMI  
port, enabling you to enjoy up of 7.1 channels of surround sound  
using your home audio system.  
To connect the player to your home audio system with HDMI:  
1. Ensure both your home audio system and the player are off.

To connect to a wired network:  
1. Ensure you have:

Your player is network-ready, and can be connected to your  
home network using the RJ45 (ethernet) connector on the back  
panel.  
An ethernet cable long enough to connect the player to  
your router or modem  
A router or modem with an available ethernet port  
A high-speed Internet connection  
Once you have connected to your home network and the  
Internet, you can use Internet Apps to deliver popular online  
content to your player.  
2. Connect your ethernet cable from the router or modem to  
the ethernet port on the back of the player.  
For the most reliable network performance, a wired  
connection is recommended.  
3. Turn on the player and your TV. Use the Left/Right Arrow  
buttons to highlight Settings and press OK.Then highlight  
Network and press OK.Then highlight Connection Type,  
press OK and select Ethernet.  
Ethernet cables are available from many retailers in  
lengths of up to 50 feet.

Connecting to a Wireless Network  
For the most reliable network performance, a wired  
Connecting to a Wireless Network with WiFi Protected Setup  
(WPS)  
connection is recommended.  
Ethernet cables are available from many retailers in  
lengths of up to 50 feet.  
To connect to a wireless network:  
1. Ensure you have:

Replacing Batteries  
1. Remove the battery cover.  
2. Insert two AAA batteries into the remote control. Make sure  
that the (+) and (-) symbols on the batteries match the (+)  
and (-) symbols inside the battery compartment.  
3. Replace the battery cover.  
Use only good quality batteries.  
Inserting the batteries incorrectly may result in  
cracking or leakage that may cause a fire or  
result in injury.  
Dispose of old or dead batteries in accordance  
with local hazardous waste regulations.

angles. Press to change viewing angle. (Supported discs  
only.)  
Subtitle: Open subtitle menu. Press again to close. See Changing  
the Subtitle Language on page 22. (Supported discs only.)  
Audio: Open audio menu. Press again to close. See Adjusting the  
Audio Settings on page 19. (Supported discs only.)  
A-B: Loop a segment of audio or video. Press at the beginning  
of the desired segment, and again at the end. Segment will  
loop until the REPEAT button is pressed. (Supported discs  
only.)  
Repeat: Change repeat mode (Supported discs only):  
All - Repeat all tracks in order.  
Random - Repeat all tracks randomly.  
Track - Repeat the currently playing track.  
Off - Resume normal playback.

USB Media Playback Controls  
Playing USB Photos and Audio  
When listening to USB audio, you can control the playback using  
buttons on the remote.  
To play USB media, you must first save your music or images onto  
a USB thumb drive.  
Remember:  
The USB thumb drive must be formatted as FAT32.  
Files on the USB thumb drive must end in a supported file  
extension (.mp3, .jpg, etc).

Adjusting the Player’s Settings

Your player is preset to work with most setups out of the box, but if  
you would like to adjust any of the players settings, you can use  
the on-screen menu to do so. The Settings menu is divided into  
these parts:  
1. From the Display menu, use the  
Up/Down Arrow buttons on the  
remote to highlight Output to  
TV and press OK.Then highlight  
Resolution and press OK.

2. Using the Arrow buttons, highlight the highest resolution your  
TV can display, then press OK.  
AdjuSting the diSPlAy SettingS  
Since your TV is connected to the player using HDMI, select  
HDMI Auto.The player will detect the best display resolution  
automatically.  
From the Display menu, you can adjust the way the player  
displays your video.  
To access the Display menu:  
You can select the HDMI Auto setting to allow the player to  
automatically detect the best display resolution for your TV.  
1. Turn on the player and your TV.  
Use the Arrow buttons on the  
remote to highlight Settings  
and press OK.  
Only HDMI connections can display 1080p video.  
2. Use the Arrow buttons on the  
remote to highlight Display  
Setting and press OK.

incorrect, you may need to adjust the aspect ratio of the player

Movies are recorded on film at a rate of 24 pictures,or frames,per  
second. Many of the movies on Blu-ray discs are formatted at this  
frame rate (24 frames/second). However, not all TVs can display  
this format.

Changing the PCM Downsampling Rate

This setting should be adjusted if your home audio receiver can  
process high-bitrate PCM signals over the Optical/SPDIF port.  
The settings in the Audio Menu configure the players digital  
audio outputs (HDMI or Optical/SPDIF).  
To access the Audio Menu:  
If you are unsure about how to adjust this setting, leave the  
PCM Downsampling rate at 48 kHz.

Adjusting the Digital Audio Output  
Activating or Deactivating Dynamic Range Control (DRC)  
This setting changes the type of digital audio data the player  
outputs over HDMI and Optical/SPDIF. Depending on your setup,  
you may need to try several settings.  
When activated, this setting normalizes the volume of a discs  
audio track. The loudest parts of the soundtrack will be quieter,  
and the quietest parts will be louder. This effect can be useful  
when viewing movies late at night,when others might be sleeping.  
1. From the Audio menu, use the  
Up/Down Arrow buttons on  
the remote to highlight Digital  
Audio Output and press OK.  
To use this setting, your players audio must be connected  
with HDMI or Optical/SPDIF, and digital output must be set to  
Bitstream or PCM.

connected to the USB port, the player can use its memory for  
BD-Live storage.  
Not all languages are available on all discs. Most discs have  
only one or two audio languages available.

Parts and Labor  
There will be no charge for parts or labor during the warranty period.  
Replacement parts and Products may be new or recertified at VIZIOs  
option and sole discretion.Replacement parts and Products are warranted  
for the remaining portion of the original warranty or for ninety (90) days  
from warranty service or replacement, whichever is greater.

Personal Data  
If your VIZIO product is capable of storing personal data and other  
information, ALL CONTENTS AND INFORMATION WILL BE DELETED IN THE  
COURSE OF SOME IN-HOMEANDALL SHIP-INWARANTY SERVICE.If this occurs,  
your product will be restored to you configured as originally purchased.  
You will be responsible for restoring all applicable data and passwords.  
Recovery and reinstallation of user data is not covered under this Limited  
Warranty. In order to protect your personal information,VIZIO recommends  
that you always clear all personal information from the unit before it is  
serviced, regardless of the servicer.  
Type of Service  
Defective Products must be sent to aVIZIO service center to obtain warranty  
service.VIZIO is not responsible for transportation costs to the service center,  
but VIZIO will cover return shipping to the customer. PRE-AUTHORIZATION IS  
REQUIRED BEFORE SENDING ANY PRODUCT TO A VIZIO SERVICE CENTER FOR  
WARRANTY SERVICE.  
Product returns to VIZIOs service centers must utilize either the original  
carton box and shipping material or packaging that affords an equal  
degree of protection. VIZIO Technical Support will provide instructions for  
packing and shipping the covered Product to the VIZIO service center.  
Limitations and Exclusions  
VIZIOs one-year limited warranty only covers defects in materials and  
workmanship.This warranty does not cover,for example:cosmetic damage,  
normal wear and tear, improper operation, improper voltage supply or  
power surges,signal issues,damages from shipping,acts of God,any type  
of customer misuse, modifications or adjustments, as well as installation  
and set-up issues or any repairs attempted by anyone other than by a

time of purchase as those restrictions may be adopted and/or changed  
by AACS after the production of this product. Furthermore, BD-ROM Mark  
and BD+ are additionally used as content protection systems for BD  
format, which imposes certain restrictions including playback restrictions  
for BD-ROM Mark and/or BD+ protected contents. To obtain additional
