Charge the battery before recording

High-definition Recording Format
This camera has two high-definition recording formats.
Select the one that suits your purpose.

software (for Macintosh), select MPEG-2 TS format.
• If you edit videos in MPEG-2 TS format on a computer, set [x.v.Color] to [OFF]
before the recording.
• You cannot copy videos of two formats to one DVD.

Read This First!
PC OPERATION
Make a backup of important recorded data
It is recommended to copy your important
recorded data to a DVD or other recording
media for storage. (੬ p. 33) JVC will not be
responsible for any lost data.

Refer to the PC OPERATION GUIDE in the
supplied CD-ROM.
! Load the provided CD-ROM into the PC.
After a moment, the [Software Setup] screen
appears. If the [Software Setup] screen does
not appear, double-click the CD-ROM icon
in [My Computer].
Make a trial recording
Before the actual recording of important data,
make a trial recording and play back the
recorded data to check that the video and
sound have been recorded correctly.
Reset the camera if it does not operate
correctly
This camera uses a microcomputer. Factors
such as background noise and interference
can prevent it from operating correctly. If the
camera does not operate correctly, reset the
camera.

Precautions on handling batteries
NOTE
Be sure to use the JVC BN-VF808U/
VF815U/VF823U battery packs.

Refer to the PC OPERATION GUIDE for the
system requirements of the provided software.
For details, refer to the User’s guide or Help of
the software.
If the camera is subjected to electrostatic
discharge, turn off the power before using it
again.

If a malfunction occurs, stop using the
camera immediately and consult your local
JVC dealer

If a problem occurs when using the microSD

card, take the card together with the camera
for repair. If one of them is not included,
the cause of the malfunction cannot be
diagnosed, and the camera cannot be
repaired.

Align the camera stud hole with the tripod stud,
and the mounting socket with the screw, and
then rotate the camera clockwise to mount it to
the tripod.

R Change the recording medium
When Using a microSD Card
The camera is programmed to record on the
built-in hard disk when it is shipped from the
factory.You can change the recording medium
to microSD card (AVCHD format only).
If you want to record to a microSD card, the
following 3 operations need to be performed.
Operations are confirmed on the following
microSD cards.
- Panasonic

This disc cannot be played in a normal DVD player.
Use one of the following methods to view the disc.

device. External noise and interference (from
a TV, a radio, etc.) might prevent it from
functioning properly.
To solve the problem, first follow the
instructions below.
If the problem is not solved, reset the

Realice una grabación de prueba
Antes de grabar los datos importantes, realice
una grabación de prueba y reproduzca los datos
grabados para comprobar si el vídeo y el sonido
se han grabado correctamente.
Reinicie la cámara si no funciona
correctamente
Esta cámara utiliza una microcomputadora.
Determinados factores, como el ruido de
fondo y las interferencias, pueden afectar a su
funcionamiento. Reinicie la cámara si no funciona

Cuando se utiliza una tarjeta microSD
La cámara está preajustada de fábrica para
grabar en el disco duro integrado. El soporte
de grabación se puede cambiar por una tarjeta
microSD (sólo formato AVCHD).
Para grabar en una tarjeta microSD, realice las
3 operaciones siguientes.
Se ha confirmado el funcionamiento con las
siguientes tarjetas microSD.

o pueden perderse datos ya grabados.

No extraiga el soporte de grabación ni realice
ninguna otra operación (por ejemplo, apagar la
alimentación) mientras se accede a los archivos.
Asimismo, asegúrese de utilizar el adaptador de
CA suministrado, ya que los datos del soporte de
grabación se pueden dañar si la batería se agota
durante la operación. Si los datos del soporte de
grabación se dañan, deberá formatear el soporte
de grabación para volver a usarlo.
Los archivos protegidos no se pueden
eliminar. Para eliminarlos, primero debe

Solución de problemas
La cámara es un dispositivo controlado por
una microcomputadora. El ruido externo y las
interferencias (de un televisor, una radio, etc.)
podrían impedir su correcto funcionamiento.
Para resolver el problema, siga primero las
instrucciones indicadas abajo.
Si no se resuelve el problema, reinicie la
cámara.
Si el problema persiste, consulte con su
distribuidor JVC más próximo.
