bottle warmer, and a food steamer all in one. It enables you to safely and  
quickly heat baby bottles and jars of baby food, to keep them warm, to  
disinfect baby bottles and small objects, and to steam all kinds of vegetables  
and fruit.The unique design fits all bottles and jars of baby food and the  
temperature control system ensures the highest safety standards.

Important information  
Please read these instructions carefully before using the 3-in-1 Steaming  
Centre, and keep them for future reference.  
Safety precautions  
• Before connecting the appliance to the mains power supply, check that  
the voltage indicated on the specification plate (underneath the base)  
corresponds to the local mains voltage.  
• Do not expose the appliance to extreme heat or light (for example direct  
sunlight).  
To prevent electric shocks, do not open the base.  
• Never use the base without water in it.  
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use the handles.  
• Do not move the base when it contains hot water.  
• Do not immerse the base, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.  
All non-electric product parts can be rinsed in water.  
• The 3-in-1 Steaming Centre is not intended for use by young children or  
infirm persons without supervision.  
• Close supervision is necessary when the unit is used with children  
around.  
Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with  
the appliance.  
• Do not let the mains cable hang over the edge of a table or counter.  
• Do not place the appliance on a hot surface or in a heated oven.  
Test food on the back of your hand before serving to ensure it is at a safe  
temperature for your baby.  
• Only use baby bottles that have been approved for boiling.  
• Only use the 3-in-1 Steaming Centre when the ambient temperature is  
between + 10ºC and + 35ºC.  
• For hygienic reasons, you should change the water in the base frequently.  
• Cleaning instructions are given in the ‘Maintenance’ section.  
• Food should not be heated for too long.

Installation  
1 Before connecting the Philips 3-in-1 Steaming Centre to the mains, check  
that the mains supply is 220-240V AC.  
2 Place the Steaming Centre out of reach of children and on a dry, non-slip,  
horizontal surface.  
3 Unreel the required length of cable from the cable holder (8) and plug  
the appliance into the mains.  
> The indicator LED (9) will light up green.The Steaming Centre is now in  
Standby mode but is not actually heating. Heating is only activated when  
the Control knob (7) is pressed and the desired heating function is  
selected.  
Operation  
Temperatures overview  
Babies usually like their milk and food to be at a temperature of 37ºC.  
The Control knob (7) enables you to set the correct food temperature.  
The setting depends on the amount, consistency, and current temperature  
of the milk or food.

Heating baby bottles  
1 Using the measuring cup (11), pour 20 ml of water into the water  
reservoir (5).  
2 Remove the lid (1) from the cover (13) and place the cover on the base  
(10).  
3 Place the bottle on the protective grid (4) in the base (10).  
4 Look up the desired setting in the Temperatures overview on page 6.  
The setting depends on the amount of milk in the bottle and the current  
bottle temperature.  
5 Press and turn the Control knob (7) to the desired setting.  
> The indicator LED (9) will light up red and you will hear a beep to  
indicate that heating has started.

> Heating will take up to about 5 minutes, depending on the quantity and  
temperature of the milk.  
> When the milk has reached the right temperature, you will hear

6 Remove the bottle from the base and unplug the mains cable.  
Note:Always check that the contents of the bottle are at the correct  
temperature by testing some of the back on your hand.  
Heating jars of baby food  
1 Using the measuring cup (11), pour 20 ml of water into the water  
reservoir (5).  
2 Place the jar (max 150 grams) on the protective grid (4) in the base (10).  
3 Place the cover (13) on the base (10).  
4 Press and turn the Control knob (7) to

Notes:  
– Do not lift the cover (13) during heating.  
To distribute the heat better, stir the contents of the jar after heating it.  
– Always check that the contents of the jar are at the correct temperature by  
testing some on the back of your hand.  
Keeping bottles and jars warm  
You can also use the 3-in-1 Steaming Centre to keep bottles and jars warm  
for a short time. After heating it up, simply place the bottle or jar on the  
protective grid (4) in the base (10) and place the cover (13) on the base.  
The cover will retain the heat and keep the bottle or jar warm for a time.  
For microbiological and hygienic reasons, baby food should never be kept  
warm for longer than one hour.  
Sterilizing  
With the container (3), you can use the 3-in-1 Steaming Centre to sterilize  
bottles and small objects like rubber teats and small toys.The Steaming  
Centre disinfects the objects completely by destroying all harmful bacteria.  
Notes:  
– This sterilizer does not sterilize up to clinical standards.  
– Before sterilizing, bottles and objects should first be cleaned.

Steaming  
Certain vegetables and fruit are perfect for babies aged 4 to 6 months and  
older if they are gently steamed. Steaming is the most healthy way of  
preparing food, retaining lots of vitamins and other healthy nutrients.  
The 3-in-1 Steaming Centre steams both hard and soft vegetables and fruit  
(from 50 grams up to 150 grams).The time needed to steam the food  
depends on the quantity, type, and temperature of the food.  
1 Using the measuring cup (11), pour 200 ml of water into the water  
reservoir (5).  
2 Cut up the vegetables or fruit into small pieces and place them in the  
steaming bowl (16). Place the steaming bowl on the base (10), and place  
the cover (13) on the steaming bowl.  
3 Press and turn the Control knob (7) to the desired (approximate)  
steaming time (15, 20, 25, or 30 minutes).

4 Remove the cover from the steaming bowl (16), take the steaming bowl  
off the base (10 ), and unplug the mains cable.  
Defrosting  
1 Using the measuring cup (11), pour 200 ml of water into the water  
reservoir (5).  
2 Put the frozen food into the steaming bowl (16) and place the cover (13)  
on the steaming bowl.  
3 Press and turn the Control knob (7) to the desired (approximate)  
defrosting time (15, 20, 25, or 30 minutes).

4 Remove the cover from the steaming bowl (16), take the steaming bowl  
off the base (10), and unplug the mains cable.  
Maintenance  
Cleaning  
• Always unplug the 3-in-1 Steaming Centre from the mains and allow it to  
cool down before cleaning it.  
• All parts of the 3-in-1 Steaming Centre except the base (10) can be  
washed in a dishwasher.  
• Do not immerse the base (10), cable (6), or plug in water or any other  
liquid. Clean the base (10) with a damp cloth.  
• Do not use cleaning or scouring agents.  
• Limescale (hard water deposits) should be removed.To do this, pour a  
solution of 1 part of vinegar in 4 parts of water (a total of about 60 ml)  
into the base (10), the container (3), or the steaming bowl (16).Wait until  
the limescale has dissolved completely.Then rinse out well and wipe with  
a damp cloth.  
Solving problems  
If a fault occurs, first check the points below. If you are unable to solve the  
problem by following these hints, please contact the helpline or consult your  
dealer. Under no circumstances should you try to repair the 3-in-1 Steaming  
Centre yourself; doing so will invalidate the guarantee.
