With just a few simple, easy-to-follow steps, you’ll be protecting and enhancing
your documents and projects:
Getting Started
Step 1:
Place item flat on the tray, aligned all the way to the left side. Guide the item
forward while slowly turning the handle clockwise.
Step 2:
After the item is completely visible on the output tray, trim the item by sliding
the blade across the material.
Step 3:
Gently lift up the cutter tray and slide it out. Use the cutter to trim the rest of the
item if necessary. For adhesive, remove the clear mask and peel off the
sticky-back item.
How to replace the cutter assembly:
Align the cutter sides with the machine. Slide in the cutter with the cut bar resting
on the spring arms on the side of the machine until it snaps and locks into place.
How to replace the cut blade:
Loosen and remove the screw in the cut bar with wrench. Remove colored
plastic insert and slide the old blade off the cut bar (safely discard old blade).

Carefully slide the NEW ProFinish Jr. blade onto clear bar. NOTE: The sharp
edge of the blade should be facing inward. Replace the colored plastic insert into
clear bar and secure screw with wrench. Verify smooth movement across the
entire length of the clear bar.
How to load the cartridge:
Open the lid to your ProFinish Jr. machine. Slide the cartridge into the tracks on

the sides of the machine with the exposed rolls of material facing the open lid
cover. Close the lid securely. Advance film and trim.

Helpful Hints
G
Make sure the cartridge is installed correctly prior to using the machine.
G
For best results, turn the handle slowly.
G
Arrange small items (without overlapping them) on the feed tray to
maximize your cartridge material use.
G
Use items that are 1/10 of an inch thick or less.
G
Test before using one-of-a-kind items.
G
Watch for the End-of-Roll marker 18 inches from the end of Laminate and
Magnet cartridges. To remove marker, simply peel it off the laminate.
Adhesive Supply:
G
For best results, apply pressure with finger or dull tool around the edge of the object prior to
removing the clear plastic film.
G
If there is excess adhesive around the edges of an item, simply wipe off with your fingers. The
adhesive comes right off without sticking to your hands.
G
Clean off adhesive buildup from the rollers with any adhesive remover or rubbing alcohol.
G
Acid-Free Permanent Adhesive is safe for scrapbooking. Acid-Free Repositionable Adhesive is
safe for windows, painted walls and doors, and it does not leave any residue on most surfaces.
Test on an inconspicuous area first.
Laminate Supply:
G
It is not recommended for one-of-a-kind items since the process is permanent
(use copies of photos and other valuable items).
G
Make sure there is adequate space between each item you are laminating. Overlapping will
cause the items to be laminated together.
G
Two-Sided Lamination allows you to cut right to the edge or completely through the item you are
protecting. It will not separate!
Magnet Supply:
G
To maximize the material when making a magnet frame, place a smaller item in the middle of the
frame. This way, even the magnet material in the middle of the frame is being used. Keep other
paper supplies and photos handy for magnetizing.
