the file, compress it, or modify it. If you do, you will
not be able to return the projector’s gamma value to
the factory setting.
Getting Started
About ImageDirector
Using ImageDirector you can adjust the projector’s
gamma value to your satisfaction from a computer
connected to the projector.
You can then save this adjusted value in a file on your
computer.

Operating system environment
The ImageDirector application can be used in any of
the following operating system environments.
Operating systems: Microsoft Windows 95,
Windows 98, Windows 98SE, Windows NT,
Windows 2000 Professional, Windows Me,
Windows XP Home Edition/Professional
CPU: MMX Pentium 166 MHz or above (Pentium II
300 MHz recommended)
Hard disk: 1 MB or above of free space
Memory: 32 MB or above
Other hardware requirements: RS-232C serial port,
CD-ROM drive, D-sub 9-pin cross (reverse) cable
Screen resolution: 640 × 480 or above, 65535 colors
or above
Note
Connect the computer and the projector only when the
power to both has been turned off. If you connect the
two with the power of either turned on, it may cause
damage to one or both.
1 Connect the projector and the computer.
Use a commercially available RS-232C cable (D-
sub 9-pin cross (reverse) cable), connecting the
projector’s REMOTE (RS-232C) connector and
the computer’s COM port.

When you first start ImageDirector it automatically
reads in the factory settings of the projector’s gamma
value. A data file containing the factory pre-set
gamma value that was read in is automatically
to the COM port

Preparations
Pin assignment for D-sub 9-pin and D-sub 25-pin
connectors are as follows.
3 Copy the “ImageDirector” folder to the directory
of your choice on your computer.

If you intend to uninstall ImageDirector after using it
to adjust the projector’s gamma value, be sure to
return the projector’s gamma value to the factory
setting before uninstalling the software (Reset). If you
uninstall the software without resetting the gamma
value, you won’t be able to reset the value afterwards.
For more details on resetting the gamma value, see
“Returning the Projector’s Gamma Value to the Factory
Setting (Reset),” on page 8 (GB).

• On the D-sub 25-pin connector, all pins not assigned
are reserved for future use.
• Longest guaranteed cable length: 15 meters (49 feet

Installing ImageDirector
Complete the following procedure to install
ImageDirector.
1 Insert the ImgD_100 CD-ROM in the computer’s
CD-ROM drive.
2 Double click “My Computer,” select the CD-
ROM icon, then select [Open] from the Right
click menu.
The contents of the CD-ROM are displayed.
(The display may differ, depending on your computer and its
OS.)

If the following message appears

1 Double click the ImageDirector icon
[ImageDirector.exe] created when you installed
ImageDirector.
If so, the data containing the projector’s gamma
value was not read in properly. After clicking the
[OK] button, close ImageDirector, check the
connection between the computer and the
projector, then restart ImageDirector.exe.
The dialog box shown below appears.
Closing ImageDirector
From the [FILE] menu, select [Exit]. Or, click the
Close button in the top right-hand corner of the
window.

2 From the drop down list, select the COM port to
which the projector is connected, then click [OK].
The projector’s gamma value is read in and saved
in a data file in the “ImageDirector” folder.
After closing ImageDirector disconnect the cable.

Notes
Select [Help] from the [HELP] menu and you can
read detailed explanations of the functions of
ImageDirector’s menus and buttons.
•Reading in the gamma value may take a little
time. While the value is being read in, do not
disconnect the cable, or shut off either the
projector or the computer. This may cause the
data stored in the projector to be corrupted.
•The data file ([VPL-VW12_serial number.ldt]
(For example, for a model VPL-VW12HT
projector with the serial number 0017416, the file
name would be [VPL-VW12_0017416.ldt].))
containing the factory set value read from the data
saved in the projector is necessary to reset the
projector’s gamma value to the factory value later
(Reset). Do not change the file name, or delete,
compress, or modify the file itself. If you do so,
you will not be able to return the projector’s

4 Setting
R/G/B buttons: Select the colors you want to

gamma value.
UNDO/REDO button: Clicking the [UNDO]
button cancels the just-completed adjustment,
and the button label switches to [REDO].
Clicking the [REDO] button retries the just-
cancelled adjustment, and the button label
switches back to [UNDO].
You can use your mouse to adjust the gamma value
that is displayed in the ImageDirector window on the
computer screen. The ImageDirector window is
displayed below.
Note
Buttons that are dimmed are not enabled.
Note
After the adjustment data is sent to the projector by
clicking the [SEND] button 8, you cannot use the
[UNDO] button to return to the previous setting.

Follow the procedures described below to make your
adjustments.
1 [FILE] menu
Used to save or call up the gamma value, and to close
ImageDirector.
Notes
• Make your adjustment by inputting a signal with a
gray scale in discernable stages from black (0 %) to
white (80 %), while the projector’s CONTRAST
setting in the PICTURE CTRL menu is set to
maximum, and the BRIGHT setting in the PICTURE
CTRL menu is set to 50.
• While the gamma value is being adjusted, do not
disconnect the cable, or shut off either the projector
or the computer. This may cause the data stored in
the projector to be corrupted.
2 [HELP] menu
Used to open Help.
3 Gamma value graph
Used to adjust the gamma value by dragging the
adjustment point 1 with your mouse.
Note
The gray area 3 on the right side of the gamma value
graph, is outside the range of the adjustment. Adjust
only the area inside the range 2.
1 Using the R/G/B buttons, select the color you
want to adjust.

2 Drag the adjustment point displayed on the
gamma value graph with your mouse to adjust the
gamma value.
Saving the Adjusted Gamma Value
in a File
You can save the adjusted gamma value data in a file,
and assign a name to the file. Follow the procedure
below.
1 Select [Save] from the [FILE] menu.
The following dialog box appears.
To cancel the just-completed adjustment
Click the [UNDO] button. The just-completed
adjustment is cancelled, and the button label
switches to [REDO]. (Clicking the [REDO] button
retries the just-cancelled adjustment, and the
button label switches back to [UNDO].)
Note
2 Enter the file name and select the location where
the file will be saved, then click the [Save] button.
The adjusted gamma value data is saved in a file.
After the adjustment data is sent to the projector
by clicking the [SEND] button, you cannot use the
[UNDO] button to return to the previous setting.
Calling Up the Saved Gamma Value
File
To smooth the curve
Click the [SMOOTH] button. The curve is
smoothed.
You can call up the saved gamma value file using
ImageDirector. Follow the procedure below.
3 Send the adjusted gamma value to the projector.
When you click the [SEND] button, the adjusted
gamma value is sent to the projector. After the
data transmission is complete, use the projector to
confirm the adjustment with a real image.
1 Select [Load] from the [FILE] menu.
The following dialog box appears.
Note
Do not disconnect the cable while the data is
being transferred.

2 Select the file to be read in, and click the [Open]
button.
If, by some chance, the computer where this file is
stored is damaged, to avoid losing the data, we
recommend preparing a floppy disk to backup the
saved data file.
The gamma value file data is read in, and
displayed on the gamma value graph.
To do so, follow the procedure outlined below.
Note
When the gamma value data is read from the file, the
gamma value set in the projector is not changed. To
change projector’s value to the gamma value read in,
click the [SEND] button after you read in the saved
gamma value file data.
1 Select [Backup] from the [FILE] menu.
The following dialog box appears.
Returning the Projector’s Gamma
Value to the Factory Setting (Reset)
Return the projector’s gamma value to the factory
setting. Follow the procedure below.
1 Click the [RESET] button.
The following dialog box appears.
2 If you are going to save the file on a floppy disk in
the floppy disk drive (A:\), insert a disk into the
drive and click the [Save] button.
A backup file is saved on the floppy disk.
If the following message appears
Insert a floppy disk into the drive and click the
[Retry] button.
2 If you want to reset the projector’s gamma value,
click the [Yes] button.
The gamma value is reset.
Backing Up the File Containing the
Factory Gamma Value
When you first start ImageDirector it automatically
reads in the factory settings of the projector’s gamma
value. A data file containing the factory pre-set
gamma value that was read in is automatically
generated and is stored in the “ImageDirector” folder
with the name “VPL-VW12_serial number.ldt.” (For
example, for a model VPL-VW12HT projector with
the serial number 0017416, the file name would be
[VPL-VW12_0017416.ldt].) This file is necessary to
return the projector’s gamma value to the factory
setting (Reset). Do not change the file name, delete
the file, compress it, or modify it. If you do, you will
not be able to return the projector’s gamma value to
the factory setting.
If you are saving the file somewhere other
than on a floppy disk
Specify the location in step 2, and click the [Save]
button.
Note
Even if you enter another file name in step 2, the file
name will still be set to [VPL-VW12_serial number.
ldt]. Do not change this file name.
If the copy of the file containing the factory setting of
the projector’s gamma value is lost or deleted from
the “ImageDirector” folder, copy the backup file made
in the preceding process to the “ImageDirector”
folder.

Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting
If you experience problems with the computer or any other devices connected to the projector, please consult the
operating instructions of the device with the problem.

Installation
L’affectation des broches des connecteurs D-sub à

ImageDirector, vérifiez la connexion entre
l’ordinateur et le projecteur, puis redémarrez
ImageDirector.exe.
La boîte de dialogue ci-dessous apparaît.

Les boutons grisés ne sont pas activés.

Une fois que les données d’ajustement sont envoyées
au projecteur en cliquant sur le bouton [SEND] 8,
vous ne pouvez plus utiliser le bouton [UNDO] pour

3 Graphique de la valeur gamma
Permet d’ajuster la valeur gamma en faisant glisser le
point d’ajustement 1 avec la souris.
• Pendant l’ajustement de la valeur gamma, ne
débranchez pas le câble et n’éteignez ni le projecteur
ni l’ordinateur. Cela peut endommager les données
stockées dans le projecteur.
Remarque
La zone grise 3 du côté droit du graphique de la
valeur gamma est en dehors de la plage d’ajustement.
Ajustez uniquement la zone à l’intérieur de la plage
2.

Vous pouvez sauvegarder les données de la valeur
gamma ajustée dans un fichier et attribuer un nom à ce
fichier. Suivez la procédure ci-dessous.
1 Sélectionnez [Save] dans le menu [FILE].
La boîte de dialogue suivante apparaît.
Pour annuler le réglage que vous venez
d’effectuer
Cliquez sur le bouton [UNDO]. Le réglage que
vous venez d’effectuer est annulé et le libellé du
bouton devient [REDO]. (Cliquer sur le bouton
[REDO] réactive le réglage que vous venez
d’annuler et le libellé du bouton revient à
[UNDO].)
2 Saisissez le nom du fichier et sélectionnez
l’endroit où le fichier sera sauvegardé, puis
cliquez sur le bouton [Save].
Remarque
Les données de la valeur gamma ajustée sont
sauvegardées dans un fichier.
Une fois que les données d’ajustement sont
envoyées au projecteur en cliquant sur le bouton
[SEND], vous ne pouvez plus utiliser le bouton
[UNDO] pour revenir au réglage précédent.
Accès au fichier de la valeur gamma
sauvegardée
Pour lisser la courbe
Cliquez sur le bouton [SMOOTH]. La courbe est
lissée.
Vous pouvez accéder au fichier de la valeur gamma
ajustée avec ImageDirector. Suivez la procédure ci-
dessous.
3 Transmettez la valeur gamma ajustée au
projecteur.
1 Sélectionnez [Load] dans le menu [FILE].
Si vous cliquez sur le bouton [SEND], la valeur
gamma ajustée est transmise au projecteur. Une
fois la transmission des données terminée, utilisez
le projecteur pour confirmer l’ajustement avec une
image réelle.
La boîte de dialogue suivante apparaît.
Remarque
Ne débranchez pas le câble en cours de
transmission des données.

Die werkseitige Einstellung des Gamma-
Werts des Projektors
Einführung
Wenn Sie ImageDirector zum ersten Mal aufrufen,
wird automatisch die werkseitige Einstellung des
Gamma-Werts des Projektors eingelesen. Dabei wird
automatisch eine Datendatei erstellt, die den gerade
eingelesenen, werkseitig eingestellten Gamma-Wert
enthält. Diese Datei wird im Ordner “ImageDirector”
unter dem Namen “VPL-VW12_seriennummer.ldt”
gespeichert. Wenn zum Beispiel ein Projektor VPL-
VW12HT die Seriennummer 0017416 aufweist, erhält
die Datei den Namen [VPL-VW12_0017416.ldt].
Diese Datei benötigen Sie, um den Gamma-Wert des
Projektors auf die werkseitige Einstellung
zurückzusetzen (Reset). Sie dürfen die Datei daher
nicht umbenennen, löschen, komprimieren oder
modifizieren. Andernfalls können Sie den Gamma-
Wert des Projektors nicht auf die werkseitige
Einstellung zurücksetzen.
Wozu dient ImageDirector?
Mit Hilfe von ImageDirector können Sie den Gamma-
Wert Ihres Projektors über einen an den Projektor
angeschlossenen Computer ganz nach Bedarf
einstellen.
Diesen neu eingestellten Wert können·Cie dann in
einer Datei auf dem Computer speichern.

ImageDirector kann in den folgenden

Schalten Sie den Computer und den Projektor aus,

verbinden, können sie beschädigt werden.

Wenn Sie ImageDirector deinstallieren wollen,
nachdem Sie damit den Gamma-Wert des Projektors
eingestellt haben, müssen Sie den Gamma-Wert des
Projektors vor dem Deinstallieren der Software auf die
werkseitige Einstellung zurücksetzen (Reset). Wenn
Sie die Software deinstallieren, ohne zuvor den
Gamma-Wert zurückzusetzen, können Sie den Wert
später nicht mehr zurücksetzen.
Einzelheiten zum Zurücksetzen des Gamma-Werts finden Sie

Wenn beim Einlesen der Daten die
folgende Meldung erscheint

1 Doppelklicken Sie auf das ImageDirector-Symbol
[ImageDirector.exe], das beim Installieren von
ImageDirector angelegt wurde.
Diese Meldung bedeutet, daß die Gamma-
Wertdaten des Projektors nicht korrekt eingelesen
wurden. Klicken Sie auf [OK], beenden Sie
ImageDirector, überprüfen Sie die Verbindung
zwischen dem Computer und dem Projektor, und
starten Sie ImageDirector.exe neu.
Das unten abgebildete Dialogfeld erscheint.
Beenden von ImageDirector
Wählen Sie [Exit] im Menü [FILE]. Oder klicken Sie
auf die Schließschaltfläche oben rechts im Fenster.
Hinweis
2 Wählen Sie aus der Dropdown-Liste den COM-
Anschluß, mit dem der Projektor verbunden ist,
und klicken Sie auf [OK].
Lösen Sie das Kabel, nachdem Sie ImageDirector
beendet haben.
Der Gamma-Wert des Projektors wird eingelesen
und in einer Datendatei im Ordner
“ImageDirector” gespeichert.
So rufen Sie die Hilfedatei auf

Hinweise
• Das Einlesen des Gamma-Werts dauert

Kabel nicht, und schalten Sie auch den Projektor
und den Computer nicht aus, solange der Wert
eingelesen wird. Andernfalls werden die im
Projektor gespeicherten Daten möglicherweise
beschädigt.
• Die Datendatei ([VPL-VW12_seriennummer.ldt]
(z. B. [VPL-VW12_0017416.ldt] bei einem
Projektor VPL-VW12HT mit der Seriennummer
0017416)) mit dem werkseitig eingestellten
Gamma-Wert, der aus den im Projektor

Schaltfläche UNDO/REDO: Klicken Sie auf

Wenn Sie auf [REDO] klicken, wird die gerade
rückgängig gemachte Einstellung erneut

zu [UNDO].
Sie können den Gamma-Wert, der im ImageDirector-
Fenster am Computerbildschirm angezeigt wird, mit
der Maus ändern. Das ImageDirector-Fenster ist unten
abgebildet.

Grau dargestellte Schaltflächen stehen nicht zur
Verfügung.

auf den Maximalwert und die Einstellung HELLIGK

Gamma-Wert eingestellt wird. Andernfalls werden

1 Wählen Sie mit den Optionsfeldern R/G/B die

Farbe aus, die Sie einstellen wollen.
2 Ziehen Sie den Einstellpunkt im Gamma-

Datei speichern und diese benennen. Gehen Sie wie
unten erläutert vor.
1 Wählen Sie [Save] im Menü [FILE].

Klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche [SMOOTH]. Die
Kurve wird geglättet.
1 Wählen Sie [Load] im Menü [FILE].

3 Übertragen Sie den eingestellten Gamma-Wert an
den Projektor.
Wenn Sie auf die Schaltfläche [SEND] klicken,
wird der eingestellte Gamma-Wert an den

Datenübertragung überprüfen Sie das Ergebnis der
Einstellung anhand eines projizierten Bildes.
Hinweis
Lösen Sie während der Datenübertragung das
Kabel nicht.

Wert aus der Datei eingelesen wurde.

Sie können den Gamma-Wert des Projektors auf die
werkseitige Einstellung zurücksetzen. Gehen Sie wie
unten erläutert vor.
1 Klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche [RESET].
Das folgende Dialogfeld erscheint.
2 Wenn Sie die Datei auf einer Diskette im
Diskettenlaufwerk (A:\) speichern wollen, legen
Sie eine Diskette in das Laufwerk ein und klicken
auf [Save].
Auf der Diskette wird eine Sicherungskopie der
Datei angelegt.
2 Wenn Sie den Gamma-Wert des Projektors
zurücksetzen wollen, klicken Sie auf [Yes].
Der Gamma-Wert wird zurückgesetzt.
Wenn die folgende Meldung erscheint
Legen Sie eine Diskette in das Laufwerk ein, und
klicken Sie auf [Retry].

Wert
Wenn Sie ImageDirector zum ersten Mal aufrufen,
wird automatisch die werkseitige Einstellung des
Gamma-Werts des Projektors eingelesen. Dabei wird
automatisch eine Datendatei erstellt, die den gerade
eingelesenen, werkseitig eingestellten Gamma-Wert
enthält. Diese Datei wird im Ordner “ImageDirector”
unter dem Namen “VPL-VW12_seriennummer.ldt”
gespeichert. Wenn zum Beispiel ein Projektor VPL-
VW12HT die Seriennummer 0017416 aufweist, erhält
die Datei den Namen [VPL-VW12_0017416.ldt].
Diese Datei benötigen Sie, um den Gamma-Wert des
Projektors auf die werkseitige Einstellung
zurückzusetzen (Reset). Sie dürfen die Datei daher

Wenn die Datei an einem anderen Ort als
auf einer Diskette gespeichert werden soll
Geben Sie den Speicherort in Schritt 2 an, und
klicken Sie dann auf [Save].
Hinweis
Auch wenn Sie in Schritt 2 einen anderen Dateinamen
eingeben, erhält die Datei den Namen [VPL-
VW12_seriennummer.ldt]. Ändern Sie diesen
Dateinamen nicht.
Wenn die im Ordner “ImageDirector” gespeicherte
Kopie der Datei mit der werkseitigen Einstellung des
Gamma-Werts des Projektors verlorengeht oder
gelöscht wird, kopieren Sie die wie oben erläutert

Botones R/G/B: Seleccione los colores que desea
ajustar.

Botón SMOOTH: Suaviza la curva del valor de
gama.
Es posible ajustar mediante el ratón el valor de gama
que aparece en la ventana ImageDirector de la
pantalla del ordenador. A continuación se muestra la

Botón UNDO/REDO: Al hacer clic en el botón
[UNDO] se cancela el ajuste recién finalizado y

escala de grises en fases distinguibles de negro (0 %)

3 Gráfico del valor de gama
Permite ajustar el valor de gama arrastrando el punto
de ajuste 1 con el ratón.
• Mientras se ajusta el valor de gama, no desconecte el
cable ni apague el proyector ni el ordenador. De lo
contrario, podría dañar los datos almacenados en el
proyector.
Nota
El área gris 3 de la parte derecha del gráfico del
valor de gama está fuera del rango de ajuste. Ajuste
únicamente el área que se encuentra en el interior del
rango 2.

Puede guardar en un archivo los datos del valor de
gama ajustado y asignar un nombre al archivo. Lleve a
cabo el procedimiento siguiente.
1 Seleccione [Save] en el menú [FILE].
Aparecerá el siguiente cuadro de diálogo.
Para cancelar el ajuste recién finalizado
Haga clic en el botón [UNDO]. El ajuste recién
finalizado se cancela y la etiqueta del botón
cambia a [REDO]. (Al hacer clic en el botón
[REDO] se vuelve a realizar el ajuste recién
cancelado, y la etiqueta del botón vuelve a
cambiar a [UNDO].)
2 Escriba el nombre del archivo y seleccione la
ubicación en la que desea guardarlo; a
continuación, haga clic en el botón [Save].
El valor de gama ajustado se guardará en un
archivo.
Nota
Una vez que los datos del ajuste se envían al
proyector al hacer clic en el botón [SEND], no es
posible utilizar el botón [UNDO] para volver al
ajuste anterior.
Recuperación del archivo del valor
de gama guardado
Para suavizar la curva
Haga clic en el botón [SMOOTH]. La curva se
suaviza.
ImageDirector permite recuperar el valor de gama
guardado. Lleve a cabo el procedimiento siguiente.
3 Envíe el valor de gama ajustado al proyector.
Al hacer clic en el botón [SEND], el valor de
gama ajustado se envía al proyector. Una vez
finalizada la transmisión de datos, utilice el
proyector para confirmar el ajuste con una imagen
real.
1 Seleccione [Load] en el menú [FILE].
Aparecerá el siguiente cuadro de diálogo.

No desconecte el cable mientras se transfieren los

Se recomienda preparar un disquete para hacer una
copia de seguridad del archivo de datos guardado, por
si se dañase el ordenador en el que se encuentra
almacenado dicho archivo.
Se leerán los datos del archivo del valor de gama y
se mostrarán en el gráfico de dicho valor.
Para realizar una copia de seguridad, siga estos pasos.
Nota
Al leer los datos del valor de gama del archivo no se
modifica el valor de gama establecido en el proyector.
Para cambiar el valor del proyector al valor de gama
leído, haga clic en el botón [SEND] después de leer
los datos del archivo del valor de gama guardado.
1 Seleccione [Backup] en el menú [FILE].

Copia de seguridad del archivo que
contiene el valor de gama de fábrica
Cuando inicia por primera vez ImageDirector, éste lee
automáticamente el ajuste de fábrica del valor de
gama del proyector. Se genera automáticamente un
archivo de datos que contiene el valor de gama
preajustado de fábrica que se ha leído y, a
continuación, dicho archivo se almacena en la carpeta
“ImageDirector” con el nombre “VPL-VW12_número
de serie.ldt”. (Por ejemplo, para el modelo de
proyector VPL-VW12HT con el número de serie
0017416, el nombre de archivo sería [VPL-
VW12_0017416.ldt].) Este archivo es necesario para
devolver el valor de gama del proyector al ajuste de
fábrica (reajustar). No se debe cambiar el nombre del
archivo, suprimir el archivo, comprimirlo ni
modificarlo. Si lo hace, no podrá devolver el valor de
gama del proyector a su ajuste de fábrica.
Si desea guardar el archivo en algún otro
lugar que no sea un disquete
Especifique la ubicación en el paso 2 y haga clic
en el botón [Save].
Nota
Aunque introduzca otro nombre de archivo en el paso
2, el nombre de archivo seguirá siendo [VPL-
VW12_número de serie.ldt]. No cambie este nombre
de archivo.
Si la copia del archivo que contiene el ajuste de
fábrica del valor de gama del proyector se pierde o se
borra de la carpeta “ImageDirector”, copie en la
carpeta “ImageDirector” el archivo de copia de
seguridad creado en el proceso anterior.

[OK], chiudere ImageDirector, controllare il
collegamento tra il computer e il proiettore, quindi
riavviare ImageDirector.exe.

Salvataggio su file del valore della
gamma modificato
1 Selezionare il colore da regolare utilizzando i
pulsanti R/G/B.
È possibile salvare su un file i dati del valore della
gamma modificato ed assegnare un nome a tale file.
Procedere come segue.
2 Per regolare il valore della gamma, trascinare con
il mouse il punto di regolazione visualizzato sul
grafico del valore della gamma.
1 Selezionare [Save] dal menu [FILE].
Appare la finestra di dialogo illustrata di seguito.
Cancellazione della regolazione appena
effettuata
Fare clic sul pulsante [UNDO]. La regolazione
appena completata viene cancellata e la
definizione del pulsante cambia in [REDO].
Facendo clic sul pulsante [REDO] la regolazione
appena cancellata viene ripristinata e il pulsante
cambia in [UNDO].
2 Immettere il nome del file e selezionare la cartella
di collocazione in cui si desidera salvarlo, quindi
fare clic sul pulsante [Save].
I dati del valore della gamma modificato vengono
salvati in un file.
Nota
Richiamo del file del valore della
gamma salvato
Dopo avere inviato i dati di regolazione al
proiettore facendo clic sul pulsante [SEND], non è
più possibile utilizzare il pulsante [UNDO] per
tornare all’impostazione precedente.
Per richiamare il file del valore della gamma salvato,
utilizzare ImageDirector. Procedere come segue.

Fare clic sul pulsante [SMOOTH]. La curva viene
resa uniforme.

3 Inviare al proiettore il valore della gamma

conservato il file dovesse danneggiarsi, per evitare di
perdere i dati si consiglia di copiare su un dischetto
floppy il file salvato contenente i dati relativi al valore
della gamma.
Il file del valore della gamma viene aperto, letto e
visualizzato sul grafico del valore della gamma.
Nota
Per eseguire tale operazione, procedere come segue.
Durante la lettura del file di dati del valore della
gamma, il valore della gamma impostato sul proiettore
non cambia. Per cambiare il valore del proiettore nel
valore della gamma in corso di lettura, fare clic sul
pulsante [SEND] al termine della lettura del file di
dati del valore della gamma salvato.

准备工作
关于 ImageDirector
连接投影机和电脑
使用 ImageDirector 可以从与投影机所连接的电
脑上调节您所满意的投影机伽马值。
注意
可以将调整值存储在电脑的文件中。
仅当投影机和电脑电源关闭时将两者连接起来，若
电源打开时将其连接，可能会将它们损坏。
操作系统的环境
ImageDirector 可以应用于以下任何操作系统的环
境。
1 连接投影机和电脑。
用市售可使用的 RS-232C 电缆（D 副 9 芯十
字（反向）电缆），连接投影机的 REMOTE
（RS-232C）连接器和电脑的 COM 端口。
操作系统：Microsoft Windows 95、Windows

注意

亮度设定为 50 时，在识别段黑色（0 %）至白色
（80 %）的灰度区，对输入信号进行调节。
• 当调节伽马值时，请不要拆除电缆，或关闭投影机
或电脑的电源，否则可能会破坏存储在投影机上的
数据。
2 [HELP] 菜单
用于打开 Help（帮助）。
3 伽马值曲线图
用于用鼠标器拖曳调整点 1 以调整伽马值。
注意
伽马值曲线图右边的灰色区域 3，是调整区域以外
