flame near the battery or engine.
Never operate the power source unit if it has damaged lead wire or
clamps. Have the lead wire replaced by a qualified technician.
Wear complete eye and clothing protection when working with lead-acid
batteries.
Do not permit internal battery in the jump starter to freeze. Never charge a
frozen battery.

Warning: Failure to follow instructions may cause damage or an explosion.
Read entire instruction manual before use.
2.1
2.2
2.3
Turn ignition OFF before making cable connections.
Use in a well-ventilated area.
Keep clear of fan blades, belts, pulleys and other parts that may cause
injury.
2.4
Make sure the rotary power switch on the front panel is in the O (OFF)
position until clamps are connected to the vehicle battery. If plugged into a
110V AC wall outlet, disconnect.
2.5
2.6
2.7
To prevent sparking, NEVER allow clamps to touch together or to contact
the same piece of metal.
Clamp the red clamp (+) to the positive terminal of the battery. (For a
negative grounded system.)*
Clamp the black clamp (-) to an unpainted and unmoving part of the chas-
sis or engine block. The 3-digit display will show the voltage of the battery.
Do not connect clip to carburetor, fuel lines, or sheet-metal body parts.
Connect to a heavy gauge metal part of the frame or engine block.
2.8
2.9
If you have connected the clamps backwards, an audio alarm will sound.
DO NOT turn your jump starter on. This could cause serious damage.
Reverse the connections, and the audio alarm will stop.
If no audio alarm sounds, turn the rotary switch to the 12V position. The
clamps are now powered. Crank the engine. If the engine does not start
within 5 – 8 seconds, stop cranking and wait at least 1 minute before at-
tempting to start vehicle again. (This permits the battery to cool down.)
2.10 After the engine starts, turn the rotary switch to the O (OFF) position. Then
disconnect the black clamp (-) and then the red clamp (+) in that order.
Store the clamps in the compartments located on the sides of the case.
2.11 Recharge the jump starter as soon as possible after use.
NOTE: In the rare case of jump-starting a vehicle that has a positive-
grounded vehicle electrical system, connect the NEGATIVE black clamp
(-) to the negative terminal (-) of the vehicle battery. Then connect the
POSITIVE red clamp (+) to an unpainted and unmoving part of the vehicle
chassis or engine block. If you are unsure of the nature of the vehicle’s
electrical grounding system, check the owner’s manual of the vehicle. To
disconnect clamps, reverse order.

DIgITAL DISPLAY
The display can be used to indicate a battery’s voltage when connected to
a battery or the percentage of charge in the jump starter’s internal battery.
With the switch in the OFF position, connect the clamps to the vehicle’s
battery and its voltage is displayed. Turn the jump starter’s rotary switch
to 12V and the combination of both internal and external batteries are
shown.
To read the internal battery’s charge status: Press the display button to
read the percentage of charge left in the internal battery. A fully charged
battery will read 100%.

Charging of the internal battery could take up to 48 hours due to age and
condition of the battery. At full charge, the charger will automatically drop
into a float mode and maintain the battery at full charge without damaging
the battery. The jump starter can be left plugged into the 110V wall outlet
indefinitely to maintain full power.

STORAgE AND MAINTENANCE
IMPORTANT:
CHARgE IMMEDIATELY AfTER PURCHASE
KEEP fULLY CHARgED.
Charge the internal battery immediately upon purchase, every 30 days
and after every use.
All batteries are affected by temperature. The ideal storage temperature is
at 70 degrees Fahrenheit. The internal battery will gradually self-discharge
(lose power) over time, especially in warm environments. Leaving the
battery in a discharged state may result in permanent battery damage. To
ensure satisfactory performance and avoid permanent damage, charge
the internal battery every month.
When the jump starter is ON, the clamps are live and will produce arcing
or sparking if they come in contact with each other. To prevent accidental
arcing, always keep the clamps on the storage holders and the JUMP
START ON/OFF switch in the OFF position when not using it to jump start
a vehicle.
