Take extra care when using a professional
styler. To prevent hair damage, make sure
to use the correct temperature setting for
your hair type.
■ Create more styling surface than flat
metal plates so that more hair moves
against the heated surface rather than
rubbing against other hairs – the big-
gest cause of hair breakage and
split ends.
After approximately one hour, the unit will
automatically shut itself off. To reactivate
the unit, press the ON/OFF switch.

6. Take a small section of hair and pull
hair down and away from your scalp,
and hold it taut.
Straightening Your Hair
1. Hair should be dry and free of tangles
before using the styling iron.

Unplug the unit whenever it is not in use.
Allow it to cool, then store it out of reach
of children in a safe, dry location.
■ Make sure the unit is unplugged and
cool. Use a damp cloth to clean the
plates and the outside of the power
handle. No other maintenance of the
unit is required.
7. Starting at the roots, clamp hair firmly
between the plates and run the styler
down the entire hair strand, from root to
tip, in one smooth stroke. Do not hold it
in one area for a long period of time or
damage to hair may occur.
8. To create curves or flicks, rotate your
wrist to turn the iron in toward your
head or out away from your head as you
run the iron down the hair strand.
9. Repeat with all the sections of your hair,
working with the underneath layers first,
then the top and sides.

Press and hold the ON/OFF button until
the unit turns on and the LED lights up.

temperature dial. The ready light will
flash while the unit heats up, then glow
steadily when it has reached the

and clip the upper layers on top of
your head and out of the way. Work
with underneath layers first.
Never wrap the cord around the appliance,
since this will cause the cord to wear
prematurely and break, thus voiding
warranty. Handle the cord carefully and
avoid jerking, twisting, or straining it,
especially at plug connections.
■ If the supply cord is damaged, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
5. Test the styler on a small section of hair,
then adjust the temperature up or down
before styling the rest of your hair.
NOTE:
10. When you are finished styling, press
and hold the ON/OFF button to turn the
unit off, unplug it, and allow it to cool
before storing.
■ If you find that you need a higher
setting while straightening your hair,
simply adjust the temperature by
turing dial towards the "MAX" label.
■ While straightening you hair. If you find
that you need a lower setting, adjust
the temperature turning the dial towards
the "MIN" setting. Because the unit is
already hot, it may take a few minutes
to cool off.

et étirez-la bien droite en l’éloignant du
cuir chevelu.

Débranchez le fer chaque fois qu’il est
inutilisé. Laissez-le refroidir puis rangez-le
hors de la portée des enfants à un endroit
sûr et au sec.
■ Assurez-vous que l’appareil est bien
débranché et refroidi. Utilisez un linge
humide pour nettoyer les plaques et
le manche. Aucun autre entretien
n’est requis.
1. Les cheveux doivent être secs et
démêlés avant d’utiliser le fer.
7. En commençant par la racine, pincez la
mèche fermement entre les plaques et
faites glisser le fer jusqu’aux pointes, en
un mouvement continu. Ne maintenez
pas le fer au même endroit pendant
un long moment car vous risqueriez
d’abîmer les cheveux.
8. Pour recourber l’extrémité de la mèche
vers l’intérieur ou l’extérieur, tournez le
poignet vers l’intérieur ou l’extérieur en
arrivant au bout.
9. Répétez la même technique sur toutes
les mèches de cheveux, en commen-
çant par l’arrière de la tête, puis le des-
sus et enfin les côtés.
10.Lorsque vous avez terminé, appuyez sur
le bouton de mise en marche/arrêt et
maintenez-le enfoncé jusqu’à ce que le
fer s’éteigne. Débranchez le fer et lais-
sez-le refroidir avant de le ranger.
2. Branchez le fer à défriser dans une
prise électrique. Appuyez sur le bouton
de mise en marche/arrêt et main-
tenez-le enfoncé jusqu’à ce que le fer
se mette en marche et que le témoin
lumineux s’allume.
3. Ajustez la température au moyen du
bouton de réglage de température. Le
témoin lumineux clignote pendant que
le fer se réchauffe, puis reste allumé
lorsque le fer a atteint la température
sélectionnée.
4. Divisez les cheveux en sections faciles à
coiffer et fixez les sections supérieures
sur le dessus de la tête pour qu’elles ne
gênent pas. Étirez d’abord les sections
du dessous.
5. Faites un essai sur une petite mèche
puis augmentez ou diminuez la tem-
pérature du fer au besoin avant de
coiffer le reste de la tête.
N’enroulez jamais le cordon autour du fer
car ceci entraînera l’usure prématurée et le
bris du cordon, annulant ainsi la garantie.
Manipulez le cordon avec soin et évitez de
le tirer brusquement, de le tordre et de le
forcer, en particulier au niveau de la fiche.
■ Si le cordon de l’appareil est endom-
magé, il doit être remplacé par le fab-
ricant, un agent de service autorisé ou
une personne pareillement qualifiée afin
d’éviter tout risque de blessure.
REMARQUE :
APPAREIL BITENSION
■ À l’étranger, vérifiez quel est le courant
local avant d’utiliser l’appareil. Pour
brancher celui-ci à une prise de 240
volts, utilisez un adaptateur convenant à
la prise en question..
REMARQUE :
■ Si vous devez augmenter la température
du fer pendant que vous vous coiffez,
tournez simplement le bouton de
réglage vers «MAX».
■
Si vous devez diminuer la température du
fer pendant que vous vous coiffez, tournez
simplement le bouton vers «MIN». Puisque
le fer est déjà chaud, il lui faudra quelques
minutes pour refroidir.
