Important Safety Instructions  
This manual contains important safety and operating  
instructions.  
Operation Notes  
The green LED light and the cooling fan will come on  
to indicate batteries are charging. The light and the  
cooling fan will turn off when charging is complete.  
15 Minute  
IC3 Chargers  
Before using battery charger, read all instructions and  
cautionary markings on the battery charger, battery,  
and product using battery.  
When charging is complete, you may continue to  
trickle charge the batteries by leaving them in the  
charger. If you unplug the charger, remove the  
batteries.

Your incredible I-C3 rechargeable system charges  
either AA or AAA I-C3 batteries in 15 minutes  
or less. It can also NiMH or NiCd batteries overnight.  
The 23-038 charges up to two batteriesat a time, and  
the 23-039 charges up to four batteries.

To reduce risk of battery explosion, follow these  
instructions and those marked on the charger and  
battery.  
You will hear the cooling fan when the charger is  
operating (only when charging I-C3 batteries.)  
The batteries will become warm during charging. Use  
caution when handling.  
Your charger was designed for use with I-C3 15  
Minute Rechargeable Batteries. You will get optimum  
battery performance and the fastest charging with  
these batteries.

1. Place the batteries in charging pocket  
according to the polarity markings (+/ –  
). Insert the positive (+) end first, and  
then press down on the negative (–)  
flat end until the battery is securely in  
place.  
To reduce risk of injury, charge only I-C3, NiMH and  
NiCd rechargeable batteries. Other types of batteries  
may burst causing personal injury and damage.  
Regular rechargeable NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) or  
NiCd (Nickel Cadmium) AA or AAA size batteries may  
be used in this charger, but will need to charge  
overnight.

1. Place the batteries in charging pocket according to the polarity  
markings (+/ –). Insert the positive (+) end first, and then press down  
on the negative (–) flat end until the battery is securely in place.  
Never attempt to charge single-use alkaline or zinc  
carbon batteries.  
You can charge AA and AAA size batteries at the  
same time.  
2. Swing out the plug on the back of the  
charger, and then plug the charger into  
a standard wall outlet.  
Do not charge Rechargeable Alkaline (Renewal)  
batteries in this charger.  
2. Plug the small end of the adaptor cord into the top of the charger, and  
then plug the adaptor into a standard wall outlet.  
Do not charge I-C3 15 Minute Rechargeable  
Batteries and regular NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride)  
batteries at the same time.  
To charge in the car, plug the small end of the car adaptor cord into the  
top of the charger and plug the large end of the car adaptor into your  
car lighter power port.  
To reduce the risk of electric shock, unplug the charger  
from the outlet before cleaning. Never immerse the  
charger in water or any other liquid. Do not expose  
charger to rain or snow.  
I-C3 batteries gradually lose power when stored and  
not in use. For optimal performance, recharge prior to  
using.  
Never disassemble the charger or alter the plug. This  
may cause electric shock.  
You do not have to completely drain I-C3 batteries  
prior to recharging.  
Limited One Year Warranty  
This product is warranted by RadioShack against manufacturing defects in material and workmanship under normal use for one (1) year from the date of purchase from RadioShack company-owned stores  
and authorized RadioShack franchisees and dealers. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, RadioShack MAKES NO EXPRESS WARRANTIES AND ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THOSE OF  
MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THE WRITTEN LIMITED WARRANTIES CONTAINED HEREIN. EXCEPT AS  
PROVIDED HEREIN, RadioShack SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY TO CUSTOMER OR ANY OTHER PERSON OR ENTITY WITH RESPECT TO ANY LIABILITY, LOSS OR DAMAGE  
CAUSED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY BY USE OR PERFORMANCE OF THE PRODUCT OR ARISING OUT OF ANY BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY  
DAMAGES RESULTING FROM INCONVENIENCE, LOSS OF TIME, DATA, PROPERTY, REVENUE, OR PROFIT OR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, EVEN  
IF RadioShack HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.  
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.  
Troubleshooting  
In the event of a product defect during the warranty period, take the product and the RadioShack sales receipt as proof of purchase date to any RadioShack store. RadioShack will, at its option, unless  
otherwise provided by law: (a) correct the defect by product repair without charge for parts and labor; (b) replace the product with one of the same or similar design; or (c) refund the purchase price. All  
replaced parts and products, and products on which a refund is made, become the property of RadioShack. New or reconditioned parts and products may be used in the performance of warranty service.  
Repaired or replaced parts and products are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period. You will be charged for repair or replacement of the product made after the expiration of the warranty  
period.  
If the green light and/or the cooling fan do not turn on or if the green light flashes:  
The batteries may not be loaded properly. Reload the batteries, firmly pressing each battery down to the bottom of the  
charging pocket.  
This warranty does not cover: (a) damage or failure caused by or attributable to acts of God, abuse, accident, misuse, improper or abnormal usage, failure to follow instructions, improper installation or  
maintenance, alteration, lightning or other incidence of excess voltage or current; (b) any repairs other than those provided by a RadioShack Authorized Service Facility; (c) consumables such as fuses or  
batteries; (d) cosmetic damage; (e) transportation, shipping or insurance costs; or (f) costs of product removal, installation, set-up service adjustment or reinstallation.  
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state  
The batteries may be damaged. Discontinue use of these batteries.

The charger is outside of its operating temperature. If for example, you leave your charger inside a car during summer  
or winter, the charger temperature may fall outside this range. Allow charger to come to room temperature before re-  
starting.
