dedicated to producing high quality products for home audio and audio systems.
This manual contains features, setup recommendations and specifications for the M
Series WM-24 and WM-30 wall-mount speaker. It is recommend you thoroughly read

Break-in Period
Allow several hours of listening time to adequately break-in the M Series on-wall
speakers. As the speakers break-in, the driver suspension will loosen. The result of
break-in will be an increase in low frequency response, improved definition, and
increased clarity and detail.

Care and Cleaning
To maintain speaker appearance, we recommend wiping them down with a clean damp
soft cloth. To clean dust from the grille cloth, use a vacuum with a brush attachment.
Features
At the heart of the M Series speakers are proprietary aluminum woofers and midrange
drivers. This special aluminum cone material combines stiffness, low mass and self-
damping properties to allow uncolored presentation of the program material.
A powerful magnet, extended voice coil and bumped back plate give the bass/
midrange divers high excursion capability. This ensures accurate dynamic
reproduction. The drivers are shielded by a steel cup and additional magnet to
cancel any stray magnetic field that my cause interference with video equipment
such as tube televisions.
Steep acoustic slope crossovers are used to integrate drivers. The use of steep
crossover slopes allows high power handling, minimizes driver interaction
anomalies and will maximize the clarity of each driver in its respective frequency
band. A polyswitch, or current limiting device, is used in the crossover to prevent
damage to the tweeter if over-driven. This device is engineered to work 900%
faster than a fuse.
Sophisticated computer modeling and measurement techniques are used
extensively in the RBH speaker design process. Cabinets are constructed from
extruded aluminum. The cabinets also have a narrow profile to minimize cabinet
diffraction. The speakers virtually disappear leaving only a deep, wide sound stage
and pinpoint imaging.

System Setup
In order to extract the best possible sound from your speaker system, it is
important to determine where the speakers will sound best in your listening room.
Room reflections from the floor, ceiling and side walls influence the balance,
imaging and overall sonic quality at the listening position. Experiment with
speaker placement to determine which location offers the best overall sound. As
a general guide, use the room layout diagram on the next page and the following
descriptions listed below when setting up a home theater system. Some speakers
shown in the diagram may not always be applicable to your individual system.
The WM-24 and WM-30 are designed to be used with flat-panel TVs such as plasma
and LCD monitors. This will usually dictate placing the speakers on each side of
the TV, or either above or below if used as a center channel. The WM-24 and WM-30
speakers sound best when placed with the speaker’s back against a wall, using the
supplied mounting bracket.
Front Main Speakers
For surround sound applications, main front left and right channel speakers
should be mounted to the wall with the included brackets, and placed at or close
to ear level when seated. If using aftermarket brackets which allow the speaker
to swivel, angling the speakers inward towards the listening position may give a
more spacious and realistic sound stage.
Center Channel Speaker
The center channel speaker should be centered above or below the TV monitor in-
between both left and right main front speakers. The WM-24 and WM-30 speakers
may be placed in a horizontal (lying down) or vertical (standing) position.
Surround Speakers
Surround channel speakers should be placed behind and to the sides of the
listening position. The listening position should be centered between the
surround speakers.
Subwoofer
Placement of the subwoofer will largely determine quality, quantity, and
extension of the bass frequencies within your listening room. Bass frequencies
are reinforced by close room boundaries. Placing the subwoofer in a corner will
make the subwoofer sound louder and boost the very lowest frequencies. Placing
the subwoofer away from walls will provide the least reinforcement, making the
bass sound subjectively thinner than if the woofer were close to a wall. Good
results can usually be obtained by placing a subwoofer along a wall 1-3 feet from
a corner. Refer to your subwoofer’s owner’s manual and experiment with subwoofer
placement and the sub-amplifier controls to achieve the proper bass balance.

Mounting Bracket
Using the enclosed template, mark your
desired speaker location.
NOTE: the bracket is offset to allow for the
slide mount of the speaker onto the bracket.
The offset allows the speaker to be centered
when mounting is complete. If mounting in a
stud-less drywall location, use the enclosed
self-tapping drywall augers and screws.
Start the auger in the drywall location with
a few slight taps from a hammer, then screw
down snugly with a screwdriver. To mount
the bracket, hold the bracket in the desired
location and fasten with the included
screws. If you’re mounting the bracket to
surfaces other than drywall or hardwood,
we recommend you consult with a hardware
or construction professional to obtain the
best hardware for your application. RBH
recommends the use of the bubble-type
level to ensure correct positioning of your
speakers.
Four arrows in the picture point to four
screw holes which should be used to attach
the bracket to your mounting surface. The
elongated center hole in the bracket is
designed to allow the speaker wire to pass
through. The keyways indicated by the other two arrows show the locations where
the speaker mounting knobs will be inserted into the bracket.
TIP: Prior to actually mounting your speaker, you may want to assemble the mounting
knobs and bracket to the speaker to gain a better understanding of how the pieces work
together.
NOTE: When mounting in a vertical position, the speaker should always slide down
onto the bracket.

Speaker Mounting
To mount the speaker to the bracket, screw the supplied mounting knobs into the
holes shown below (screw mounts), then tighten with a flat blade screwdriver.
Attach the speaker wire observing polarity, and then fit the mounting knobs into
the speaker mount opening of the bracket (shown in the illustration on the previous
page. The speaker will mount centered when the mounting knobs are slid into place
on the bracket in the direction shown by the arrows in the illustration below.
TIP: Prior to actually mounting your speaker, you may want to assemble the
mounting knobs and bracket to the speaker to gain a better understanding of how
the pieces work together.
NOTE: When
mounting in a
vertical position,
the speaker should
always slide down
onto the bracket.
Both silver and
black grilles are
supplied in the
original shipping
box. Select the
grille which best
matches the décor
of your monitor
and the room and
