Introduction

The appliance is equipped with a built-in safety system that prevents the appliance from functioning

Important

Read these instructions for use carefully before using the appliance and save them for future

reference.

◗ Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the local mains voltage before

you connect the appliance.

◗ Do not use the appliance if the mains cord, the plug or other parts are damaged.

◗ If the mains cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Philips, a service centre authorised by

◗ Never immerse the motor unit in water or any other liquid, nor rinse it under the tap.

Only use a moist cloth to clean the motor unit.

◗ Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.

◗ Never let the appliance run unattended.

◗ Do not exceed the maximum level indicated on the accessories.

◗ Do not exceed the maximum quantities and processing times indicated in the table.

◗ If the blades get stuck, unplug the appliance before removing the ingredients that are blocking

the blades.

◗ Avoid touching the cutting edges of the blade units when cleaning them.They are very sharp

and you could easily cut your fingers on them.

◗ Never use the accessories to switch the appliance on and off.

◗ Always make sure the lid is properly closed and the measuring cup has been inserted

properly before you switch the appliance on.

◗ Make sure the blade unit is securely fastened to the blender jar before you assemble the jar

onto the motor unit.

◗ The appliance can only be switched on if the blender jar, the mill or the citrus press has been

correctly assembled onto the motor unit.

Electromagnetic fields (EMF)

This Philips appliance complies with all standards regarding electromagnetic fields (EMF). If

handled properly and in accordance with the instructions in this instruction manual, the appliance

is safe to use according to scientific evidence available today.

Built-in safety lock

This feature ensures that you can only switch the appliance on if the accesories have been placed on

the motor unit in the correct position.When the accessories have been assembled correctly, the

built-in safety lock will be unlocked.

Before first use

◗ Thoroughly clean the parts that will come in contact with food before you use the appliance

for the first time (see chapter 'Cleaning').

Using the appliance

Blender

◗ The blender is intended for:

Blending fluids, e.g. dairy products, sauces, fruit juices, soups, mixed drinks, shakes.

Mixing soft ingredients, e.g. pancake batter or mayonnaise.

Pureeing cooked ingredients, e.g. for making baby food.

Preparing the blender for use

1 Screw the blender blade unit anticlockwise onto the blender jar (fig. 2).

2 Mount the blender jar with the blade unit attached to it onto the motor unit and turn it

clockwise until it locks into position (fig. 3).

3 Put the ingredients in the blender jar.

Let hot ingredients cool down before putting them into the blender jar (max. temperature 80cC/175cF).

4 HR2074 only:fasten the lid on the jar by pressing it down (1) and turning it clockwise (2)

(fig. 4).

5 HR2067/HR2066/HR2064/HR2061 only: close the lid.

6 Insert the measuring cup into the lid (fig. 5).

7 To disassemble the blender, follow the instructions above in reverse order.

Using the blender

1 Put the mains plug in the wall socket.

2 Turn the control knob to the required speed setting or press the ice button (fig. 6).

See the blender table at the end of these instructions for use for the recommended quantities,

speed settings and processing times.

Never reach into the jar with your fingers or an object (e.g. a spatula) while the blender is

running.

Do not let the appliance run for more than 3 minutes at a time. If you have not finished

processing after 3 minutes, switch the appliance off for one minute before you let it run again.

3 Turn the control knob to the pulse setting several times if you want to process ingredients

very briefly.

Never use the pulse setting longer than a few seconds at a time.

4 Always switch the appliance off by setting the control knob to 0 before you open the lid.

Tips

◗ To prevent spillage, do not put more than 1.5 litres of liquid in the blender jar, especially

when you are processing at a high speed. Do not put more than 1 litre in the blender jar

when you are processing hot liquids or ingredients that tend to foam.

◗ You can use the opening in the lid to add ingredients while the motor is running (fig. 7).

◗ Do not process dry ingredients for more than 1 minute.

◗ Cut solid ingredients into smaller pieces before putting them in the blender jar. Do not

process a large quantity of solid ingredients at the same time. Process these ingredients in a

series of small batches instead.

◗ If you are not satisfied with the result when blending solid ingredients, switch the blender off

and use the pulse setting a few times to let the blender run briefly.You can also stir the

ingredients with a spatula (not while the blender is running!) or remove some of the

contents of the jar and process smaller amounts.

◗ To crush ice cubes put max. 5 cubes at a time in the jar and press the ice button a few times.

HR2074 only:The jar is made of glass and therefore breakable. Do not drop the jar on a hard

floor.Also avoid extreme thermal shocks. If the jar is very cold, rinse it well with lukewarm water

before pouring hot liquid into it. If the glass jar cracks, stop using it.

Filter (HR2074/HR2067/HR2066/HR2064 only)

HR2061:You can order the filter from your Philips dealer.

You can use the filter to obtain extra finely blended sauces, fresh fruit juices or cocktails.All pips and

skins will be caught in the filter.

Never fill the filter beyond its metal part.

Do not use the filter to process hot ingredients.

Preparing the filter for use

1 Put the filter in the blender jar (fig. 8).

Make sure the filter is properly fitted onto the bottom of the jar.

The grooves of the filter and the ribs inside the blender jar will help you put the filter in the right

position.

2 HR2067/HR2066/HR2064 only: close the lid.

3 HR2074 only: put the lid on the blender jar to fix the filter in its proper position. Fasten the

lid on the jar by pressing it down and turning it (fig. 9).

Make sure that the sieve in the lid is positioned in front of the spout of the jar to be able to pour

out liquids.

Using the filter

1 Put the ingredients in the filter through the opening in the lid.

Cut fruits into smaller pieces and soak dried pulses, such as soy beans, before processing them in the filter.

2 Add water or another liquid.

3 Put the measuring cup in the lid, set the control knob to the highest speed and let the

appliance run for max. 40 seconds.

4 Switch the appliance off. Pour out the drink through the spout of the blender jar (fig. 10).

Make sure the lid is closed and the measuring cup is in the lid.This prevents pulp and skins from

ending up in your drink.

5 For optimal results, put the jar with the remaining ingredients back onto the appliance,

without opening the lid, and let it run for a few more seconds.

6 Pour out the rest of the drink.

Tips

◗ Particularly when you are processing large quantities, we advise you not to put all the

ingredients in the filter at the same time. Start processing a small quantity, let the appliance

run for a moment, switch it off and then add another small quantity.

◗ To get the best result when making fruit juices and cocktails, add approx. 300ml water

(or another liquid if you are making e.g. cocktails) to 150g fruit.

◗ To make tomato juice, cut the tomatoes in four and drop the pieces through the opening in

the lid onto the rotating blades.

Mill (HR2067/HR2061 only)

The mill can be used for grinding and chopping ingredients such as peppercorns, sesame seeds, rice,

wheat, coconut flesh, nuts (shelled), coffee beans, soy beans, dried peas, cheese, breadcrumbs, etc.

Always process cloves, star anise and aniseed together with other ingredients. If processed

separately, these ingredients may attack the plastic materials of the appliance.

The mill is not suitable for chopping very hard ingredients like nutmeg and ice cubes.

Do not exceed the maximum level indicated on the mill beaker.

Preparing the mill for use

1 Put the ingredients in the mill beaker (fig. 11).

See the mill table at the end of these instructions for use for the recommended quantities and

processing times.

2 Screw the mill blade unit clockwise onto the mill beaker (fig. 12).

3 Turn the assembled mill upside down and screw it clockwise onto the motor unit (fig. 13).

Using the mill

1 We advise you to use the pulse setting or speed setting 5.

Never let the mill run for more than 30 seconds without interruption.

Citrus press (HR2066 only)

Preparing the citrus press for use

1 Put the gear unit of the citrus press in the bottom of juice jug (1) and turn it clockwise until

it snaps into position (2) (fig. 14).

2 Place the sieve in the juice jug. Push it down (1) and turn it clockwise until it snaps into

position (2) (fig. 15).

3 Place the cone onto the driving shaft in the centre of the sieve (fig. 16).

4 Assemble the citrus press onto the motor unit by turning it clockwise until it locks into

position (fig. 17).

Using the citrus press

1 First set the control knob to speed 1 and then press the citrus fruit onto the cone.

2 Stop pressing from time to time to remove the pulp from the sieve.

Do not exceed the level indication on the juice jug.

3 When you have finished pressing or when you want to remove pulp, switch the appliance off

and remove the juice jug with the sieve and cone on it by turning it anticlockwise.

4 To disassemble the citrus press, remove it from the motor unit by turning it anticlockwise.

Then remove the cone, the sieve and the gear unit.

Cleaning

◗ Always unplug the appliance before cleaning it.

Tips:

Cleaning the appliance and its parts is easiest immediately after use.

If necessary, the mesh of the filter may be cleaned with a very soft brush.

Always disassemble all removable parts before cleaning them.

Do not use abrasives, scourers, alcohol, etc.

◗ See the cleaning table at the end of these instructions for use for further instructions.

Quick-cleaning the blender jar

1 Fill the blender halfway with warm water and add a few drops of washing-up liquid.

2 Turn the control knob to the pulse setting a few times.

3 Detach the blender jar, empty it and rinse it under the tap.

Storage

◗ Store the mains cord by winding it round the reel in the bottom of the appliance (fig. 18).

Environment

◗ Do not throw the appliance away with the normal household waste at the end of its life, but

hand it in at an official collection point for recycling. By doing this you will help to preserve

the environment (fig. 19).

Recipes

Soy milk (HR2074/HR2067/HR2066/HR2064 only)

Ingredients:

80g dried soy beans

600ml water

1 Soak the soy beans for 4 hours before processing them.

2 Pour the soaked soy beans and the water in the filter. Blend for 30 seconds at the highest

speed setting.

Do not process more than 1 batch without interruption. Let the appliance cool down to room

temperature before continue processing.

3 Bring the soy milk to the boil in a pan, then add sugar and leave to simmer.

Ice-blended vanilla coffee

Ingredients:

150ml warm water

1.5 tbsp sugar

2 tbsp instant coffee

200g vanilla ice cream

10 ice cubes

1 Dissolve the coffee and sugar in water. Pour all ingredients (except the ice cubes) into the

blender.

2 Blend until you have obtained a smooth substance.

3 Drop the ice cubes through the opening in the lid while the motor is running.

Kiwi-strawberry smoothie

Ingredients:

200g peeled kiwi, cut in pieces of 3x3x3 cm

100g banana, cut into 1-cm slices, frozen

150ml pineapple juice

100g frozen strawberries

1 The strawberries should be used straight from the freezer.

2 Put the ingredients in the blender jar in the order mentioned above and blend until you have

obtained a smooth substance.

Tip: in order to gain an even thicker consistency you can also freeze the bananas.

If the appliance does not work or does not work properly, first check the list below. If the

problem is not mentioned in this list, the appliance probably has a defect. In that case we

advise you to take the appliance to your dealer or to an authorised Philips service centre.

Why doesn't the appliance work?

This appliance is equipped with a safety system.The appliance will

not work if the accessories have not been assembled properly

onto the motor unit or have not been assembled at all. Check

whether the accessories have been assembled properly (see the

various sections in these instructions for use). Switch off the

appliance first!

Can I clean all removable parts in the

dishwasher?

Yes, except the motor unit and the gear unit of the citrus press.

What does 'pulse' mean?

When you turn the control knob to the pulse setting, the

appliance will run at its highest speed as long as you keep the

knob in this position. Using the pulse setting is recommended if

you want to have more control over the processing jobs.

Can I pour boiling hot liquids into the

blender jar?

No, let hot liquids cool down to 80cC/175cF to avoid damaging

the jar.

Why does the motor produce an

unpleasant smell during processing?

It is very common for a new appliance to give off an unpleasant

smell or emit some smoke the first few times it is used.This

phenomenon will stop after you have used the appliance a

number of times.The appliance may also give off an unpleasant

smell or emit some smoke if it has been used too long. In this case

you have to switch the appliance off and let it cool down for

60 minutes.

Avant la première utilisation

Utilisation de l'appareil

Bol mélangeur

◗ Le bol mélangeur est destiné à:

Mélanger des ingrédients liquides, tels que des produits laitiers, sauces, jus de fruits, soupes,

cocktails et milk-shakes.

Mixer des préparations à consistance molle, telles que de la pâte à crêpes ou de la mayonnaise.

Réduire en purée des aliments cuits, pour préparer des repas pour bébés par exemple.

Préparation du bol mélangeur

1 Vissez l'ensemble lames sur le bol mélangeur dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d'une montre (fig.2).

2 Placez le bol mélangeur et l'ensemble lames sur le bloc moteur et faites tourner le bol dans

le sens des aiguilles d'une montre jusqu'à ce qu'il s'enclenche (fig. 3).

3 Placez les ingrédients dans le bol.

Laissez refroidir les aliments cuits avant de les placer dans le bol (température maximale: 80 cC).

4 HR2074 uniquement: fixez le couvercle sur le bol en exerçant une pression vers le bas (1),

puis en le vissant dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre (2) (fig. 4).

5 HR2067/HR2066/HR2064/HR2061 uniquement: fermez le couvercle.

6 Insérez la mesure graduée dans l'orifice du couvercle (fig. 5).

7 Pour démonter le bol mélangeur, suivez les instructions ci-dessus dans l'ordre inverse.

Utilisation du bol mélangeur

1 Branchez le cordon d'alimentation sur la prise secteur.

2 Réglez le bouton de commande sur la vitesse souhaitée ou appuyez sur le bouton ICE (fig. 6).

Reportez-vous au tableau relatif au bol mélangeur à la fin de ce mode d'emploi pour connaître les

quantités, vitesses et temps de préparation recommandés.

Ne mettez jamais vos doigts ou tout autre objet (par ex. une spatule) dans le bol lorsque le

mélangeur est en fonctionnement.

Ne faites pas fonctionner l'appareil pendant plus de 3 minutes sans interruption. Si vous n'avez

pas terminé, arrêtez l'appareil pendant une minute avant de continuer.

3 Réglez le bouton de commande sur la position Pulse à plusieurs reprises pour mixer des

ingrédients très brièvement.

N'utilisez jamais la fonction Pulse pendant plus de quelques secondes.

4 Arrêtez toujours l'appareil en réglant le bouton de commande sur 0 avant d'ouvrir le couvercle.

Conseils

◗ Pour éviter tout risque d'éclaboussure, ne versez jamais plus de 1,5 litre d'ingrédients

liquides dans le bol mélangeur, surtout si vous avez l'intention de les mixer à haute vitesse.

Réduisez cette quantité à 1 litre si vous préparez des ingrédients liquides chauds ou

susceptibles de mousser.

◗ Utilisez l'orifice du couvercle pour ajouter des ingrédients en cours de fonctionnement (fig. 7).

◗ Évitez de mixer des ingrédients secs pendant plus d'une minute.

◗ Coupez les aliments solides en morceaux avant de les placer dans le bol mélangeur. Si vous

devez mixer d'importantes quantités d'aliments, procédez par petites portions.

◗ Si vous n'êtes pas satisfait du résultat lorsque vous mixez des ingrédients solides, arrêtez le

mélangeur et utilisez plusieurs fois la fonction Pulse.Vous pouvez également mélanger les

ingrédients avec une spatule (jamais pendant le fonctionnement du mélangeur !) ou réduire

la quantité d'ingrédients dans le bol.

◗ Pour obtenir de la glace pilée, placez au maximum 5 glaçons dans le bol, puis appuyez

plusieurs fois sur le bouton ICE.

HR2074 uniquement : le bol est en verre et pourrait casser si vous le laissez tomber. Évitez

également les chocs thermiques si le bol est très froid, rincez-le à l'eau tiède avant d'y verser un

liquide chaud. N'utilisez jamais le bol en verre s'il présente des fissures.

Filtre (HR2074/HR2067/HR2066/HR2064 uniquement)

HR2061: vous pouvez vous procurer le filtre auprès de votre revendeur Philips.

Vous pouvez utiliser le filtre pour préparer des sauces plus onctueuses, des jus de fruits frais ou des

cocktails.Tous les pépins et peaux restent dans le filtre.

Ne remplissez jamais le filtre au-delà de la partie métallique.

N'utilisez jamais le filtre pour préparer des ingrédients chauds.

Préparation du filtre

1 Placez le filtre dans le bol mélangeur (fig. 8).

Assurez-vous que le filtre est correctement fixé au fond du bol.

Aidez-vous des rainures du filtre et des nervures du bol mélangeur pour placer le filtre dans la bonne position.

2 HR2067/HR2066/HR2064 uniquement: fermez le couvercle.

3 HR2074 uniquement:placez le couvercle sur le bol mélangeur pour maintenir le filtre dans la

bonne position. Exercez une pression sur le couvercle, puis vissez-le sur le bol mélangeur (fig. 9).

Assurez-vous que le filtre du couvercle se trouve en face du bec verseur pour pouvoir vider le bol

mélangeur.

Utilisation du filtre

1 Placez les ingrédients dans le filtre via l'orifice du couvercle.

Coupez les fruits en morceaux et faites tremper les légumineuses, comme les graines de soja, avant

de les placer dans le filtre.

2 Ajoutez de l'eau ou un autre liquide.

3 Insérez la mesure graduée dans l'orifice du couvercle, puis réglez le bouton de commande

sur la vitesse la plus élevée et faites fonctionner l'appareil pendant 40 secondes maximum.

4 Arrêtez l'appareil.Versez le jus par le bec verseur du bol mélangeur (fig. 10).

Assurez-vous que le couvercle est fermé et que la mesure graduée est insérée dans le couvercle

pour empêcher la pulpe et les peaux de se retrouver dans le jus.

5 Pour obtenir des résultats optimaux, replacez le bol mélangeur avec les ingrédients restants

sur l'appareil, sans ouvrir le couvercle, et faites-le fonctionner encore quelques secondes.

6 Versez ensuite le reste du jus.

Conseils

◗ Si vous devez presser de grandes quantités, il est recommandé de ne pas mettre tous les

ingrédients à la fois dans le filtre. Commencez par une petite portion, faites fonctionner

l'appareil pendant quelques instants, puis arrêtez-le et ajoutez une autre portion.

◗ Pour obtenir des jus de fruits et cocktails bien proportionnés, utilisez 300 ml d'eau (ou

d'autre liquide si vous préparez des cocktails) pour 150 g de fruits.

◗ Pour faire du jus de tomates, découpez les tomates en quatre et insérez les morceaux via

l'orifice du couvercle, directement sur les lames en mouvement.

Moulin (HR2067/HR2061 uniquement)

Le moulin vous permet de moudre ou hacher des grains de poivre, des graines de sésame, du riz,

des grains de blé, de la noix de coco, des noix, des grains de café, des graines de soja, des pois secs,

du fromage, de la chapelure, etc.

Hachez toujours les clous de girofle, l'anis étoilé et les graines d'anis avec d'autres ingrédients. Si

vous les hachez séparément, ils pourraient rayer le bol.

Le moulin n'est pas approprié pour hacher des ingrédients durs tels que de la muscade ou des

glaçons.

Ne dépassez jamais le niveau maximum indiqué sur le bol du moulin.

Préparation du moulin

1 Placez les ingrédients dans le bol du moulin (fig. 11).

Reportez-vous au tableau relatif au moulin à la fin de ce mode d'emploi pour connaître les quantités

et temps de préparation recommandés.

Utilisation du moulin

1 Il est recommandé d'utiliser la fonction Pulse ou la vitesse 5.

Ne faites jamais fonctionner le moulin pendant plus de 30 secondes sans interruption.

Presse-agrumes (HR2066 uniquement)

Préparation du presse-agrumes

1 Placez l'entraînement du presse-agrumes sous le réservoir (1), puis vissez-le dans le sens des

aiguilles d'une montre jusqu'à ce qu'il s'enclenche (2) (fig. 14).

2 Placez le filtre dans le réservoir. Exercez une pression vers le bas (1), puis vissez-le dans le

sens des aiguilles d'une montre jusqu'à ce qu'il s'enclenche (2) (fig. 15).

3 Placez le cône sur l'axe d'entraînement au centre du filtre (fig. 16).

4 Placez le presse-agrumes sur le bloc moteur, puis vissez-le dans le sens des aiguilles d'une

montre jusqu'à ce qu'il s'enclenche (fig. 17).

Utilisation du presse-agrumes

1 Réglez le bouton de commande sur la vitesse 1, puis pressez l'agrume sur le cône.

2 De temps à autre, arrêtez-vous de presser les agrumes pour retirer la pulpe du filtre.

Veillez à ne pas dépasser le niveau maximal indiqué sur le réservoir.

3 Lorsque vous avez terminé ou si vous souhaitez retirer la pulpe, arrêtez l'appareil et faites

tourner le réservoir (avec le filtre et le cône) dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d'une montre

pour le retirer.

4 Pour démonter le presse-agrumes, faites-le tourner dans le sens contraire des aiguilles d'une

montre pour le retirer du bloc moteur. Ensuite, retirez le cône, le filtre et l'entraînement.

Nettoyage

◗ Débranchez toujours l'appareil avant de le nettoyer.

Conseils:

Il est recommandé de nettoyer l'appareil et ses accessoires immédiatement après l'utilisation.

Si nécessaire, vous pouvez nettoyer le filtre avec une brosse douce.

Désassemblez toujours les pièces amovibles avant de les nettoyer.
