CONGRATULATIONS! You are the owner of a MR. COFFEE” Burr Mill.
This burr mill features nine grind settings, eight ounce whole bean capacity
and hidden cord storage.
Please read ALL of the instructions in this booklet carefully before you begin
to use this appliance. Proper care and maintenance will ensure the long life
of this appliance and trouble-free operation. Save these instructions and
refer to them often for cleaning and care tips.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and/or injury to persons,
including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE MACHINE.
2. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plugs or machine
in water or any other liquid.
3. Close adult supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by
or near children.
4. Turn control switch to OFF and unplug from outlet when not in use and before
cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning
the appliance.
5. Avoid contacting moving parts.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the
appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return this
appliance only to the nearest Authorized Service Center for examination,
repair or adjustment.
7. The use of accessory attachments not recommended for MR. COFFEE@ products
may cause hazards or injuries.
8. Do not use outdoors.
9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.

11. Do not place this appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner
or in a heated oven.
12. To disconnect, turn any control to OFF, then remove plug from wall outlet.

SPECIAL CORD SET INSTRUCTIONS
1. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
2. An extension cord may be purchased and used if care is exercised in its use.
3. If an extension cord is used, the marked electrical rating of the extension cord must be
at least 5 amps and 120 volts. The resulting extended cord must be arranged so that
it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children
or tripped over accidentally.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet
only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.
If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug
in any way.

2. Select grind setting while mill is running
3. Ground coffee chamber should always be in place when using this appliance
4. Do not leave unattended when grinding. The ground coffee chamber cannot hold the capacity
of the whole bean chamber. Be sure to shut machine off if ground coffee chamber is full.
5. Do not use the finest setting when grinding coffee for your automatic drip coffeemaker.
The finer grounds could cause overflow of the coffee basket.
6. To avoid over-heating the motor, do not grind more than one pound of beans (2 who/e
bean chambers fu//) without a break. Allow motor to cool to room temperature.
7. Flavored coffee beans will gum up the burrs and leave an oily residue when stored for
long periods of time. Remove all caked-on coffee parts from your grinder during cleaning.
Be sure to clean your burr mill more frequently when using flavored beans.

9. After using, open grinder to the coarsest setting and run empty to clear the path

TO MILL The Perfect GRIND
THE MR. COFFEE” burr mill features nine grinding adjustments from coarse to very fine.
The burr mill minimizes heat in the grinding process by using opposing burrs to crush
the whole beans to a uniform grind.
1. Fill the whole bean chamber with coffee beans and close the lid to maximize freshness.
2. Turn the ON/OFF Switch to ON. To achieve the best cup of coffee or espresso, grind only
the amount of coffee you will use immediately.
3. While machine is on, turn the whole bean chamber accordingly to set the rate of coffee
grind fineness (Figure 1).If you turn the coffee bean chamber to the right, the grind
will be coarser at each point. You will discover which setting best meets your personal
preference for making coffee.
4. Turn the mill OFF when you have ground the desired amount of beans.
5. When grinding is complete, pull the ground coffee chamber out and remove the lid
(Figure 2). Coffee can be easily poured from the chamber.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
To ensure optimal function and durability of your burr mill, follow these simple steps
to clean regularly. Clean before first use.
1. Always unplug your burr mill after use and before cleaning.
2. Turn the whole bean chamber to the right until it can be lifted off the base (Figure 3).
This will allow you to clean the grinding wheel.
3. Clean interior recesses with a soft brush (Figure 4). NOTE: Never use water or liquid
for cleaning the lower grinding section of this appliance.
4. Wipe the whole bean chamber, lid and the mill exterior with a damp cloth.
The ground coffee chamber and lid can be washed in mild detergent and water.
Do not immerse mill or whole bean chamber in water or any other liquid or place
in dishwasher, Use only non-abrasive cleaners to remove stains.

5. After completely drying, replace whole bean chamber. IMPORTANT: When replacing
whole bean chamber, screw on completely before setting grinding rate.
Turn chamber clockwise (as viewed from top), until it will not turn.
Fill with whole coffee beans for grinding and replace lid.
6. Replace ground coffee chamber and lid, making sure they snap securely into place.

CONSIGNES SPÉCIALES RELIÉES AU CORDON ÉLECTRIQUE
1. L’appareil est muni d’un cordon électrique court afin de réduire les risques d’entremêlement
ou de trébuchement.
2. Une rallonge électrique peut être achetée et utilisée à condition d’être attentif lors
de son utilisation.
3. En cas d’utilisation d’une rallonge électrique, la capacité nominale indiquée du câble
doit être au moins de 5 ampères et de 120 volts. Le cordon et la rallonge doivent être
placés de manière à ne pas pendre d’une table ou d’un comptoir car des enfants
pourraient le tirer ou y trébucher.
Cet appareil est équipé d’une fiche polarisée (une lame est plus large que /‘autre).
Pour réduire les risques de chocs électriques, cette fiche entre dans une prise
que d’un seul sens. Si la fiche n’entre pas entièrement dans la prise, veuillez

1. N’utiliser que des grains de café dans cet appareil.
2. Choisir le réglage de mouture pendant que le moulin marche.
3. Le logement de café moulu doit toujours être en place lors de l’utilisation de l’appareil.
4. Ne pas laisser sans surveillance pendant la mouture. Le logement de café moulu ne peut
pas contenir la capacité du logement des grains entiers, Il faut s’assurer de fermer l’appareil
si le logement de café moulu est plein.
5. Ne pas utiliser le réglage le plus fin pour moudre du café qui servira pour une cafetière à
filtre automatique. Les grains fins peuvent causer un débordement du panier à café.
6. Pour éviter de faire surchauffer le moteur, ne pas moudre plus d’une livre de grains
(l’équivalent de 2 chambres à grains entiers) sans faire une pause afin de permettre au
moteur de se refroidir à la température ambiante.
7. Les grains de café parfumés laissent des dépôts sur les fraises qui favorise la formation d’un
résidu huileux si on les emmagasine longtemps, Enlever les pièces encrassées de votre
moulin pendant le nettoyage. S’assurer de nettoyer le moulin à fraise plus souvent
lorsqu’on utilise des grains parfumés.
8. Nettoyer à tous les trois ou quatre usages.
9. Après l’usage, veuillez ouvrir le moulin au réglage le plus grossier et faire fonctionner à vide
pour assurer le passage du café.

très grossier jusqu’au très fin. Le moulin à fraise minimise la chaleur du procédé de mouture
en utilisant des fraises opposées afin de broyer les grains entiers en une mouture uniforme,
1. Remplir le logement de grains de café entiers et fermer bien le couvercle dans le but de
garder la fraîcheur.
2. Mettre le commutateur à <<ON>>. Afin d’obtenir la meilleure tasse de café ou d’espresso,
ne moudre que la quantité de grains qui sera utilisés immédiatement.
3. Lorsque la machine est en marche, tourner le logement de grains entiers d’après le réglage
de grosseur de la mouture (figure 1). En tournant le logement de grains de café dans le
sens anti-horaire, la mouture deviendra plus grossière à chaque point. Vous découvrirez
rapidement quel réglage satisfait vos exigences personnelles dans la préparation du café.
4. Mettre le moulin à <<OFF>> après avoir moulu la quantité appropriée de grains.
5. Après avoir moulu les grains, tirer le logement de café moulu vers l’extérieur et enlever
le couvercle (Figure2). On peut facilement verser le café hors du logement.

INSTRUCTIONS POUR LE NETTOYAGE
Pour assurer un fonctionnement approprié et une longue vie à votre moulin à fraise,
veuillez suivre ces étapes simples pour faciliter un nettoyage régulier.
1. Toujours débrancher le moulin à fraise après chaque usage et avant de le nettoyer.
2. Tourner le logement de grains entiers vers la droite jusqu’à ce qu’on puisse l’enlever
de la base (Figure 3). Ceci permettra de nettoyer la roue de mouture.
3. Nettoyer l’intérieur avec une brosse douce (Figure 4). NOTE: Ne jamais utiliser d’eau
ou de liquide pour nettoyer la section inférieure de mouture de cet appareil.
4. Essuyer la chambre à grains entiers, le couvercle et l’extérieur du moulin avec un linge
humide. On peut laver la chambre à café moulu et le couvercle avec de l’eau et un
détergent doux. Ne pas immerger le moulin ou la chambre à grains entiers dans l’eau
ou dans d’autres liquides ni les mettre dans le lave-vaisselle. Afin d’enlever les taches,
veuillez utiliser que des nettoyeurs non abrasifs.

5. Lorsque tout est bien sec, replacer le logement à grains entiers. IMPORTANT: Pour
replacer le logement à grains entiers, veuillez visser complètement
avant de procéder au réglage de mouture. Tourner le logement dans
le sens horaire (te/ que vu du dessus) jusqu’à ce qu’il ne tourne plus.
Remplir de grains de café entiers pour la mouture.
6. Replacer le logement à café moulu et le couvercle, en vous assurant qu’il se referme en place.
