SPECIAL NOTES ON LCD MONITORS  
POWERCORD  
The following symptoms are normal with LCD monitor and do not indicate a problem.  
Power Source:  
1.Make sure the power cord is the correct type that required in your area.  
2.This LCD monitor has a universal power supply that allows operation in either 100/120V  
AC or 220/240V AC voltage area(No user adjustment is required.)  
NOTES  
?? Due to the nature of the fluorescent light, the screen may flicker during initial use. Turn  
off the Power Switch and then turn it on again to make sure the flicker disappears. Or  
you can use of AUTO function.  
3.Connect the AC-power cord into your LCD monitor's External Adapter input socket, and  
then plug the other end of External adapter to LCD monitor’ s DC-power-input. The  
AC-power cord may be connected to either a wall power outlet or the power outlet socket  
on your PC, depending on the type of power cord supplied with your LCD monitor.  
CONTROLS AND CONNECTORS  
?? You may find slightly uneven brightness on the screen depending on the desktop  
pattern you use.  
?? The LCD screen has effective pixels of 99.99% or more. It may include blemishes of  
0.01% or less such as a missing pixel or a pixel lit all of the time.  
?? Due to the nature of the LCD screen, an afterimage of the previous screen may remain  
after switching the image,when the same image is displayed for hours. In this case, the  
screen is recovered slowly by changing the image or turning off the Power Switch for  
hours.  
VIDEO CABLE  
Connecting the Video Cable: the LCD monitor comes with a built-in video cable. Plug the  
signal cable's 15-pin connector into the computer is video port and tighten the two screws on  
the cable connector.  
Connecting the Power Cord: Plug the AC-power cord into the External Adapter. Then plug  
the DC-jack power cable into DC-IN Inlet.  
?? The life of the fluorescent light used in the LCD moniter is approximately 50,000 hours.  
Contact your dealer for replacement when the screen is dark, flickeing or not lighting  
up. Never attempt to replace it by yourself.  
Caution: If the AC outlet is not grounded, install the proper grounding adapter(not supplied).

Press the power switch to turn the monitor on or off. The other control knobs are located at  
front panel of the monitor. By changing these settings, the picture can be adjusted to your  
personal preferences.  
CHECKING THE CONTENTS OF THE PACKAGE

FRONT PANEL CONTROL  
HOW TO ADJUST A SETTING  
1.Press the MENU button to activate the OSD window. See figure 5.  
2.Press ? or? to select the desired function.  
?? Power Key:  
3.Press the MENU button to select the function that you want to adjust.  
4.Press? or? to change the settings of the current function.  
5.To exit and save, select the exit functions, or leave the monitor alone for 15 seconds. If you  
want to adjust any other function, repeat steps 2-4.  
Press this button to switch ON/OFF of monitor's power.  
?? MENU/Enter:  
Activates the OSD menu or function adjust confirm .

1.1 Contrast  
When OSD menu is in off status, press this button direct to activate the Auto  
Adjustment function.  
Adjust the picture contrast.  
1.2 Brightness  
The Auto Adjustment function is used to set the HPos,VPos, Clock and Focus

1.3 Colour Temp 9300/6500/User

The color temperature for 6500k is x =0.313,y =0.329 and 9300k is x =0.281,  
Y =0.311. It presents two different color sets on the screen. You can select

9300K or 6500K by pressing MENU Key. If the 9300K normal white or 6500K  
warmer white do not satisfy your desire, properly adjust R.G.B GAIN controls  
to obtain your optimum whiteness level.  
1.4 Colour Adjust  
?? Do not install the monitor in a location near heat sources such as radiators or air ducts,  
or in a place subject to direct sunlight, or excessive dust or mechanical vibration or  
shock.

?? Save the original shipping carton and packing materials, as they will come in handy if  
you ever have to ship your monitor.  
2. Picture  
?? For maximum protection, repackage your monitor as it was originally packed at the  
factory.  
2.1 H. Position  
Adjust the horizontal position of the picture.  
2.2 V. Position  
?? To keep the monitor looking new, periodically clean it with a soft cloth. Stubbrn stains  
may be removed with a cloth lightly dampened with a mild detergent solution. Never  
use strong solvents such as thinner, benzene, or abrasive cleaners, since these will  
damage the cabinet. As a safety precaution, always unplug the monitor before cleaning  
it.  
Adjust the vertical position of the picture.  
2.3 Phase  
Adjust the picture Focus.  
2.4 Clock  
Adjust the picture Clock.  
2.5 Sharpness

3.1Auto Adjust  
2.Press”AUTO”button(at front pane) about 2 seconds, the monitor will do all the adjustment  
automatically. You can adjust the image manually, If the screen has a flicker or blur, or not  
fit in the display  
Reset to original factory geometry setting  
3.2Auto Colour  
3.press ALT-F, and then X to exit from the Dos-Editor screen  
Reset to original factory color setting  
3.3Exit  
If the DOS-MODE characters still have distortion

That means your monitor parameter was in wrong resolution, please check if your  
VGA-CARD supports 720x400@70Hz  
Adjust the horizontal position of the menu.  
4.3 OSD V. Pos.  
In general, most of the Dos mode was set by VGA-CARD in resolution 720x400@70Hz,  
but minor was set in 640x400@70Hz  
Adjust the vertical position of the menu  
4.4 OSD Timer  
Adjust Menu appear Time.  
4.5 Exit

PLUG AND PLAY  
Plug & Play DDC1/2B Feature  
This monitor is equipped with VESA DDC1/2B capabilities according to the VESA DDC  
STANDARD. It allows the monitor to inform the host system of its identity, and depending  
on the level of DDC used, communicate additional information about its display capabilities.  
The communication channel is defined in two levels, DDC1 and DDC2B.  
5.1Signal Source  
In pout VGA or DVI.  
5.2 Mode Select  
640×400 and 720×400 of DOS mode.  
5.3 Reset  
Reset to original factory color and geometry setting.  
5.4 Volume  
Adjust the volume just.  
5.5 Exit

The DDC1 is a unidirectional data channel from the display to the host that continuously  
transmits EDID information. The DDC2B is a bidirectional data channel based on the I2C  
protocol. The host can request EDID information over the DDC2B channel.  
THIS MONITOR WILL APPEAR TO BE NON-FUNCTIONAL IF THERE IS NO  
VIDEO INPUT SIGNAL. IN ORDER FOR THIS MONITOR TO OPERATE  
OPERATE PROPERLY, THERE MUST BE A VIDEO INPUT SIGNAL.  
HOW TO OPTIMIZE THE DOS-MODE  
This monitor meets the Green monitor standards as set by the Video Electronics Standards  
Association(VESA) and/or the United States Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) and  
The Swedish Confederation Employees(NUTEK). This feature is designed to conserve  
electrical energy by reducing power consumption when there is no video-input signal present.  
1.Get the full screen pattern at MS-DOS mode, type in C:\>EDIT [press enter] You will be in  
the Dos-Editor screen

When there is no video input signal this monitor, following a time-out period, will  
hitting the CAPS LOCK key.

PHASE adjust the phase of the pixel clock signal. With a wrong phase adjustment the picture  
has horizontal disturbances in light picture.
