Led PCB replacement continued:
The ha rd pa rt is done, the rest is
ea sy! Pla c e new led PC B a ssembly
(pa rt #0007334) where the old one
wa s. Follow the sa me steps a s a bove,
but ba c kwa rds 6 to 1. Power up the
SWA1801z a nd led should light up.
C ongra tula tions, you just repla c ed a n
led PC B a ssembly...now go pla y some
shows!

Use the phillips hea d sc rewdriver to
remove one sc rew from the c enter of the
led PC B a ssembly.

Woofer replacement:
Follow steps 1-4 of led PC B repla c ement,

Woofer replacement continued:

Positive (solid yellow) a nd nega tive
(yellow a nd bla c k) c a bles a re still
a tta c hed to woofer termina ls.
This is wha t it looks like with the front
pa nel a nd woofer both removed. Pla c e
the new woofer (pa rt #0012184) where
the old one wa s. Follow the sa me steps
a s a bove, but ba c kwa rds 6 to 1, ma king
sure to keep the led PC B a ssembly c a ble
in front of the woofer. Power up the
SWA1801z a nd the new woofer should
now be pumping out glorious lows.
Awesome, you just repla c ed a n 18”
woofer!

Amp Assembly replacement:
Four sc rews need to be removed from
the a mplifier a ssembly using a 5mm
a llen wrenc h. The sc rews a re loc a ted
a t the top a nd bottom of the SWA1801z
(see following pic tures a nd further

The termina l for the nega tive (yellow a nd
bla c k) woofer c a ble is loc a ted towa rds
the bottom of the a mplifier a ssembly,
c lose to the tra nsformer. The c a ble must
be a tta c hed to the sa me termina l it wa s
removed from. Fa ilure to do so will result
in grea tly reduc ed power.

Three c a bles need to be removed from
the a mplifier a ssembly: (1) nega tive
(yellow a nd bla c k) c a ble, (2) positive
(solid yellow) c a ble, a nd (3) led PC B
c a ble. Do not forc e c a ble remova l or
c onnec tion, a lthough needle-nose pliers
ma y a id in gently removing the woofer
c a bles. Notic e their pla c ement, a s well
(see following 3 pic tures).
The termina l for the positive (solid yellow)
woofer c a ble is loc a ted nea r the c enter
of the a mplifier a ssembly, just a bove
the four c a pa c itors (dotted a bove). The
c a ble must be a tta c hed to the sa me
termina l it wa s removed from. Fa ilure
to do so will result in grea tly reduc ed
power.

The fa ulty a mplifier
Important:
8 a ssembly needs to be returned to LOUD
Tec hnologies. The a ddress should
be on the return shipping la bel tha t
wa s provided with the new a mplifier
a ssembly. If not, the return a ddress is a t
the top of this pa ge. Also, plea se write
the order number a nd servic e request
number (ex: 1046256-1203935) in big,
bla c k, bold numbers on the outside of
the box. This helps expedite the return.

with the white c a ble c losest to the edge
of the a mplifier a ssembly.

(pa rt #0016875) where the old one
wa s. Follow the sa me steps a s a bove,
but ba c kwa rds 6 to 1. Remove the
seria l number from the fa ulty a mplifier
a ssembly (a s shown in pic ture a bove)
a nd pla c e on the new a mplifier
a ssembly. Power up the SWA1801z a nd
relish in the fa c t tha t you just repla c ed
a n a mplifier a ssembly. Ha ts off to you for
a job well done!
