The LINK 1160 analog to digitalconverterprovides
an accurate means of converting analog NTSC or
PAL composite video to component serial digital
(SMPTE 259M). The 1160 takes advantage of the
latest integrated circuit technology to offer
outstanding performance.
The 1023 rear cell matches the 1160 for system
flexibility. The 1000 frame will accommodate digital,
analog, audio or video in the same frame. System
upgrade is made simple with the DigiFlex 1000
series products.
The DigiFlex 1160 is designed to reside in LINK's
1000-Series frame. This frame can house up to 11
modules of various types. For stand-alone
applications, theDigiFlexmodulesmaybemounted
in a small portable chassis for single module use,
model 7200. The 7200-Series “single-module
frame” features a modular power supply for
insertion of any Digiflex series front and rear
modules.
The input analog to digital converter features 2x
over-sampling. Pre-filtering to full CCIR-601
specification is accomplished in the digital domain.
Decodingishandledbyastate-of-the-artthree-line
adaptivecombwhicheliminatesthe"hangingdots"
associated with traditional comb filters. The 1160
utilizes 10 Bit processing.
