while brewing is in progress.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
IMPORTANT: Make sure the brewer is unplugged before cleaning
snaps off. The Funnel is dishwasher safe.
Cleaning Drip Tray & External Parts
Regular cleaning of the Brewer’s external com-
ponents is recommended using a damp lint-free
cloth only.
To replace it just snap it back onto the
K-Cup® Holder Assembly.
1. Never immerse the base unit in water or
other liquids. The Housing and other exter-
nal components may be cleaned with a
damp, non-abrasive, lint free cloth.
2. The Drip Tray can accumulate liquids. The
Drip Tray and Drip Tray Plate should be peri-
odically inspected and cleaned with a damp
soapy non-abrasive lint free cloth. The Drip
Tray and Drip Tray Plate should not be put
into the dishwasher. To remove the Drip Tray
Assembly, simply slide it toward you, keep-
ing it level at all times to avoid spilling.

3. Cleaning the Exit Needle
The Exit Needle is located on the inside bot-
tom of the K-Cup® Holder. Should a clog
arise due to coffee grinds, it can be cleaned
using a paper clip or similar tool. Remove
K-Cup® Holder and then remove the funnel,
insert the paper clip into the Needle to
loosen the clog and push it out. The K-Cup®
Holder is dishwasher safe. NOTE: The
®

The K-Cup® Holder Assembly is dishwasher
safe. To remove from the Brewer, open the
brewer by pressing the button. Grasp the
top of the K-Cup® Holder with one hand
while pushing up on the bottom of the
K-Cup® Holder from underneath with the

NOTE: Over time, discoloration, spotting or
staining may appear in the Hot Water Tank. This
is normal and will vary depending on the miner-
al content of the bottled or filtered water used
in the brewer and will not affect the operation
of the brewer.

To access the Hot Water Tank, press the PRESS
TO OPEN button and then lower the handle
completely, the water fill lid will pop open.

mark, place a ceramic cup on the drip tray.
Emptying the Hot Water Tank
1. Ensure that the water fill lid is closed.
2. Place a cup on the drip plate then press and
hold the brew button until all the water has
been dispensed. Note, there will be a delay of
4 - 5 seconds until water starts to dispense.
Step 3: Close the lid, and perform a brew into
the ceramic cup without adding a K-Cup®.
Step 4: Pour the contents of the ceramic cup
into the Hot Water Tank, careful the liquid will
be hot, close the lid. Start a brew but power off
the brewer just after it starts to dispense and
then allow it to sit for at least 30 minutes.
Storage
Empty the Hot Water Tank before storing and
take care to ensure that you store your Brewer
in a safe and frost free environment. It is
suggested to store your brewer in the upright
position. If you store the Brewer in a cold
environment, you run the risk of condensation
freezing inside the Brewer and causing damage.
When you prepare to use it after storage, we
recommend wiping the Hot Water Tank with a
damp lint-free cloth and running three cleansing
brews without a K-Cup®.
Step 5: After the prescribed period of time,
perform a brew without adding a K-Cup®. Empty
the contents of the ceramic cup into the sink ,
be careful as contents may be hot.
Step 6: Fill the Hot Water Tank with 8 ounces of
bottled water, close the water fill lid, place a
cup on the drip tray and perform a brew.
If your Brewer has been in an environment
below freezing, please be sure to let it warm to
room temperature for 2 hours before using.
Step 7: Repeat Step 6 three times using bottled
water (with no K-Cup in place) to cleanse the
brewer plumbing and get rid of any residual
taste from the vinegar.
De-Scaling Your Brewer
The brewer is now ready for normal use again.
Mineral content in bottled or filtered water
varies. Depending on the mineral content of the
water, calcium deposits or scale may build up in
your Brewer. Scale is non-toxic but left unat-
tended, it can hinder Brewer performance. De-
scaling your Brewer helps maintain the heating
element, and other internal parts of the Brewer
that come in contact with water.
Service
Beyond these recommended cleaning and
maintenance procedures this brewer is not user
serviceable, for service please refer to the
Warranty section in this guide.
The Brewer should be de-scaled every 3-6
months to ensure optimal performance or when
there are white deposits in the Hot Water Tank.
It is possible for calcium deposits to build up
faster, making it necessary to de-scale more
often.
Step 1: Make sure you have at least 8 ounces
of undiluted white vinegar on hand. You will also
need a 10 oz ceramic cup (do not use a paper
cup) and access to a sink.

TROUBLESHOOTING
SITUATION

Brewer does not
have power
• Plug Brewer into an independent outlet.
• Check to be sure that it is plugged in securely.
• Plug into a different outlet.
• Reset circuit breaker if necessary.
• Make sure that the Power Button has been turned on and is
illuminated.
Brewer will not brew
when used for the
first time
• If Brewer is cold/frozen, wait for at least two hours for it to reach
room temperature before powering on.
Brewer will not brew
• Check to make sure there is water in the Hot Water Tank.
• Place a cup on the drip tray plate.
• Check to be sure you are not using a clear, glass mug. Cup sensor
will not "read" the glass mug and the "Place Mug" light will flash.
Brewing a partial cup
• The Exit Needle may be clogged. (refer to page 3).
• Clean K-Cup Holder if necessary and rinse under faucet. (refer to page 3).
• Descale the Brewer (refer to page 4).
• If you have repeated the descale procedure on your Brewer two times
and the Brewer is still not brewing, contact Customer Service at
1-866-901-BREW (2739).
My brewer shuts off
automatically
• Check to make sure that there is a cup on the drip tray plate.
If any problems persist, contact Customer Service at 1-866-901-BREW (2739).

Keurig warrants that your Keurig Brewer will be
free of defects in materials or workmanship
under normal use for one year from the date of
purchase. It is recommended that you fill out
and return the warranty card enclosed with
your Brewer so that your purchase information
will be stored in our system. Keurig will, at its
option, repair or replace the Brewer without
charge upon its receipt of proof of the date of
purchase. If a replacement Brewer is necessary
to service this warranty, the replacement

costs for authorized returns. This warranty only
applies to brewers operated in the United
States and Canada. This warranty gives you
specific legal rights, and you may also have
other rights that vary from state to state and, in
the case of Canada, from Province to Province.

Keurig brewers are high quality appliances and,
with proper care, are intended to provide years
of satisfying performance. However, should the
need arise for warranty servicing, simply call
Keurig Customer Service at our toll free phone

not return your brewer for servicing without
first speaking to Keurig Customer Service to
obtain an Authorization to Return number (ATR).
Keurig Brewers returned without an ATR number
will be returned to the sender without servicing.

Une surcharge du circuit électrique avec plusieurs
appareils risque de nuire au fonctionnement de votre
cafetière. Si possible, celle-ci devrait être branchée
séparément des autres appareils, sur son propre
circuit électrique.
ATTENTION : Le godet K-CupMC est perforé par deux
aiguilles, une au-dessus du support à K-CupMC et
l’autre au fond du support à K-CupMC. Pour éviter
tout risque de blessure, ne pas mettre les doigts
dans le compartiment de la K-CupMC.
Choisissez un godet K-CupMC. Ne perforez pas le
godet K-CupMC et n’enlevez pas son couvercle
d’aluminium.

3. Nettoyage de l’aiguille de sortie
L’aiguille de sortie se trouve au fond du support à
K-CupMC. Si des grains de café l’obstruent, elle peut
être nettoyée à l’aide d’un trombone ou d’un
instrument similaire. Retirez le support à K-CupMC
puis retirez l’entonnoir, et insérez le trombone dans
l’aiguille de sortie pour la nettoyer et retirer ce qui
l’obstrue. Le support à K-CupMC peut être mis au
lave-vaisselle. REMARQUE : Il n’est pas nécessaire
de nettoyer l’aiguille d’entrée.
ATTENTION : Le godet K-CupMC est perforé par deux
aiguilles, une au-dessus du support à K-Cup et
l’autre au fond du support à K-Cup. Pour éviter tout
risque de blessure, ne pas mettre les doigts dans le
compartiment de la K-CupMC.

1. Nettoyage des pièces
L’assemblage du support à K-CupMC peut être mis
au lave-vaisselle. Pour l’enlever de la cafetière,
ouvrez la cafetière en appuyant sur le bouton.
Saisissez le dessus du support à K-CupMC d’une
main et poussez vers le haut sur le fond du sup-
port à K-CupMC de l’autre main jusqu’à ce qu’il se
libère. Après le nettoyage, enlignez le support à
K-CupMC avec l’ouverture en vous guidant sur les
deux entailles à l’avant et enclenchez-le en place.
Quand le nettoyage est terminé, réassemblez le support
à K-Cup et l’entonnoir et replacez-les dans la cafetière.
REMARQUE : Avec le temps, le réservoir d’eau
chaude peut se décolorer ou se tacher. C’est
normal. Cet effet varie selon la teneur en minéraux
de l’eau filtrée ou embouteillée utilisée dans la
cafetière et ne nuit en rien au bon fonctionnement
de l’appareil.

Pour avoir accès au réservoir d’eau chaude, appuyez
sur le bouton d’ouverture (PRESS TO OPEN) et
abaissez complètement la poignée. Le couvercle du
réservoir s’ouvrira. Examinez le réservoir et nettoyez-
le au besoin à l’aide d’un chiffon humide non
pelucheux. Quand vous aurez terminé, refermez le
couvercle.

2e étape : Remplissez le réservoir d’eau chaude avec
240 ml (8 oz) de vinaigre blanc non dilué, jusqu’à
l’indicateur de niveau plein (FILL LEVEL). Placez la
tasse en céramique sur le plateau à tasse.
Vidanger le réservoir d’eau chaude
1. Assurez-vous que le couvercle du réservoir est
fermé.
2. Placez une tasse sur le plateau à tasse et
appuyez sur le bouton d’infusion jusqu’à ce que
toute l’eau ait coulé. Remarque : Il y aura un
délai de 4 à 5 secondes avant que l’eau
commence à couler.
3e étape : Refermez le couvercle et lancez un cycle
d’infusion sans insérer de K-CupMC dans la
cafetière.
4e étape : Remettez le contenu de la tasse en
céramique dans le réservoir d’eau chaude. Attention,
le liquide est chaud. Refermez le couvercle. Lancez
un cycle d’infusion et éteignez la cafetière dés que le
liquide commence à couler. Laissez ensuite la
cafetière reposer pendant au moins 30 minutes.
Entreposage
Avant d’entreposer la cafetière, videz le réservoir
d’eau chaude et assurez-vous de placer la cafetière
à l’abri du gel. Il est suggéré d’entreposer la cafetière
en position verticale. Si vous entreposez votre
cafetière dans un lieu trop froid, la condensation qui
se forme à l’intérieur de la cafetière risque de geler
et d’endommager l’appareil. Avant que vous utilisiez
à nouveau la cafetière après l’avoir entreposée, nous
vous recommandons d’essuyer le réservoir d’eau
chaude à l’aide d’un chiffon humide non pelucheux
et d’effectuer trois infusions de rinçage sans
K-CupMC.
5e étape : Après le temps d’attente indiqué, lancez
un cycle d’infusion sans insérer de K-CupMC dans la
cafetière. Videz le contenu de la tasse en céramique
dans l’évier, en prenant garde de ne pas vous brûler
avec le liquide chaud.
6e étape : Remplissez le réservoir d’eau chaude avec
240 ml (8 oz) d’eau embouteillée, refermez le cou-
vercle, placez une tasse sur le plateau à tasse et
lancez un cycle d’infusion.
Si la cafetière a été placée dans un endroit où la
température était sous le point de congélation,
laissez-la au moins deux heures à la température
ambiante avant de l’utiliser.
7e étape : Répétez la 6e étape trois fois en utilisant
de l’eau embouteillée (sans insérer de K-Cup dans la
cafetière) pour rincer la tuyauterie de la cafetière et
éliminer tout goût résiduel de vinaigre.
Détartrage de votre cafetière
La teneur en minéraux de l’eau filtrée ou embouteillé
varie. Selon la teneur en minéraux de l’eau, il peut y
avoir accumulation de dépôts calcaires ou de tartre
dans votre cafetière. Le tartre n’est pas toxique, mais
s’il n’est pas enlevé, il peut nuire à la performance
de votre cafetière. Un détartrage de votre cafetière
aide à garder en bon état l’élément de chauffage et
les autres pièces internes qui touchent l’eau.
La cafetière est de nouveau prête à fonctionner
normalement.
Réparation
Au-delà de ces procédures recommandées pour le
nettoyage et l’entretien, la cafetière ne peut être
réparée par l’utilisateur. Pour une réparation,
veuillez vous reporter à la section Garantie du
présent guide.
Pour en assurer un fonctionnement optimal, la
cafetière devrait subir un détartrage tous les trois à
six mois, ou lorsqu’il y a des dépôts blancs dans le
réservoir d’eau chaude. Il arrive que le tartre s’accu-
mule plus rapidement; il est alors nécessaire de
procéder au détartrage plus souvent.
1re étape : Assurez-vous d’avoir au moins 1,4 litre
(8 oz) de vinaigre blanc non dilué. Vous aurez égale-
ment besoin d’une tasse en céramique (n’utilisez pas
de gobelet en papier) et d’un accès à un évier.

• Branchez la cafetière séparément.
• Vérifiez que la cafetière est bien branchée.

• Réenclenchez le disjoncteur au besoin.

que la lumière s’allume.
La cafetière n’infuse
pas lorsqu’on l’utilise
pour la première fois
• Si la cafetière est froide/gelée, attendez au moins deux heures pour
qu’elle atteigne la température ambiante avant de la remettre en
marche.

pas
• Assurez-vous qu’il y a de l’eau dans le réservoir d’eau chaude.
• Placez une tasse sur le plateau à tasse.
• Assurez-vous de ne pas utiliser une tasse en verre transparent. Le
détecteur de tasse ne pourra pas la détecter et le voyant “Placer une
tasse” clignotera.

pas complètement
• L’aiguille de sortie peut être obstruée. (Voir la page 3)
• Nettoyez le support à K-Cup si nécessaire et rincez-le sous le robinet

• Procédez au détartrage de la cafetière (Voir la page 4).
• Si vous avez répété les étapes de détartrage deux fois et que la cafetière
n’infuse toujours pas, communiquez avec le Service à la clientèle au

La cafetière s’éteint
