When hanging the surround speakers, select a rigid and hard
place on the wall which can withstand the weight of the speak-
ers.
1. Attach the provided mounting hardware onto the rear panel of each
speaker using the provided screw. (Except for CRS-N551)
2. Install a screw, which is commercially available, with sufficient
strength on the wall. When screwing in, leave the head and upper
stem of the screw projected by 7 to 9 mm from the wall surface.
3. Mounteachspeakerbyhookinguptheholeofthespeakerrearpanel

Experiencing SRS 3D
The Sound Retrieval System is an epochal system which produces a three-dimensional sound space by applying the most
suitable processing to the sound signal on the basis of the human listening mechanism. This permits real depth and sound
location, considered as difficult to realize with conventional 2-channel stereo (general stereo). A sufficient effect can be
obtained for any source (CD, tape, broadcasts, etc.). Recording with applied SRS 3D also is possible.

DSP (Digital Signal Processor) playback
The DSP mode uses the digital processing capability of the DSP to create the reverberation components (factors of sound
reflections in a variety of spaces), that determine the feeling of presence, without altering the quality of the music source.
DSP mode
The DSP mode creates the ambiance of a hall, disco or live house from any kind of program source. This mode is particularly effective
when listening to a stereo program source such as a CD, TV and FM broadcasting. Although the DSP mode can create a simulated stereo
surround effect from a monaural source, the proper effect may not be obtained depending on the played software.
If you are operating the main unit, press the LISTEN MODE key

1. With some tapes, a squeaky noise is produced when the tape is stopped automatically. This is due to the tape protection function, and not
a malfunction.
2. Do not use longer tape than 110 minutes tapes, for the tape is too thin and gets easily tangled.
