Note:The GTO320 and GTO7520 are designed for direct
replacem ent of factory speakers behind original factory
grilles; therefore, they do not contain the grilles and trim
ring shown in Figure 1.
Note: Som e installations m ay require som e or all of the
m ounting ears to be rem oved from the GTO420. Rem ove
your original speakers first to determ ine whether any
m ounting ears m ust be rem oved.

4c and 4d. The GTO620 and GTO630 use J BL’s patented Interm ount II™
m ounting system . Interm ount II provides for easy installation of these
speakers in m any standard and nonstandard locations
that will accom m odate a 6-1/2" speaker.

Using Interm ount II™ in Am erican and Japanese
cars with openings for 6-1/2" speakers as shown
in Figures 4a and 4b.
Im portant: When using the steel m ounting rings, you
m ust use the sheet m etal screws with undersized heads
that are included in the hardware pack and m ake sure
that the ring is m ounted to a com pletely flat surface.

Note: If you are m ounting the speakers behind the
factory door panel or grille, om it the grille and trim
ring. Place the U-shaped clips over the speaker’s
outside flange, align the hole in the clip with the notch
in the speaker’s basket and insert the screw through
the hole in the clip.
