INSTALLING THE BACK EXTENSION
(FIGURE 2)
This kit includes the following:
1. Alignthebackextensioninserttubeswiththebackexten-
sion brackets on the wheelchair as shown in FIGURE 2.

NOTE:Fasteningstripsshouldfacetherearofthewheelchair.
2. Seat the insert tubes firmly into position in the back
extension brackets.
INSTALLING THE BACK EXTENSION
BRACKETS (FIGURE 1)
NOTE:Makesurethatthewheelchairisunfoldedonalevel
surface, with the wheel locks engaged.
NOTE:Alignmentnotchesshouldsitfirmlyonthealignment
screws. Insert tubes should NOT rotate in back extension
brackets.

1. Remove the upper two (2) mounting screws and
washers securing the back upholstery. Refer to
DETAIL“A”inFIGURE1.

2. Align the upper and lower mounting holes in the back
extension brackets with the upper two (2) mounting
holesinthebackupholsteryandbackcanes. Referto
DETAIL “B” in FIGURE 1.

NOTE: The back extension brackets accommodate several
models of chairs, replace only the mounting screws that are
removed. An extra set of screws is included for instances
of loss or damage.

3. Install the two (2) existing mounting screws and washers
as shown in DETAIL “B”. Tighten securely.

4. Repeat for opposite side.
